I took my vehicle to Firestone Complete Auto Care for a simple trip inspection to make sure everything was in good shape before traveling. Instead, they came back with a quote of nearly $3,000 in recommended repairs. They claimed I needed a new battery, new brakes and rotors, and even a new tire because it had a nail. The problem is that all of those items had already been replaced within the last three months. To make matters worse, I personally replaced both the engine air filter and cabin air filter less than a week before bringing my car in, yet they still told me those needed to be replaced too. It honestly felt like they were trying to sell me every service they possibly could instead of giving me an honest inspection. If I didn't know anything about cars, I could have easily been talked into spending thousands of dollars on repairs that weren't needed. Based on my experience, I have a hard time trusting their recommendations. I expected an honest trip check, not an attempt to upsell unnecessary work. Extremely disappointed. I hope they start treating customers with honesty and integrity instead of trying to take advantage of them, because eventually that kind of business catches up with you. read more

Carlos is THE guy i recommend to all of my girl friends when they have car issues. As any woman can attest to, getting ripped off by mechanics is not a new experience however, that wasn't my experience when working with him and his team at Firestone on multiple occasions. He has replaced all of my brakes, changed my oil, and replaced my tires and always is very communicative, professional, KIND, and gives me a great rate. He even leveled with me and shared one of his reasons for getting into his line of work was as a kid, seeing his single mother get ripped off by these men and he wanted to pave a new way of integrity so that women, like his mother, could get their car repaired without wondering how we would afford rent the next week. Do not bother with this location. This place is awful. We brought our car in for an appointment we made earlier in the week. 10am for a coolant flush and replacement. We had to leave the car there essentially all day and they said they would call us at 2pm with the quote. Well, they didn't. So we had to call back again and again because they kept saying "we'll call you back in ten minutes with an update!" And 45 minutes would go by! And then at 5pm they call us and say "you're cars done! Come get it!" And when I ask what to pay they said "oh just the inspection fee." Brother....what were you doing with my car for 7 whole hours that you didn't even FIX the problem and now I can't take it anywhere else because you took all damn day??? Insane. I had a great experience at the Firestone Complete Auto Care on La Cienega in West LA. Carlos greeted me right away and clearly explained my options for fixing a nail in my front passenger tire. He was upfront about timing and pricing, and even checked that they had a replacement tire in stock just in case. Luckily, the tire was repairable. While I waited in their clean and comfortable lobby, Carlos kept me updated throughout the process. Jamie handled the repair--he was friendly, professional, and efficient. This morning, I requested an appointment online for 3:00 PM for a simple tire rotation. The appointment was confirmed/approved about an hour. I arrived at 2:55 PM and was told that I would have to wait until closing (6:00 PM). They confirmed that I had a 3:00 PM appointment but just said they were busy. Not even a "sorry for the inconvenience" - the woman at the front seemed perfectly content that they screwed me over. I took the car to Nova a few blocks away (they fit me in right away), and they looked at my tires and said that whoever rotated my tires previously did a bad job. This Firestone is the one that had done my tire rotation months prior. So in summary - they don't care if they make you wait 3 hours past your appointment time, and they also do terrible work. read more

Jenny is very professional about how she took care of me and seeing a manager go out and do what the regular employee would do and to see her do it is a great example to her whole team at this shop. I love going there for services to my Tesla. The staff is very polite, attentive and respectful. Special thanks to Jeff,Omar and Chris. I went there about a week back to check why my car was rattling and to have tires rotated and balanced at Santa Monica location and the found the torn mud cover under my car. yesterday I went back to replace the mud cover with a new one that I had ordered. It was replaced efficiently. There were 2 screws missing and they did not have those. However they secured it tight with ties with no complaints. I was in and out in about 25 minutes. What can I say. These 3 guys are just great. I also want to thank the staff at Encino location where they replaced my flat tire under warranty with new one without any problem. 5 star review for 5 star service. I had a tire emergency it was a Sunday I needed that tire for work for the week. Spoke with Jose on the phone and when I got in the customer service was good. I was also helped by a young lady as well, they both did awesome assisting me, I waited in the lobby until my car tire was replaced and I was good to go, price was cheaper than the dealership so no complaints , also I was in a pickle for my transportation so it was great for my emergency situation. Zero rating! I had my oil changed at this Firestone location last week and noticed that all 4 of my chrome air pressure sleeves and caps that match my chrome rims are missing. You have to take the caps off to check the tire pressure, but you don't have to take off the sleeves. I only use my car to go to the grocery store once a week, so I know where the car has been. Missing 4 of these is no accident! I can't believe how cheesy and juvenile it is to steal something that costs less than $5-$10. Brought in my Tesla cause there was a nail stuck in the rear right tire. After about an hour of waiting they patched it and I went on my way. Over the next couple days I noticed that tire began to lose a bit of air, I brought it into a different tire store and they showed me that the previous repair guy removed a huge chunk of the foam and did a pretty sloppy job at it. Typically when dealing with foam in tires you are supposed to cleanly cut out the area and place it back in, but this repair person just removed it and didn't place it back in. Not only that the patch wasn't even fully secure! I couldn't have been the first person to bring in tires with foam in them. Just a lazy, and sloppy job. read more

One star service by far should've look at reviews before coming here, they definitely try to up sale you on whatever you go in for. Long story short my car had one issue and they end up claiming my issue was my thermostat and turns out it had something to do with my ignition coil and that's with the $110 inspection they run on the car. I guess it didn't show up the first time so they told me my thermostat to have a reason to charge me mind you I never got any indication that my car was having any issues in that regard. I ended up with a 800 charge when my issue was only about 400. If you see this go somewhere else they are truly just trying to get money. By far the worst car service experience I've had would not recommend. read more

If I could give a NEGATIVE SCORE I would!!! I had my car serviced at this location December/2022. When picking the car up the personnel seemed very sketchy. I let the person at the front desk know I was picking up my car his response was, "I wasn't here yesterday." I thought that was weird since I had not mentioned anything but providing my name and letting him know I was here to pick up my car. When I approached my car I immediately noticed there was damage to the passenger door. I let the person at the front desk know and asked for a manager. Immediately he blows the whole thing off stated it was dirt. Gave me the run around about the managers whereabouts. Other employees we're looking at the car and laughed. All of this behavior including the first "I wasn't here" comment gave me reason to believe they knew exactly what happened to the car and found it funny. As a woman when you bring your car to a reputable place there is a level of professionalism that is expected. Ive been dealing with the manager. It is now Match close to April. I still have not heard from the insurance or any one from Firestone that can provide assistance. My car door STILL is DAMAGED. This isn't the first time this location is "shady" with my car. I'm in line waiting to pay but I've been here for around 15 minutes waiting in line. someone get my girl over here some front of house support just needed a tire change since mine was in a vulnerable state. I asked if this is normal and was told by the clerk that this needs to be evaluated ASAP. I was asked to schedule an appt - which is useless. Horrible horrible experience here. I took my car in for a diagnostic on my Toyota matrix after seeing the check engine light come on, they charged $110 dollars to diagnose it, then told me it was $2000 dollars in repairs, and $1000 of that being "miscellaneous" and could not explain what it was. Upon speaking to my cousin, I told them not to pursue the fixings as these are recommended and I ONLY wanted whatever was causing the issue to be fixed. They then told me that they only changed a gasket and it was ready to go and charged me $360. After I left, my car began shaking and turned off needing a jump to start. I took my car to my mechanic and he told me the battery was very loose, none of what they recommended has anything to do with the engine light, and the mechanics at this shop BROKE my valv hose and pcv valv, which causing the shaking. They are cons and POS that only care about upselling, not the person and quality of care. I will never return here and in the process of a lawsuit. They got mad I didn't wanna pay their BS recommendations and intentionally made my car unsafe. Mind you they seen me with two small kids. Beware! If I could give negative stars I would. I DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME ARE $$ I have been going to this location for over 5 years and have watched their CUSTOMER SERVICE go downhill. I called in at 9:00 am to make an appointment for the following day the service person who answered the phone said they were slow and had an appointment for today at 11:00 am. I accepted the appointment and arrived around 10:45 am got checked in and was told they would be done within an hour after patiently waiting in the lobby for 1 hour 15 mins I looked outside to find my car still parked. I walked up to the counter and asked was my car finished the young lady (black girl) at the counter said yes it should be I replied it can't be the car never moved and I've been waiting for over an hour and had an appointment. She RUDELY said well I don't know what to tell you either you can wait or leave they are changing a tire on another car right now. The funny thing is there were at least 3-4 guys working and only two cars in the bay so again why I'm I still waiting on my car when workers are standing around doing absolutely NOTHING my time is valuable. The person assisting me at the counter was a black girl with a very bad attitude she spoke to every customer who had questions about their service with a very unpleasant and unprofessional tone. I was DISAPPOINTMENT at the service are the lack of service I received it here. Their customer service has gone to shit!! I did not get my service done because I had to get back to work and they had no idea when they would get to my car. 1.5 hours of my day wasted. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!
