Yes, I'm back. Yes, I had another flat. This time, I had the distinct displeasure of closing up my restaurant around midnight and walking out to my car after a long day to discover a flat tire. Jesse went to work after about fifteen minutes. In ten minutes he rolls my tire back out and I knew that Crestview Service had once again, against all odds, fixed my flat. No one had sold me a new tire, no one had hassled me: just simple, quick, friendly, efficient service. Amazing! AGAIN! My car was having MAJOR A/C problems. I went to multiple locations to get this problem fixed. I was told that I didn't have enough freon and that my A/C was just fine. After maybe 3 days, my car would blow out hot air again. I went to crestview and explained to them that my car is still blowing hot air. They told me they would check it out again and that they'll give me a call after they run a diagnostic. After a couple hours they called and told me that it's something called the "vapor coil" and it's more than they expected. A little under 2,000 dollars. They didn't only fix the problem my car had, they also called the warranty company for me and dealt with them. I only had to pay $200.00 out of almost $2,000! Chris gave me updates 2 times a day about my car. I didn't have to do anything but leave my car with them. How convenient for me as the customer. Crestview had my car for a couple days. Just following up my last review, I had simply called to get a quote on tires, and they were so helpful, Kelly in particular. I did go back, as I said I would, and my tires were done super fast (1hr & 30min). Not a penny more than what he quoted me either. The tires look GREAT! As things go, when you fix one problem, you find two more. I was expecting it, but Kelly was wonderful again, told me the order of importance of the repairs, and how much each would cost. This establishment has been in going for 70 years! I can understand why, if this is the style of service they give to everyone that enters. Please don't hesitate to give them a try. This review goes back and covers many years and many dollars spent. My wife and bought all of our tires at Crestview as well as any repairs and smog tests. The service was good and friendly until one of the longtime employees died who normally handled our cars and I had some specific repairs done on my 1987 Corvette. It had two blown head gaskets in the course of a couple of years--both repaired by Crestview--costing me over $4,000 dollars at the time. The attitude of the owner, Steve, changed when my car cost them money--the result of their own issues and responsibility. In one head gasket repair, they farmed the work out and as the tow truck was pulling my car up on the flatbed, the tow chain broke the rear end of the Corvette. Crestview called and took responsibility. This was the right thing to do and I certainly appreciated it. However, this cost them a fair amount of money. Then, when I got the car back after repairs, I discovered that the driver's side of the car had been keyed. While in their possession. They knew I was very careful about this car and they grudgingly agreed to cover the cost of the repaint. This cost them more money. Later, when I brought my newer car in for minor repairs, I go to get the car and discover a rip in the driver's side leather seat. Just imagine if a mechanic had a screw driver in his back pocket and forgot it was there when he moved the car. This Corvette was much newer and in really good condition. I pointed the rip out to Steve K., the owner, and he didn't believe me! This after spending over $10,000 over the last 15 years. I started to get upset and said, "After all the business I have given you over the years, do you really think I would come down here and try to blame you for a rip in my seat?" The owner said, (I will never forget this) --"Well, if you're going to get an attitude...". Finally, he agreed to have the rip repaired at an auto upholstery shop down the street and cover HALF the cost. So, their negligence cost me over $150. More than the money, it was the owner's attitude that was the last straw. This was approx 4 years ago and I vowed never to give them any more business. And we haven't. read more
