We purchased a 2019 Honda CRV in November 2024 from Crest Acura. The vehicle was supposed to include two key fobs. Upon pickup, they stated (after the paperwork was signed) that there was only one key fob and they were working with the previous owner to get the second one. They said they'd "be in touch" when the second key fob came in. After a month of waiting, I reached out to ask them the status on this and if they didn't receive the 2nd key fob if they would "do the right thing" and supply us with another key fob. They stated they would not be doing that. So, the good news is the car is running great. The bad news is that the dealership wasn't transparent about the key fob issue until after paperwork was signed and they refuse to make it right with us. It's now day 45 and still not second key fob. Suffice to say, I won't be buying another vehicle in this dealership due to their lack of transparency, disclosure, and refusal to do the right thing. read more

Had appointment at 2pm,waited one hour! Smoke and mirrors sales tactics. Signed contract for full asking price and came back to pick up 2019 Lexus AND finance person would not honor it. Gave me new contract with three year warranty and Ziebart treatment removed. Went to sales manager and asked him to straighten this out. Finance person then agrees to original contract. He then shows me another contract and says this what is owed. His number was $1400 OVER ! He then changes numbers and is OVER by $400. Had him put in calculator line by line items and the final number agrees with my original Contract!!! One and half hours OF DECEPTION. THEN I ask for copy of work and coverage of Ziebart. They said would email it to me. Never happened. Called Ziebart and found out not all the work was done!!! Called spoke to General manager and apologized with NO COMPENSATION and Zeibert work NOT RESOLVED. INTRGRITY AND HONESTY IS NOT AT THIS DEALERSHIP. I am 72 and bought many cars,this is the worse dealership I have ever experienced! read more

The customer service we receive here is always excellent! The Service Manager Jeff and service writer Ryan made sure we had everything done to our satisfaction, and our car came back serviced and well-vacuumed/washed (awesome- it was super dirty!). The loaners they offer are a great bonus. It costs a little more to have your car serviced here, but it is worth the extra care and attention we receive, and peace of mind that everything was done to Acura specs. I also love the online appointment scheduling- makes it super easy! Our buying experience here was pretty good, too- it took some doing to get to an agreeable bottom line, but in the end, it worked out. I would probably rate 4 stars in that area. read more

I would buy another car from this dealership solely because of the extraordinary service department under the leadership of Jorge and Jeff. They go out of their way to accommodate customer's requirements. The service in this dealership is garbage. I have taken my car there several times for service when I'm in town visiting my parents and each time I have had bigger issues than when I dropped the car off. I took it for an alignment several months ago and when I got the car back it veered even worse than before. I never got a sheet confirming the alignment specs so who knows if it was ever done. I took my car for a multi-point inspection and a tire rotation and when I got the car back, the next day the battery was completely dead. AAA and the place I had to have the car towed to confirmed the battery was completely shot. A battery inspection is supposed to be part of the inspection which was never done. Obviously the technician didn't check it and who knows if anything else was done. You take a car to a dealership because you expect quality service. That's why it costs way more. Avoid his place. They will cheat you like they did to me. read more

I purchased a 2016 Sonata limited on March 28th a little over two weeks ago. I had my mechanic evaluate the car after it was purchased and he informed me the brake accessories were incorrect as well as the rotors being in bad shape. Two days after getting the car back the moon roof came off it's tracks and almost caused an accident in Cortland. I called Crest Acura and asked for their help as I have yet to drive 1000 miles and it has not yet been 30 days since the purchase and they refused to help or make it right. The moon roof isn't a part of the limited warranty and they could care less about the brakes and rotors so they said they will not help. I hate complaining and tend to look past little issues and deal with them myself, but they deserve to be embarrassed for selling a car with these issues and sending me away two weeks after I bought the car. What else is there to say other than they seem to be a terrible dealership and they will screw you over if they have the chance. read more

Terrible service. The person working in actual service tried to be helpful and brought me inside where the sales person made no eye contact. No greeting. Texted someone on his personal phone while talking. He is a sales person and has no clue on their packages. If I had wanted to buy a car what would they do? Then he told me to call someone else the following day while texting someone still. Never In my life have I seen such terrible professionalism or service, except Rochester which is also terrible. I will never buy an Acura vehicle again because of their service. It's a great car but customer service is that terrible. Stick to actual luxury vehicles where their employees get proper training on how to deal with customers. read more

I have purchased 3 Acuras from this dealer. My last incident where I took in my vehicle for inspection, oil change, and tire rotation. When I was called by the service advisor that my RDX needed the brake calipers taken apart cleaned and lubricated, mind you the vehicle passed inspection. I was skeptical the vehicle has 8k miles and told him no. So when I got there he told me a story of calipers sticking etc even though the pads were fine. Crest is entitled to zero stars. Crest Acura took my car in for a body shop repair and the car was returned to me with engine problems, body alignment problems, noise in the cabin. When I complained about problem to the owner Jim Barr, he was nasty and attacked me personally. The car still has these many problems! I have purchased two cars at crest, each time I purchased a car, Jim personally promised me he would take care of problems and make sure any repairs would be done quickly and with a loaner car. Jim lied to me. Instead of dealing with this issue in an honest straightforward way, he has failed, crest has failed. I would never buy another car there again and I certainly would not recommend them to anyone else looking for a car or service work. Stay as far away from Crest Acura as you can! read more

Unfortunately, I no longer live in New York and it took another dealership trying to charge me insane prices for an oil change to make me truly appreciate my past experiences at Crest Acura. I'm very particular about my TSX, but the service staff here is very professional, provided a luxury car experience, and addressed all my concerns every time I came in. They've kept my car running in top shape and I've since driven it from New York to California and then Texas with only normal maintenance and wear. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. The WORST service I have ever experienced. A week after I drove my car off the lot the air conditioner completely stopped working and the back up camera just came up black so I brought it in and they tried to tell me that I had to pay to get these things fixed even though I just bought it and have an extended warranty. They had my car for a MONTH with very little communication about what was going on with my car unless I called multiple times a day. Fast forward to not even a year into having the vehicle and once again the AC stopped working and I wanted them to check in a couple other things(air bag light came on) so I brought it back in. Apparently nothing was going to be covered under my extended warranty and everything had to be out of pocket even though this issue should have already been fixed and was a safety concern! They sent my car to a different dealership because they didn't have the equipment to fix my car and once again no communication on my vehicle. I called multiple times a day and I was told nothing has been touched on my car yet but I still owe a labor fee??! I tried to get everything figured out after days and days of being frustrated and given bull answers I called to talk to the service manager. I was directed to someone I've never spoken to and tried to explain my frustration and the man from sales said "I don't know what to tell you, call back tomorrow when service is open" and hung up on me. So I took it upon myself to do Crests job and call the dealership that my car had been shipped to (I was told everything would be handled for me and I would get all my info through crest) and I spoke to the nicest man who gave me all the information I needed plus let me know that there was a recall on my car that apparently crest knew about but NEVER said anything to me. They called the corporate office and are going to cover most of my repairs (besides my ac) because it was a safety issue. I was almost in tears on the phone with the other dealership because they made everything so simple and stress free for me. Crest should take some notes. Don't settle for Crest just because of a good deal keep looking around because there are places that actually take care of their customers. Never dealing with them again!! Our MDX electronics went haywire following a severe thunderstorm when it was parked outside, and I was certain that the control computer was fried. Random warning lights for advanced features like stability control and adaptive cruise, brake and headlights flashing randomly, etc. We'd just relocated from the west coast and had to look up the local Acura dealer. Crest took the vehicle in on an emergency basis and even managed to arrange a loaner vehicle, very impressive for a dealership that hadn't sold the car. It took them only a couple of hours to troubleshoot an unusual and difficult problem, and they were able to isolate it to a $48 relay. This dealership demonstrates exceptional professionalism, courtesy, and competence. That doesn't just happen by itself, so hats off to the staff here. read more

I bought a used 2014 Honda Accord EX-L V6 on Feb 26th 2017 for $18,000 with 59,000 miles. After the first week I brought the car in for a few minor issues, they went over them and replaced a key battery, but didn't fix the loud humming noise I'd hear at high speeds on the highway coming from a front tire. The sales guy said he took it on the highway and didn't hear the noise. Fast forward to 4/25/17 when I called because my rearview camera went completely black. It had been going black once a week or freezing, but I though it was normal because I've never had a car with a backup camera before, I would put the car in park and shut it off, then restart it and the camera would work again. They got me in the following week on 5/2/2017 and said I was 800 miles over the 3 month or 3,000 mile mark and they wouldn't pay to fix the issue but after much determination, they agreed to find out the cause, but wouldn't fix the issue for me unless I paid. The service center called me around 2pm, said that the cause was a crack in the cover that caused moisture to get in and break the camera. They said the cost was $523.00 to fix and I would be responsible to fix it myself. I spoke to the sales manager Phil and he said they would knock off $100.00, but that's all they would do for me because it was over the warranty by 800 miles. At this point I asked to speak to someone higher than him because I drive to Utica twice a week for my job and that adds up the miles, but it had only been about 56 days since I bought the car. Phil (the sales manager) gave me the number to call the owner and his name Jim Barr to contact. I called Jim Barr (the owner of Crest Acura) and left a message for him. The next afternoon I called Mr. Barr again and spoke to him about the issue and he said he talked to Phil (the sales manager) and there was nothing he can do to help me. I explained my situation but was told to contact Honda itself and see if there is something they would do for me. I will NEVER buy another used car from them again or even do business of any sorts after being treated like this and spending $18,000 on my used 2014 Honda Accord EX-L. read more

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Where do I start? Had a vibration in my (still warrantied) vehicle. Brought it here in October 2018, at which time I was told I POSSIBLY have a bent rim, but they could try to save me money, by balancing the tires first (how thoughtful!). Issue remained, and I brought it back on 1/2/19 to have the "bent rim" repaired. I explained to the crook service adviser (Ila Young) that I would like to see the bend in the rim with supporting documentation form the Road Force Balance Machine. She comes back a while later and explains that the wheel is bent, the cost for a new one (~$500), and would be happy to show me, after I've ordered the rim. At this point, I've already saw right through the charade, and demand to see the bent rim now, along with the supporting documentation from the balancing machine. Ila disappears to "lunch" for an hour+. This was after my car was left outside (after it was completed) while Ila had disappeared, as she didn't have the courage to talk to me directly after lying. During this time, another adviser says my car is done, and it's no charge and the vibration has been resolved. Also, conveniently, they claim their printer is not printing, and state that they will mail me documentation. I explain that I want a tech to ride with me to verify the issue is fixed, as I've already caught them being sketchy. I also demanded the paperwork before I was leaving the office. The service manager, Jorge, rode along with me, to verify the issue was fixed. I was then shown a generic tire balancing screen (with timestamps that did not match when my wheels were actually being balanced). I was told that they weren't able to print the page from the balancing machine as "they don't usually do that" and "the printer doesn't print". Sure enough, when I looked at the printer, they removed the ink cartridges so it couldn't print. Everyone had to get their story straight. Long story short, I was charged for work that was never done initially, and they almost got me for $500 for another rim. Worst experience I have ever had in not just auto service, but service in general, and this is coming from a guy who makes it an effort to go out of his way to commend good service. Honestly, rating my experience 1-star is to high. First of, they charged me for a service i later found out by calling Acura I shouldn't have been charged for. Then they failed my nys inspection for two reasons, the first being daylight running light not working which I didn't even notice. Now this I can understand but tried charging me $40 to replace when the bulb only cost $4. When I asked why so much I was informed it was quite the process. The second, their was a small rip in my wiper blade which was not even affecting the way my wiper functioned and tried charging me $55 replace. I would have paid for the daylight bulb to be replaced but found the wiper concern to be completely blown out of proportion and felt like I was being taken advantage of. I declined there service and awaited completion of the service. After listening to a few other customers complain of their service, I wondered if service manager was aware of what was going on so I discussed it with him to see if he was aware and what his feedback. It was then that I learned that he was as or probably more corrupt then the service agent whom personality was colder than the weather that day. After not acknowledging my concerns, showing zero remorse for my experience, and instead insisting it was standard practice, even quoting me their policies, I couldn't help but be left with the impression that he could care less about my experience and to an extent may have found humor in the way I was feeling. So I left, bought $11 wiper blade from advanced auto and $4 bulb, replaced the wiper within a few minutes, and literally popped the hood, stared directly at the daylight running lights bulb holder, pulled it out, removed the bulb, put in the new bulb, and reinserted the bulb holder into its fixture. The bulb replacement which I was told was "quite the process" took me less than two minutes to do. I will not only never ever go back their, I will never buy an Acura again, and will go as far as to share my experience with anyone and everyone that inquires so that they don't have the same experience I did. read more

I have been using Crest Acura for repair and maintenance of my 2008 TL type-s for the past 2 years. The service has consistently been excellent. The service writers and technicians are thorough, polite, well spoken and efficient. Additionally, they provide services such as multi point inspection and a car wash each and every time my car is there. That adds value to my service and I leave feeling better knowing that everything has been looked over. I've used other dealerships in the area (Drivers Village, East Syracuse Chevy, and Romano) for past vehicles and they are simply not even close to providing as good of an experience as Crest. I read previous reviews from other websites and was actually looking forward to going to the dealership, which is hard to believe. I did my research on the 2012 MDX before going to the dealership and had a couple of quotes from different dealerships already. If they could match or beat the quote, I was ready to purchase the vehicle immediately. I was greeted with a warm welcome. I didn't want to waste my time or their time so I was upfront with them. I told them that I have been price shopping and asked if they could match or beat the competitors price. They asked to see the quote and make a copy. I was weary at first and they told me that they needed to make a copy to justify the price they were going to offer. I asked them if they were going to contact the other dealerships that gave me quotes. They said they wouldn't. I showed them the quotes, which was probably my mistake. They couldn't beat the price so they made a sales pitch regarding their customer service and satisfaction due to their upfront, honest business practice. I told them to write me the best offer they can give me and I would go home and think about it. A couple of days later, I decided that I would purchase the car from them, that the convenience of dealing with a honest, reputable local dealership was worth the price difference. I called them up and let them know that I would be coming in tomorrow. I called the other two dealerships to thank them of their hard work and to inform that I was not going to be purchasing a vehicle from them, that I was going to purchase from the local dealership. I was then told that it was unprofessional of me to have given their quotes to a different dealership, that the manager from Crest Acura from Syracuse called them directly. I was surprised and pissed. I immediately called Jeff Parker (Jim was the manager that was working with him) and asked him if they called the other dealerships. He denied that either he nor the manager contacted the other dealerships. I confronted him and caught him lying. I told him that I would not be coming in to purchase the vehicle, that he lost my business for being deceitful. From this experience, I would not recommend purchasing any vehicle from them. They couldn't even match the price that other dealerships around the area where offering. And they had to stoop so low by calling the other dealership to eliminate the competition. My experience with Crest Acura Collision Center was fantastic! I carelessly backed into a pole the other day and stopped by Crest the next day to have them give me a repair estimate. Fabbio (I think was his name) was so helpful. He told me that instead of getting my bumper completely replaced for $1300 (which is half of my life savings) that since it was only cosmetic damage, he'd help me out clean it up for $300 or $400. Deal! He was able to have me come in the next day and leave with it the same day. It looked as if I had never had even backed into a pole!!! Not to mention it ended up costing under $300!!! AND they cleaned the inside and outside of the car so it looked even better than it had before my little "accident". Couldn't have left any happier. They did a fantastic job and I would recommend their services in a heartbeat! read more

I usually do not go out of my way to write reviews, but the buying experience that I had at Crest Acura was unlike any I have experienced before, and felt that it should be shared. A few months ago I was in the market for a new car. I picked out my top five cars and test drove the first two. The Acura TLX was car number three. I didn't even get to cars four or five. After a few minutes walking around the showroom, Candis greeted me warmly. She asked if I had any questions about the TLX. My initial response was "I am just looking". She made herself available, but no overbearing. I asked her a host of questions, all of which she answered honesty, and without hesitation. She clearly knows the product. We went out for a test drive, and it was evident that Candis knew the car inside and out. After the drive, I was hooked and officially done looking for cars. This was the car that I wanted. We discussed leasing versus buying options. At no point during the discussion did Candis make me feel pressure to buy on the spot. This was the point that I knew Crest was a reputable dealer that I wanted to do business with. After a 30 minute discussion, I told her that I needed to think it over. I left and then came back two days later. We negotiated the price for both a lease and new car. I feel that we came to a good agreement. Some dealers refuse the negotiate. This is not the case with Crest Acura. Candis put me in the car that I wanted, for the price I was willing to spend, all without the pressure and angst that can sometimes accompany a new car purchase. Her after sales follow-up was as strong as her sales pitch. I am glad that I had the Acura TLX as one of the cars on my list, and even more happy that I had a sales rep like Candis to guide me through the process in a seamless and stress free way.
