A few days after we met and I signed the contract, the team came out to remove old roof debris left over from a recent reroofing, removed our home's original insulation, and installed fresh batt insulation in both the attic and crawlspace. They also added rodent proofing throughout the attic while they were at it. About a month later we heard critter noises, so I texted them and they came out to inspect. He didn't find anything in the traps but reset them to be safe. Sure enough, something took the bait because we heard it go off! Jose came back shortly after and discovered 2 mice (thankfully no rats), found a gap where the roof met the garage and sealed it up. He ran an ozone generator as a precaution for any smells. A couple weeks after that we heard faint sounds again. Jose returned, found one more entry point, sealed it, and since then there's been total silence! I really appreciated how thorough and persistent they were even after the job was technically done. Solid team, fair price, and they stand behind their work. Highly recommend Attic Kings!

Not only did Attic King give me the best bid, they went way above and beyond to coordinate the work with me, as I live out of the area. The communication was always prompt, and all my questions were answered with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. On the first day the crew worked an extremely long day removing all the old insulation and ducting, completely cleaning and sanitizing the attic, and installing all new ducting. They sealed every entry point they could find where rodents were getting into the attic . Then they laid traps and waited several days to come back and make sure no more rodents were getting in before they blew in the new insulation. Throughout the entire job, their representative Ofek kept me informed of progress and included pictures at each stage of the job. In an era when Customer Service seems to be a dying art, it's nice to know there's a company that puts the customer first and backs it with excellent workmanship. I could not recommend them more highly!

I would say, they did an excellent job - Starting with Jeremy, who accommodated my schedule for preliminary inspect and gave me a on the spot quote. Elder and the guys did an excellent job in covering up the entire house and finished the job in 2 days. My house had no insulation in the walls- to very less in the attic. After the insulation my Heat as well as Cold is retained inside the house. Heat turns on once in a 24 Hr cycle vs multiple times in an hour previously. If you are thinking of in wall insulation, it's totally worth it. The quote was the most competitive and they were very flexible. I am still closing out the multiple holes in the wall, will take time as i prefer to do it myself- I had plans to paint anyway .

The addition of two QuietCool fans also seemed like a major plus, as I was already familiar with the product and expected it would significantly help with cooling. When it came to the insulation work, I was very pleased. The crew did an excellent job removing the old insulation and installing the new. They worked efficiently, protected my floors well, and ensured that no insulation debris entered the living areas. That part of the job was handled professionally. However, I was less impressed with the radiant barrier installation. This may partly be due to a misunderstanding on my end, as I expected a different type of material, but the end result did not meet my expectations. The biggest issue, unfortunately, was the installation of the fans. At best, it was very poorly executed. The fans are 16" units with 12" duct openings, yet they were installed directly against the gables, which severely restricts airflow. Proper installation should have included a box or shroud to help direct airflow effectively through the fans. Because of this poor airflow, the fans do not cool the attic--in fact, they appear to make things worse. I can actually watch the temperature on the thermostat increase when the fans are turned on. I reached out to my representative multiple times, but the response was disappointing. I was told they could not take the fans back, and when I asked why the attic temperature increases when they are running, I was told there was no explanation and nothing further could be done. As temperatures continue to rise, I'm left frustrated that I spent $1,200 on two fans that perform the opposite of what was promised, with no meaningful support or resolution offered. UPDATE: After posting my initial review, I was contacted by both the project manager and the owner. I reiterated the reasons for my frustration, explaining that my review reflected my honest impression of what I saw as a lack of clear communication and effective management of the project and customer expectations. The project manager apologized for the communication breakdown and asked if I would be open to giving them an opportunity to make things right. A technician was then sent out, and he took the time to fully understand the issue, carefully examine the installation, and make several adjustments to the original work. He believes these changes will help improve airflow in the attic. Since my attic has some unique characteristics, he also provided helpful suggestions for additional ways to improve cooling and airflow--something I feel should have been addressed during the initial planning stage of the project. Whether these changes will result in significant improvement remains to be seen; I'll have a better sense once the weather warms up. I do appreciate the follow-up and the willingness of the project manager to reach out and try to make things right, and I have updated my review accordingly. That said, I want to be clear that the increase in my rating is largely due to the technician and the time he invested in evaluating the full situation, as well as both implementing and proposing thoughtful solutions.

Chris came out early on a Saturday morning to meet me and inspect my attic. He provided a free estimate, according to my availability, not his which I greatly appreciated. When the crew came out they were on time and very professional and courteous. I would also like to add that it was A very hot day yet, they took their time and did not try to rush or take any short cuts. They sealed off everything in the work area and did a very thorough clean up after the work was done. I feel I was given a very fair estimate and even with my job being so small, they still spent most of the day onsite. If you suspect you have a rodent issue in your attic, I recommend Atticare.

The estimator's in-person presentation was very good -- professional, clear, and well organized. The overall process was explained pretty well however I needed more info after he left. The one key issue for me was the R-rating and since R-value is a major factor in comparing insulation options, I wanted to understand exactly what was being installed. I tried to follow up with the estimator to get clarification and asked for a call back. While multiple emails were exchanged from what seemed to be the corporate end, there was no actual human interaction, and my request for the estimator to call back failed. Because of that lack of follow-through, I ultimately decided to go with another vendor who was more responsive. AttiCare made a good first impression, but communication after the initial visit failed. I wouldn't proceed without speaking to the estimator. They lost a job due to that.

When my home trapping…read moreefforts were unsuccessful in capturing much of what had become a large infestation, I contacted four companies to inspect and provide quotes. One company provided a $17K quote excluding replacing the attic insulation and refused to do the project unless I paid for a concrete rat slab install. This was our first issue of this type after 20 years in the house and I did not see a need for a concrete rat slab. The other three companies were more price competitive. I thought Sean provided the best inspection presentation and discussion, explaining considerations, answering my questions and working on a plan for long-term resolution of the problem while managing to a reasonable cost. I selected Mr. Attic for the job and Sean and Rachel proved to be good communicators and project managers. We had them clean out and rodent proof our attic as well, even though there was no recent sign of rat activity there. There was significant damage to HVAC ducts under the house which Mr. Attic cleaned, repaired, and replaced as was needed, and we also had them replace the insulation in the attic. Our total project cost was one-third of the "slab required" company even with attic insulation added. The crew that did the work was professional in their actions while working throughout our house and did a great job clearing out all the old materials in the crawlspace and attic. They rodent proofed the attic, crawlspace, and even our garage to close off any points of entry. We believe their HVAC duct work and attic insulation has benefited our household climate control and reduced energy usage. We just hit the two year mark since the last rats were captured and there has not been a single reoccurrence. I was very pleased with the work done by Mr. Attic and have recommended their service many times to others experiencing rodent infestations.

I called Reactic Restoration on Friday, and Daniel Garza was able to inspect the damage that same day. Our house is older, so testing for asbestos was a standard part of the process; Daniel was able to get us in touch with an asbestos testing company that provides quick test results. That company got a tester to our house the next day (Saturday), and results were available Monday before noon. Fortunately, the tests showed that no asbestos was present. Daniel was able to assign someone to come to our house that same day, and set up dehumidifiers and plastic containment sheets with zipper doors, to seal the work zone, and to put down plastic to protect the carpet. On Tuesday, another team was able to remove the mold-affected wall materials, and wipe down the area with an excellent non-hazardous but effective disinfectant. They knew our preferred plumber was arriving at 1pm, and they were done with all work, including HEPA vacuuming and cleanup, before that time. The dehumidifiers are still set up, and will run for at least 48 hours. Daniel checked the area and the machines today (Wednesday), to make sure everything had been done correctly and that the dehumidifiers were working as intended. I am very happy with the service provided by Reactic Restoration. As Daniel kindly acknowledged on Friday, it's a shock to find mold in your house unexpectedly. It's been less than a week, and the mold is gone, and everything smells normal again! Everyone I encountered from Reactic was professional and kind. I hope we won't need their services again; but if we do, they will be our first call.
