After taking my first bite, my eyes rolled up in my head. Pizza was as good as I remembered. The crust, sauce, cheese and spices were delicious. This family owned cheesesteak and slice shop in Bensalem has been in the clan for over 30 years. Papa Vincenzo and Mama Rose are still behind the counter and in the kitchen doing their thing; opening weekdays at 7 a.m. to keep their morning customers happy with their breakfast pizza. We were there for takeout in the afternoon and in the mood for cheesesteak and sausage, pepper & onion sandwiches. Ordered both with extra sweet peppers and sides of pizza sauce. The grill cook did a nice job. He started grilling the peppers/onions first; got them soft and translucent before dropping the thin sliced steak on top. As he worked the spatula cutting and mixing the mound, I could see everything being blended. He had a similar approach with the Italian sweet sausage; using sliced sausage on the grill first until adding the onions and peppers so they were all finished at the same time and blended as with the cheesesteak. So much better than just dropping them in on top at the end. When we opened both aluminum foil wrapped sammies at the kitchen table, they were still steaming with an aroma that brought smiles. First bites were terrific as all that blending at the grill made for almost homogenized texture and perfect flavors. If a suggestion would be in order, something should be done to keep the torpedos from becoming so moist on the trip home. Perhaps, a submarine box with a few vents would do the trick. That could result in a 5 Star sighting! read more

Have eaten here several times over the years and I can say they have always been very friendly and the food was always solid. I've had takeout, delivery and dined in and every experience was good. The breakfast pizza's are very good and on my most recent experience the pizza is still solid. I ordered delivery and although the cheese shifted a little on the way, the pizza's ingredients were tasty. The sauce is a little sweet, but just right, not overly sweet, the dough was a little chewy, personally I think it could have been cooked a little bit longer, but the cheese was fresh and tasty. Everyone enjoyed the pizza and now I'm thinking a breakfast pizza is in my near future. Keep up the good work guys! read more

We ordered from Vincenzo's yesterday & today & it was GREAT both nights. My wife ordered a chicken cheese steak sandwich & I ordered spaghetti and meatballs the first night the chicken cheese steak sandwich was great chicken was juicy and fresh. Roll was very fresh. Spaghetti was very good pasta cooked perfectly. Sauce was very tasty. Meatballs were awesome. The second night I ordered a chicken cheese steak sandwich with mushrooms. after tasting my wife's chicken cheese steak the night before I had to get more. And It was even better than the night before. WOW!! Tonight She ordered a true Italian hoagie. It's under specialty hoagies. She said it was awesome it looked wonderful packed with prosciutto & other Italian meats. Everybody promises their cheesesteaks are the best. Look y'all there is a big difference between a cheesesteak in the South compared to one in the North. These guys here help me understand that. They gave me a vibe as if I walked into a Sopranos scene when I walked in. A real Philly should be impossible to close. If you find yourself in a situation where your sub is touching both sides at the top politely had it back and tell them to "Do Better". I called 1/2 hour before they close (apparently that is at 8pm which I find absurd for a pizza place). They told me to call another pizza place. This is probably not the best way to get new customers. I don't really care how good the reviews of their food are, you don't turn away a new customer (and tell them to call another place) just because its a half hour before you close. That's bad business. So basically, these people just lost out on my repeat business because they wanted to skip out of work early. Good job! One more thing to add.. If a customer calls and mentions that they found you via your reviews on the Internet, that probably means that they're relying heavily on your Internet presence. This is 2013. Get a website. Post some menus, and probably don't chuckle at someone who found you via your internet reviews to call another place.. This pizzeria is located within an industrial section of Bensalem. I've been by this place plenty of times, but have never stopped in. What lured me in today was a sign advertising two American hoagies for $5. When I see stuff like this, its hard to not stop in to at least see what's going on. Well, I stepped in at about 11am and there were a couple older ladies taking orders and prepping for lunch, while.one guy made pizzas and another made deliveries. How was the hoagies... Well, rarely eat American hoagies and don't have much of any expectations for them. But this hoagie was pretty good. She made them two separate ways as I asked so I could take one home for my kids later. I also ordered a slice of pizza which was great. The service was fine and friendly. It is not a contemporary place by a long shot. If I was stopping through while working, I'd have a seat in the dining room. But it was more of a takeout place IMO. Ordered Italian hoagie and cheesesteak . I order from this place at least once a week. Prices have gone up. Cheesesteak was pretty good but for 9.00 it should be. The most expensive price for a cheesesteak in our area. Italian hoagie was also 9.00, and I have never seen a hoagie with less meat then this one. They have a special that you can get 2 American hoagies for 7.00 so I would not expect it to be filled with meat for that price ( they are not ), but when your charging 9.00 bucks I expect a good hoagie. just ridiculous. Lots of lettuce tomatoes and onions, not much else. I have had a side of fries from this place that was 3.50 for the smallest amount of fries I ever saw. The owners need to price check themselves with other places in the area. I was seriously disappointed and will have to order from another restaurant in the future. read more

I love their pizza - as good today as when the opened in the 80s...the upside down with sharp provolone is killer! I also appreciate that one young man remembers previous orders and asks if that is what we want again. My kid is addicted to their chicken fingers and fries. We also adore the older gentleman who delivers..he is such a sweet and friendly guy. (Can I adopt you?) Their food is fresh and hot. The pasta dishes are outstanding. Busy place...everyone is always hustling but delivery is always within the time specified. They are closed on Sundays...but everyone needs a day off. Well deserved, too! read more

I would like to First mention my pizza / Italian food credentials, I am Italian-American who was in the bakery business, I sold the business and its still in operation after 27 years. In the past 2 weeks I tasted original Grimaldi's Difara, Joe's East Village, John's of Bleecker Street Prince Street Pizza and Pepe's Pizza of New Haven Connecticut. Vincenzo's sauce and crust is in the category of those pizza Institutions. It goes without saying that you cant be in business for almost 30 years and not be doing something right.This is a real mom and pop institution that serves delicious pizza and other Italian favorites consistently everyday. The real star at Vincenzo's is Vince the owner, and the most amazing breakfast pizza you've ever had,actually that you've never had because I've never seen nor had it anywhere else it's a must-try (serves it at 8am). If that's not enough you have to try Vincenzos Tomato pie. I came in early this morning and he only had one slice of breakfast pie available, so Vinces sister Rose offered me a slice of of one of Vincenzos special tomato pies. It literally made me cry, it tasted like my Nona's tomato pie. I Immediately ordered one and I'm picking it up at 4 p.m. tonight to share with my family. You have to try Vincenzo's. As a side note if you've read my review you know that I know pizza and you've either considered or have already attempted to go to Pizzeria Bedia, in Philadelphia(No phone,only cash, no guarantees that you even will get a pie. Ordered breakfast pizzas and regular pizzas for corporate meetings. Owner, Vince, was so helpful and courteous, everything arrived on time and was great quality. The breakfast pizzas were delicious, toppings fresh and plentiful. The regular pizzas were also very good, nice thin crust, cooked well, not burned on the bottom as seems to happen at other pizza places. The prices seemed quite fair to me. Vince was kind enough to also provide catering menus, so, hoping we'll be able to do more with this restaurant in the future.
