We walked into this Wendy's at Garden Grove after leaving Disneyland, and I felt it is different from other locations -- super bright and inside spotlessly clean. We ordered two of the $5 biggie bag meals, which came with a burger (this location only had the beef and bacon burger option), a small fries, 4 chicken nuggets, and a drink. I only had the nuggets and drink, but my husband finished everything and was still hungry so we ended up ordering two extra chicken sandwiches at $2.79 each, bringing the total to $15.58 before tax. The chicken sandwich was about the size of my hand palm, with a piece of lettuce and chicken inside. It's understandable that one biggie bag isn't enough to fill you up. The pricing makes it seem like a good deal, but in reality, you would probably end up spending over $10 without even realizing it, which defeats the purpose of "budget fast food." Fast food in the U.S. just isn't what it used to be. Affordable meals are pretty much gone. The pineapple frosty was cool enough but yeah the burger having no extra difference was a let down. I always come here. It's about 2-3 miles from my house. When I do come here to eat it's either for lunch or dinner. Every time I come here for dinner or come late night for a meal, these guys always get my order wrong. I never go to the order menu to order, I order through the app. Since I have specific things I want and don't want on my food. I figured it was easier to just see a receipt/screen with my order on it rather than telling them through the speaker box and have them potentially get it wrong. Even when I order through the app, they get my specific order WRONG. H O W ? ! I order a cheeseburger with no sauce, tomato, or onion. I got sauce and onions on the burger. I order a chicken sandwich with no mayo and it ended up with mayo on it. Customer service here is a joke as well; I remember one time I ordered a physical key tag to get free frosties. I paid $3 plus tax. I ordered that and two meals, when I got there they told me they were out of those tags. So I told them, what now?? The lady told me to call Wendy's or their customer service line. Why do that when you can handle it here? I'm not calling a number for a $4 refund. Key tags through the app were still an option, why not offer that? A large frosty costs about that much, offer one of those? Many things could've been done to fix it. This location is not one of the renovated ones out there so the layout is a bit outdated. I stopped by for a quick snack and ordered the Jr. Cheeseburger ($1.79) and Baconator Fries ($3.19). Unfortunately, Wendy's doesn't have a dollar menu for a single item, but rather, has a $4 for 4 menu in which you have to order four selected items for $4. Jr. Cheeseburger- This consisted of a beef patty, cheese slice, cucumbers, and diced onions. It's your typical cheeseburger without any frills. Baconator Fries- This consisted of a tray of fries topped with cheese sauce, shredded cheese, and bacon bits. This was surprisingly good, especially the fries which were crispy. The shredded cheese was melting onto the fries, which adds the pulled cheese effect. The sauce tasted like nacho cheese and the bacon bits were slightly crispy. My gripe is that there is only one soda/water machine. To make matters worse, it is a Coca Cola Freestyle machine, which means you can customize your drink and/or choose different flavors. The issue with this is, customers tend to take at least a minute choosing their drinks, which holds up the line. read more

I thought he was over exaggerating when he complained about how bad the service here is but I guess I was wrong after reading all the reviews. Constant complainta we have are: -They keep getting the drinks wrong: How is that even possible? We have not just ordered the exact same drinks to prevent any further disappointments from ordering what we actually want to drink. -They can't seem to understand the difference between sizes: Got the wrong size of chili from what we ordered. We just learn to accept that we can't expect to have the food we crave and the order come out right every single time from this place. It's either one or the other. Conclusion: they need to train their staff better. I ordered a cookie as a treat and while driving to our destination, it was discovered that I had no straws for our drinks but they charged me for a cookie that was no where in any of the bags. I had a very upset 6 year old. Today, 9/1 I was buying a quick lunch for two young children on the way home from school. My order was completely messed up. Very first thing I ordered was a plain double hamburger with no cheese please. Plain. Nothing on it. The guy taking orders, who sounded miserable beyond all reason, asked if I wanted cheese on it. I said no. He said the only thing we have is the number one (Dave's burger?) and if I wanted cheese. I repeated myself that I wanted just a plain double hamburger. He charged me for cheese sauce on the side. $2.10 for cheese sauce that I did NOT want and did not get. I ordered 3 chicken nugget kids meals and asked what the largest nugget count was for a kids meal. The guy said 6 piece but it looks like it was charged for 4 piece instead. I get to the window to pay and confirm my order of a plain double hamburger with no cheese and three 6 piece chicken nugget kids meals and the guy (name tag said Luis) tells me there is no such thing as a 6 piece but they do have a 10 piece meal for the same price. Ok. How does it exist at the order box but not in the two ish minutes it takes for me to get to the window to pay? Fine. I will take the 10 piece meals then. Apparently the employees here don't like change. A female employee began to complain loudly about how I changed my order. Yes I could hear her. Short Hispanic lady. Suddenly a new male employee comes to the window and asks me if I wanted to cancel my order of 3 4-piece chicken nugget kids meals. I told him I was told while ordering that there was a 6 piece available and that's what I wanted but when I came to the window to pay, it didn't exist. He told me It did exist and asked if I wanted that. I said "yes! That's what I have wanted from the beginning!" Then the female employee complains again. I get it. It's frustrating. But if the guy taking orders which I assumed was Luis, knew the menu even remotely, this probably wouldn't have happened. Also Luis, you may want to cover up those hickies on your neck as they are quite distracting and honestly unattractive. Also try not to complain about the customer within earshot. It's not my fault your fellow employees can't get a simple order correct, like no cheese on a plain hamburger. As if that wasn't bad enough, they took a little too long with my credit card. I also had to wait nearly 5 additional minutes for my stupid soda. You already stole $2.10 from me for stupid unwanted cheese sauce for a plain hamburger, I wasn't driving away with out my soda.
