Food Quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 First time visiting Crispy Cone and it was fantastic! The staff was very welcoming and the restaurant was clean. I loved all the choices to choose from and the cone came out super quick. Can't wait to come back!

I was excited to try this place, but unfortunately I was underwhelmed. The ice cream itself is fine, and I like that you can add different toppings and spreads, but it's pretty hard to eat and gets really messy. I didn't feel like it was worth it over all. I appreciate the fun and unique idea, but I won't go out of my way to come back.

My 1 and a half year old daughter loved this place! We got the specialty cone of the month which had Oreos on it. We got it spread with cookie butter, chocolate ice cream and topped with peanut butter cups and drizzled with cookie butter. It was fantastic. It was just super messy though. My cousin got some fruit one which was a cone fillies with strawberries. She enjoyed hers. We will be back for sure.

Crispy Cones offers a very customizable ice cream experience--choose from two types of cones (the original cinnamon sugar or rotating specialty flavor), a spread that lines the inside of the cone (strawberry jam, Nutella, and cookie butter were a few options), the soft serve ice cream flavor (vanilla, chocolate, twist, or weekly flavor), toppings (candy, fruit, etc.), and drizzle (caramel, Nutella, cookie butter, raspberry). The cones were yummy, though I wish there was more ice cream inside -- it feels like you eat all the ice cream before you get to the cone, and they you're eating the cone and spread all by itself at the end. The ice cream wasn't the best soft serve ever, but it's still a good treat overall. The service was fine, as I didn't wait more than a couple minutes after submitting my order to receive my custom cone. I wish there were napkins on all of the tables, rather than just at the water station, because these cones can get messy.

Very cool and tasty concept. We really enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. The prices were on par with prices as similar establishments. We're along way from the $1.20 I used to pay for a cone at Baskin Robbins when I was a kid and if my Grandpa were still around, he'd probably rant about how ice cream used to cost a nickel when he was a kid in the early 20th century. If he hadn't checked out over 30 years ago, I would really enjoy listening to his hot takes on Bidenomics. In any case, my only actual criticism is that I wish they used more premium ice cream. My chief complaint about Cold Stone is that they use mediocre ice cream propped up by excessive mix-ins and though the ice cream here isn't as low end as Cold Stone's, it would be cool if it were more at the level of Ben & Jerry's. That aside, I'll totally be back to try some of the other flavor combos.

Had dinner across the street and wanted something sweet, saw this place and wanted to check it out. It's wasn't too busy when we went. We placed our order on an iPad and the ice cream came out very quickly. Cone was not warm and a bit on the hard side, thought it would be more fluffy. Held on to the ice cream decently. Would definitely share this with 1 or 2 other people, pretty big size.

I got the plain cone with Nutella, and she got the cone with ice cream and biscotti. If you like your chimney cake soft and warm, then get the plain cone. So yummy! It's a fun trip, and my daughter said it was totally worth the drive down from Sandy.

Such a fun treat. It reminds me of a trip to Hungry where I tried it for the first time. I like the flavor combinations. The employees who helped us with our order were really friendly and the entire restaurant was spotless. It's just a great weekend treat!

We really wanted to like this place. It's a unique idea and something we were excited to try. The cone itself isn't bad, but you have to get through so much low quality soft serve to get to it that you are kind of over the whole experience before you get to the cone. I would suggest asking for half the ice cream, which is not good anyway, and just eating the cone with a little ice cream on the side. Giving them one star for the order process - I like the self ordering system and another star because the staff was friendly. The cones take FOREVER to make. We waited almost 30 minutes and there were only a few people ahead of us. At first, I thought they were just understaffed, but after 30 minute of observing their processes, it's pretty clear that this is just a time consuming task. It is not scalable, and if they are successful in attracting crowds, the wait is going to be a huge problem for them. I hope they are able to figure out a way to scale the operation and find a better soft-serve supplier. I may go back in a year if they are still around to see if they were able to pull it off.

We came in a Friday night and it was busy. The self order station wouldn't work for us so the employee came over and took our order. She was efficient and doing an excellent job but the only worker we ever saw there??? Could definitely use at least one other person on the shift. The cone itself was our favorite part! So fun to have this little bit of the Czech Republic here in Utah- definitely recommend for a different treat!

This spot is a little hidden since it's in a brand new building with the space next to it still under construction. We went around 8pm and it was a ghost town. There were two young employees working who we didn't interact much since we did self ordering. Small selection with some good options for different toppings and things. I'd definitely recommend the fruit option so you get a hot and fresh cone! The cone itself was delicious, and the fruit was fresh. The only reason I give 4 stars is because I've been fortunate enough to travel Eastern Europe where chimney cakes originate and for this price there you'd get something 4 time the size. These cones are small! Which is great for a light dessert, but the price just seems a little crazy. Otherwise I think it's a great spot

It's their grand opening, and there were so many people. The line went all the way outside. We got the ice cream cups for free and didn't try the cone. The ice cream itself was average. The vanilla and chocolate flavors are the soft-serve ice cream you can get at ayce restaurants. The mango special flavor was good, though! The cone is probably the selling point, but it's expensive ($7.69), so I didn't buy it. However, it looks amazing, and I might try it sometime. This place is clean, and there are people standing there with towels ready to clean up. Very friendly staff!

The food tastes really good. I love the cone in particular. The food tastes quality, which is unique for a soft serve approach. It is on the pricier side unless you just get the hot cone, which is super good too.

These cones are nasty. The soft serve is pretty decent, but you could go to so many other places and get just a soft served for cheaper.

An interesting concept that works. 3.8 stars, is that a thing? LOL…read more This location is pretty cool. Nice layout and the ambiance is relaxed and chill. (Gotta use "chill" and "cool" when talking about an ice cream place, right?) Just by the entrance and under the stair case is a comfy cubby with two or three high rise tables and chairs. A cozy place to eat your ice cream with a nice window view of the entryway and the street. Then there is the upstairs. You go up a long spiral staircase (there's a landing halfway up) to go to the upper room. Pretty cool. Good view of the Provo Temple across the street. Fun place to eat your ice cream. The employee was not only friendly but you could tell she enjoyed her job. She had fun every time she had to make the ice cream. She told you all about it, too. So on the to ice cream. I had a mix in from the menu, Key Lime pie. Lime-flavored ice cream with bits of cheesecake and something else. It was OK, but I bordered on not liking it. It didn't remind of Key lime pie. But the texture was dense. That's what they are proud of. This process does not stir air into the mixture so it is much more dense than regular ice cream. And not only that, you get a lot of it. The small size cup is really huge! I'm not a fan of the texture. I like a good creamy, smooth ice cream. And while it makes you feel like you are getting more for your money, while not bad, the experience is not a good as a creamy ice cream or gelato. It's ice cream. And it's dense. Very dense. Still Ice cream, though, but very dense. It's not bad. Just not my jam. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I thought it was also nice that they had dietary restriction friendly options for those who are keto, gluten free, or vegan. I actually ended up trying one of the sugar free options because the flavors sounded really yummy! I wasn't in the mood for a heavy loaded up cup, but those looked incredible too. I stopped by on a late Saturday afternoon and the space was pretty quiet and chill. The staff members were so incredibly kind and helpful when I was making my decision. They also made it really easy to transport back home. I ended up going with the sugar free butter toffee. This was the first time I've seen sf options at an ice cream shop and unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. For the most part my experience with sugar free options has been great, but this was completely devoid of any flavor. I'm almost wondering if the sf flavors are a gimmick to make you feel like you're choosing, when in actuality they just whip up cold milk. Part of the experience is they make the ice cream in front of you, but aside from adding a little stevia I'm not sure what all went into my ice cream. When I got home and tried a scoop it just tasted like whole milk. I was super disappointed because I got a large! I'm torn between giving the sf option another shot or just writing it off forever. It was my first time trying Sub Zero, so I'm sad this was my first impression. Besides the flavorless taste, the texture is fun and almost reminds me a little of dippin dots. Overall, torn on my decision to try this place again or not. There's so many good dessert options around, so I guess we'll see. I still think it's a place you should try at least once, but order the sf options at your own risk!
