Honestly, the food is delicious. The home fries were well done, just needed salt. The BEST had a perfectly runny egg and well done bacon. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back. It was a little busy when we got here, around 11:50am, but nothing too bad. We ordered our food and sat down, after about 45 minutes we were wondering where our food could be. I asked the server and she rudely responded with "the wait time is an hour". We were NEVER told that when we came in, and honestly it was a bit ridiculous due to the amount of people in there. Stopped at this small town gem on my way home from a morning hike in Letchworth and it blew my expectations out of the water! The store itself is wonderful warm and cozy, scattered with college students attempting to get some work done in these unprecedented times. They have a wide variety of food along with the classic coffeehouse pastries. I had a speciality latte - the Campfire latte which was topped with delicious melty marshmallows. The coffee was delicious and so were the bites of food I stole from my friends. Highly recommend this for a post-hike treat or just to catch up with friends. read more

This is one of my absolute favorite places in Geneseo! I'm kind of a picky eater but the stuff that they serve is phenomenal! When it's cold out I like to get their hot chocolate which is beyond tasty I usually can't ever finish a cup of hot chocolate but there's a completely gone within 10 minutes, haha. And in the summertime I really like to get their house made lemonade. One of my favorite sandwiches, which I also got today, is the chicken pesto! And then there's just a set up there's outdoor eating which is really nice especially on the warm days and on the inside atmosphere is very calm and has a Pinterest vibe, which I LOVE! My wife and I were in town for a wedding. With no Starbucks in sight (gasp!) we found a local college coffee place on the Main Street of this cute college town (SUNY Geneseo). Crickets was awesome -- we came twice. Friendly staff and good coffee (hot and cold). My wife ate a banana and chocolate chip brownie that was out of this world. You may not be able to get EVERYTHING you get at a Starbucks but that's really OK -- the coffee you get at Crickets will be delicious. read more

Longtime customer at the old location here. It's a little bizarre that a coffee shop runs out of coffee an hour before closing (self serve coffee gets lukewarm too). It's pretty low-cost to just make a fresh batch of coffee, they should probably always make sure there's hot coffee ready to go. Great atmosphere though! Tried Cricket's for the first time a few weeks ago, and have been back a couple times since. Very nice place, great atmosphere, and great food. It is definitely worth checking out. It is small, and can get a bit busy and crowded at lunch time, so going during an "off time" seems to be the best. read more

A really cute coffee shop on Main Street with a locals type of vibe. If I lived locally I would probably come here to do some studying or work. I stopped here for a quick coffee and breakfast. I ordered an everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese and a small coffee. The bagel was perfectly toasted and the cream cheese was really tasty. Don't be alarmed at the coloring of the cream cheese, though (it looks orange... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). The coffee I tried was the rainforest blend. I was disappointed, totally not my favorite and had a funky aftertaste. We had heard that this place was going to be offering wine and beer selections in the evening, so we decided to ask the owner. She said in a few weeks they should be adding that to the menu! I'll probably return here but would definitely opt for a different coffee flavor and maybe stay a while. read more

i've had at least 6 bad experiences here with the same blonde register girl and she has to fix her attitude. got a blt w chicken and turkey w a side of yogurt online went into pick it up got it w no turkey or tomato or yogurt so i went back to get it fixed and she told me that i should've specified what i wanted online which i did and then proceeded to tell me that they don't make the blt anymore and that she was "doing me a favor by even making it" but i ordered it on the literal website i also went in asking for my yogurt and granola since they never put it in the bag and they told me they don't have any but didn't offer any other side in return which to me is j bad customer service. i get being young and in customer service and not knowing what to do when something's wrong but someone should teach her something about working w people. read more

Came here to see a favorite local band "Tough Old Bird". It was clean, comfortable, and the beverages were very good. I had a "creme brulatte" to start. I'd never had a latte like this. Came with a spoon to crack the sugared top. I'll definitely be ordering this one again. As the show was fairly long, I also tried a hot chocolate. It was very high quality and clearly made with real chocolate and not a packet of mix or bottle of syrup. Crowd was mostly college aged students, but that was what I expected. Overall a great atmosphere, with some interesting coffee house items on the menu. I'm anxious to try one of their breakfast sandwiches next time I'm here. read more
