I've been coming to this halal fried chicken spot consistently for over a year now--ever since the new management took over--and I can confidently say it's the BEST halal fried chicken in all of Orange County. At first, I was thrown off by some of the older negative reviews, but I quickly realized those were from before the new management. Since then, everything has been absolutely top-notch. The owner is incredibly sweet and goes above and beyond--he's even accommodated our late-night orders after closing, which speaks volumes about their commitment to customers. The chicken itself? Honestly, I'm surprised at how good their wings are. They were made to order, so they came out fresh and super crispy. On the other hand, the boneless wings were not the best. They were also made to order but the breading was weak and became soggy too fast. I wish they used the same batter as the bone in wings. The chicken was cooked well, though. They had some chicken in the warmers up front when I arrived if you want something quick, but I'm pretty sure they don't taste as good as the fresh ones (obviously). I got the sweet BBQ and the sweet and sour sauce, and didn't love either of them; they were just okay. Service was decent. I was told my order would take about 5 minutes, and didn't get my food until 15 minutes later. I was fine with that since it meant my chicken would be fresh. The store itself is just a small convenience store; chips, drinks and other snacks. It seems a little sketchy, especially after dark, but it's worth a visit if you want some halal wings! read more

Management changed recently, so beware. If you are expecting fried chicken as good as it used to be, you will be sorely disappointed. We used to get from this chicken place for a good 4-5 years, being very happy every time. Their chicken used to be fresh, crispy, and as good (or even better) than places like Popeyes. With my recent order, the chicken was burnt and it seemed like they re-used old oil to make it. It was as if our order came from a completely different fried chicken place, not the same one as what we were so used to for many years. Furthermore, if you do decide to make an order, do not do it online as the prices are much higher there. Call them instead. Really sad that this chicken place went downhill after the management change, especially with it being halal. We will not be going there again. read more

Another day, another halal restaurant being a disappointment. We just ordered the 8 piece family meal. Realized after leaving we did not receive our 4 biscuits with the order. I called the store and was told they have permanently taken the biscuits out of their meals due to complaints of poor quality about a month ago. Might have been nice to know beforehand. They make them fresh if you order a side. The chicken itself was a bit salty. And they were sitting there so not super fresh or anything. The corn was flavorless. I had to modify it after coming home to make it edible. Considering I can order halal KFC nearby, this place is a joke. I will pass. read more

Ordered in (#covid_19) with UberEats. Got the 8 piece Cajun chicken meal with mashed potatoes and gravy and 4 biscuits. Chicken was delicious, even after a 14 min drive to our home. Biscuits were good, I added honey as usual. Mashed potatoes are just ok, a lot like Popeyes or kfc. One star off since they ignored my request (made in 2 sections) to put the gravy on the side. 5 year old won't eat the gravy and as a result got no potatoes. I have no idea what happened since the last time I came here, but this is my favorite go-to place for fried chicken wings now. They no longer drench their sweet and sour wings in their sweet and sour sauce anymore. Instead they provide the sauce on the side, and I think maybe this has made the difference. Took off a star because their menu prices are off. We usually end up paying more than the menu price and we bring this up from time to time but the explanation doesn't really make sense sometimes. I prefer their fried chicken wings over their fried chicken. Not sure if it's the seasoning or the breading, but their fried chicken wings are so much better. They get their chicken supply twice a week. Once, they ran out of chicken wings during the first week of Ramadan so we got the fried chicken instead. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the chicken here is halal. When ordering, I recommend calling ahead. Their chicken takes a while to fry. KKC, keep up the great work on that krispy krunchy chicken. Great fried chicken and chicken tenders! It's located inside a convenience store so there's no seating but it's more of a pick up and eat in your car kind of food. We got the Krispy spicy friend chicke combo with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and the chicken tenders with the included sauce (tried both original and honey mustard and liked honey mustard better). Everything was delicious, tasted like KFC except not as oily. Best part is everything's halal! Definitely a great place to get your quick fried chicken fix! read more

Krispy Krunchy is with in a liquor store. Upon my arrival there was another person ordering their food. Few minutes later I start to order my food, I ordered 6 pieces combo. I was told 5 mins but we all know it's not 5 mins. I received my food, I thought my food was being prepared in the back but I got my food from their glass food warmer, staff was just waiting on my corn. Don't let the gas station location fool you, this chicken is very fresh, Halal, juicy, and properly seasoned to the bone (literally)! My husband and I called ahead (takes 20 mins) and ordered pickup take-out from here last year as well as today, The overall quality Of the chicken has greatly improved, the biscuits also have improved, we ordered a 12 piece mixed chicken, which comes with two large sides, we picked red beans and rice, mac & cheese, and also added small onion rings. We also got the krispy original, tangy mustard, and ranch sauces (mustard was our favorite). The red beans and rice were fresh and tasted flavorful , the onion rings were surprisingly very crunchy and they stayed crunchy even when they were cold, The onion rings were not soggy at all. The mac & cheese was OK, the noodles were soft and the cheese was average, a good complement to the overall crunchy chicken meal. Everything tasted homemade , chicken has a very light spice to it, really well seasoned, and I will definitely come back to order more food. We just finished eating our very yummy and flavorful fried chicken. As all other people mentioned below, you don't expect to get such a great food from a convenient store. Very fresh, juicy but well cooked, mild spicy but quite flavorful, crispy and crunchy coating/skin and on top of all pros it's Halal. I really recommend this place to all chicken meal lovers. False advertising: The flyer in the mail read that 8-pc dark-meat chicken-only was $7.99. $1 per piece is usually a good deal, so I went ahead to check it out. But when I arrived, it was $13.99! The lady said that the flyer was a coupon, but I found no such coupon with the barcode on it when I arrived home. She should have given me the lower price since I mentioned the flyer. I should have just left, but I reluctantly paid the higher price since she already took the chicken out (which come to think of it, shouldn't have been a problem to put back if I refused). It just feels wrong that I wasted $6, which I could've spent on a whole 8-piece rotisserie chicken at a grocery store. Oh, and the chicken was flavorless. ITotally hidden and totally random place. Without mailers or Yelp one would never find this place. Located in a convienant store off Lincoln and Gilbert in Anaheim. You can't miss it when you walk in. There is a mini fried chicken stand with everything inside a glass case. They had a special for $7.99 from a local mailer for 8 pieces of chicken, drums and thighs. A little disappointed they put everything in a bag verses one of those neat carry out boxes. Maybe they ran out of boxes. The chicken was good. Not really any complaints. Nice and crispy. But it was not the best chicken I've had. It is better than grocery store chicken like Gizelle said. Service is okay. You get to compete with the customers that drop in to buy their convienant store stuff. After ordering he took me over to the register but ended up helping people in that line first. They are open late. Not sure how late but late enough for a late night snack. It's no Popeye's but it's a lot better than any grocery store fried chicken. I won't compare it to Roscoe's or any sit-down fried chicken specialty places, however. Conveniently located inside a convenience store (hehe), I would have never thought to buy fried chicken here. Like I would never buy gas station sushi. But this chicken looks oh so crispy. Should I say Krispy. And they weren't kidding, it was Krunchy, too! I enjoyed how it was not overly-salty, nor was it too greasy. The batter has an oh-so-slightly spicy kick to it, it did say Cajun. I am very sensitive to spicy food, the rest of you might not notice though. The white meat was not dry either. My only gripe with regards to flavor, is that the flavor does not permeate through the skin, so the meat is fairly bland. The Korean lady who provided service was very pleasant to speak with. She did say they opened about 3 weeks ago. I was a little disappointed that they did not offer gravy, as I like my Southern style chicken with gravy . They do offer mashed potatoes with gravy, perhaps, I can order gravy next time (I forgot to ask). It's no Roscoe's gravy though. For us, the best part was that their whole chicken menu was Zabihah Halal. We placed the order through Yelp & picked it up way before the promised time. Apart from the pricing, I think that might be the only plus from my experience. Chicken Supreme Pizza was not good at all & fried chicken pieces were strictly just OK. They were too salty. Went here and got the big chicken tender sandwich and 5-piece wings. The chicken was surprisingly good quality, very tender and juicy. The sandwich had a generous piece of tender chicken, with creamy sauces and crunchy coleslaw. The only problem was that I asked for barbeque flavor for both the sandwich and the wings and they just gave me the plain variety. I also asked for honey butter biscuits and they said they didn't have any. The wait time was also a bit too long, it took roughly 20 minutes for my food to be made. The staff behind the counter was very nice and welcoming. I ordered 16 piece fried chicken and a few wings. The order took about 10 minutes, the staff says to order before hand on phone.
