    Chicken Parmigiana Dinner

I grew up in Levittown and had just about every pizza place in the area. Crespo's is by far superior. Their marinara sauce is so good that I often stop in to pick up a container of just that. Their dinners are great (my favorite is the chicken parm) and their pizza is unmatched (my favorite is the vodka penne pizza ordered well done). They deliver super fast and my order is always perfect.

We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, service and food at Crespo's. It's quite cozy inside and also very apparent they made an effort to make it look like a small restaurant rather than a bare bones pizza joint. The owner, Diego was very friendly and welcoming. He sat us in one of their comfortable booths and gave us their surprisingly extensive menu. Crespo's is not just pizza. They have a wide range of entrees, salads and sandwiches as well as some healthy options like grilled chicken and vegetables. It was low carb day for me so I had 2 side orders of grilled chicken and 1 side of sautéed broccoli rabe. Fantastic!! Generous portion of grilled chicken with perfectly cooked broccoli rabe. Unlike other places I've been their sautéed veggies are not swimming in oil. Both the chicken and rabe were just right on the oil and very flavorful. My husband had the meat lover's pizza. The pie was piled high with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, onion, peppers and mushrooms. It had a thin yet sturdy crust which held the weight of all the toppings. My husband could pick up each slice and did not need a knife and fork. Diego took great care of us. Even though the kitchen was busy readying take-out orders, Diego came to our table frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. It was truly a great experience and we will most definitely be back... often!

Literally the best chicken bacon ranch wrap I've ever had! If they take this much care with my $8 wrap. I can believe the rest of the menu will be as good. Just look at it!

    Sausage Slice Well Done

Stopped in for a late afternoon slice to hold off hunger for a few hours. Nice shop with a half dozen booths and broad Italian menu. HDTVs playing Mexican talk shows. I asked for a slice of sausage pie "well done," from those under the display glass. It arrived hot and steaming, and certainly what I asked for. Sadly, all the heat had not helped rigidify the chassis. It still collapsed under its own weight. The crust was soggy from an approach that put too much on top and didn't allow enough moisture to escape in the oven. The taste was there, but the texture was AWOL. There aren't many pizza joint in this area that understand the right balance between ingredients and strong crust that results in a pie that is crisp, tasty and light on its feet. Loading up on cheese at the expense of sauce and other toppings just misses the mark. The secret is that when it comes to great pizza, less is more.

    Meat Combination Pizza

Crespo Fratelli's another entry in the quest to find quality food that delivers to my work, and another under-performer. I ordered directly through Yelp via Eat24 around 4:30, food arrived 5:10-15, average. Ordered a large meat combination pizza (Pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, and bacon.) and an order of mega fries, Pizza was averagely priced, fries were crazy cheap. (3.99, Legit) Pizza was alright, texture was way off with the crust being far too thin and dried out, and the center of the pie, loose and sagging. (No one likes a sagging tip.) Sauced used was quite good, a mild spicing that pairs well with the meats chosen- sausage here was very flavorful- and well cooked, "meatballs" were slices of meatball which could easily be mistaken as round cuts of sausage- okay but less of a kick than the sausage for sure, pepperoni was average, with bacon being the ironic odd man out. Toppings were evenly distributed, not very loaded on but that's okay because they packed a lot of flavor. The bacon on the pizza as well as the fries was under-done, some fatty bits as well, not the hallmark light crunch of properly cooked bacon, wiz was average as well, and the tin wasn't exactly packed with fries, but $4 feels fair. Fries themselves were fairly unremarkable. Crespo's pizza toppings are fantastic, but the pizza itself felt lacking, this maybe it's more of a pasta and meat kind of place than a pizzeria- ill try their other offerings and update if opinions change. Flavor & Presentation 3.5/5 | Service & Speed 3/5 | Price & Portion 3.66/5 Overall 3.5/5

After several trips to Crespo's I can say with confidence that they make the best Brooklyn pie in Bucks County! In addition to the great pizzas, they make some of the best pasta/seafood dishes that I have had in some time. I highly recommend the linguini pescatore...

The guy working behind the counter was pleasant and knowledgeable about their coffee offering which comes from Homestead Coffee Roasters of Upper Black Eddy. Their drink menu consists of hot/cold coffee, tea, lattes, and espresso based drinks. I tried the drip coffee and would highly recommend it. It is a private label version of Homesteads Darkness - dark & bold with notes of rich, smokey chocolate. I enjoyed the dark roast, rich chocolate and its bold full body. The cortado and espresso I had were ok. I found them to be a little too bitter, but there was a strong roasted earthiness flavor that I liked. On a return trip I'll have to try their Vietnamese coffee. Food wise I've had the sausage egg and cheese on a bagel and a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. They are simple and decent sized with simple folded egg patties and cheddar cheese on average bagels. The sausage had a little spicy kick and the bacon was pretty tasty (NOTE: they do offer pork roll as an option). I was given some hot sauce packets to go. You can also get sandwiches on a croissant. The rest of the menu is simple - toasts, sandwiches, salads, some items for the kids. They do sell their private label coffee beans in retail bags and will grind them for you. I'll stop in again if I'm in the area. The coffee and ambiance is great, the food is ok to good, service great and the idea of a non profit that supports community is commendable. Thanks!!

Turns out the dining room is to the left of the door and the first room is basically a fast food take out area. Reminded us of Aldo's in Holland...if you have ever been there. The dining room was basically a no frills kinda place but much nicer than the other side. Love a byob and we had more bottles than people...party time! (Cheers). At the end of the meal Salvatore gave us complimentary choclate lemoncello...amazing. Soooo...the food itself. We started with calamari and also the antipasto. Perfect for sharing and all delicious. Calamari was a good one. I ordered the chicken française, which was even better as leftovers the next day since it marinated in the sauce. Hubs enjoyed his veal Marcella. In fact everyone enjoyed everything. Overall, we all left feeling full, satisfied, pleased and very happy. It was a good time! Thumbs definitely up on this place.

The crowd varied from some regulars at the bar to a mix of couples, friends and families in the seating area. I took my son twice for late Monday dinners and found only a few tables occupied. Our server on both visits was a kind and welcoming woman who was helpful with the menu. Their menu covers all of the bases - apps, soups, salads, sandwiches and suppers. They have specials posted on a whiteboard with a small tap list (several beers a few of which are craft). I had fresh Fiddlehead IPA on tap both times. For my first time I ordered the Soprano - Prosciutto, Spicy Capicola, Genoa Salami, Sharp Provolone, Lettuce, Tomato and Onion. Finished with Olive Oil, Vinegar and a Dash of Italian Seasoning. $11 They give a choice of seeded or non and of course I went seeded. I would say it's close to a clone of Mazzanti's classic Italian. I really enjoyed it and would order it again. The home made chips that came with it were fresh and crispy.
