Its been 6 months and I have not received a dollar of the $1,000 trade in promo. This store held my trade in phone till 10/14/23 before sending it in (was someone using my traded in phone for 6 weeks?). I have called the store dozens of times, have been there in person several times to no avail. Finally I got a manager and made him print out a receipt showing my phone was turned in., that was in November-Still 3 months after that not a dollar credited to my bill. I finally had to file a BBB complaint and contacted corporate, after 3 hrs on phone with corporate it was figured out that the untrained staff sent my phone back on 10/14/23 but did not associate my cell # with the serial number to the phone. This was MY job to track all this down for 6 months. This store is a disgrace, I want OUT of my contract with these people and will not stop until I am released. Even though there error was finally realized by me it could still take several billing periods to catch up on my bill. He was very professional, patient, and helpful with us and we had lots of questions! He helped guide me through a purchase of a new iPhone and helped my husband sync his apple watch to his iPhone. She got a notice on her phone and asked if he could explain it to her. He read the message and instead of simply telling her, he had to shame her by saying something like, well, it says it right here, doesn't it? His tone of voice clearly implicated 'can't you read?' When she asked more questions he finally gave her a full explanation but in an impatient and condescending way. He did the same to me. I was there to ask him to transfer the data to the new/used phone I purchased from Verizon online. I attempted to do the transfer myself, followed the instructions carefully, and then, after hours of watching the circle of death, realized something went wrong. He told me he could do it but it would cost $40. I was shocked because the techs at Verizon stores in the past always did simple fixes on their phones for free, good customer service. He said if he did that, he wouldn't make any money, and suggested I trade in my old phone and get a brand new one instead. He said never buy a used phone, even from Verizon. And then suggested I go on YouTube to figure it out, like duh. That being said, I will never enter the Palm City store again. Being friendly costs nothing, but treating people the way he treated both of us tells a story I want nothing to do with. I've been a Verizon customer for 12 years. Called the owner to schedule a repair under warranty and he then advised that he replaced the screen with a LCD, not OLED screen. Despite never disclosing this, he said I would have to deal with the extra heat and tough luck. When I tried to explain that I never would have wanted a LED screen, he started screening on the phone "Don't tell me how to run my business, I'll push this red button on my iPhone and hang up on you." Needless to say, I should have known better because this is a very low quality shop and you get what you pay for.
