I've been wanting to try this spot, I did a pick up order so I'll keep it short and sweet. The cashier was friendly and she acknowledged me as soon as I walked in. The place needs some updating, but nothing looked disgusting. Food: I ordered the combo with a chicken tender and the sandwich and fries. Spice level: mild, don't judge me. The portion is great, the quality looked and tasted great and it was cooked very well; crispy but moist. What I was sadly disappointed with was the taste. Even though I didn't want too spicy, the chicken was overly covered with spice, what tasted like just paprika... and no salt. I couldn't even eat more than a few bites. Other than needing salt and having easy too much of the spice powder, the other components were pretty decent. Buns were crispy, slaw was good, fries were on point. Poor chicken brought this place down a star. Sad face. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the experience was terrible from start to finish. First, the bathroom was absolutely gross - dirty, poorly maintained, and honestly unacceptable for a restaurant. That alone set the tone. The tables were dirty, and there was dust everywhere, which made the whole space feel neglected and unhygienic. The food was severely under-seasoned, to the point where it tasted like it hadn't been seasoned at all. Everything came out bland and forgettable. While the front lady was nice, she clearly lacked a basic understanding of customer service. There were four people in our group, and when we asked for waters all around, we were given two waters. This seems like a small thing, but it reflects the overall lack of attentiveness and awareness. On top of all that, there was no music, the vibe was completely off, and the atmosphere felt mundane, dull, and not welcoming whatsoever. Visited on Saturday 4/11/26. The service was excellent. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the gentleman behind the cash register helped us navigate the menu. The food was delicious. The chicken was great quality and cooked perfectly. The fries were seasoned well. The mac and cheese was scrumptious. Not too salty. Something to note is the mac and cheese is not baked. I know some people prefer that but I am not particular about it myself. We will definitely be back! read more

This isn't my first time having hotbox chicken but I finally got a chance to review it. The chicken is juicy and crunchy. I ordered their Shosho loaded fries. This comes with fries (obviously) Mac and cheese, chicken (your choice of hot level) and it's topped with their signature sauce. I can't speak about the service at their restaurant but the service for delivery was great. Everything was packaged nicely. The only negative I have is they didn't include napkins or cutlery but that might have been on my end for not adding it to the instructions so it's not a big deal for me. I was thinking the fries might be soggy upon arrival but they were actually in pretty good shape. Even the ones that weren't super crispy was ok because when you take a bite, you can't distinguish between the mac and the fries but you still get the crunch from the chicken. We also ordered the combo #3 (as you can see in my pics) and it looked great as well. I can't speak about the ambiance because again, I wasn't at their restaurant. One of these days, I will visit and update my review to let you guys know if the quality took a hit via delivery or if it's still the same. 3.5 Stars // Honestly I thought this was some wing stop wings type place but this looks more like a small business Canes. Great service, decent(?) food and price... but I got combo 1 and the burgers were bigger than expected BUT the buns were cold like it was taken out of the fridge. Had been wanting to try this place for some time. Finally made it here. We had the chicken tenders with fries, they come with a wide variety of heat choices. The chicken tenders were large, juicy and cooked perfectly. No issues there. However. The spice flavoring could use a little improvement. They weren't bad at all, just not great. This would have given them 4 stars. However, the videos playing inside were not appropriate for people with children. They were pretty graphic. This isn't a dance club where you might expect these types of videos. That is the reason for the removal of one star, bringing the rating down to 3 stars. read more

Looks good but the loaded fries were so bland. It had thick cut fries that were soggy and it was loaded with sliced cabbages that did not do it justice. Even drenching in sauce didn't help this dish just made it more difficult to eat. The flavor was very bland and one note. Came here as it looked really good on the yelp reviews but was disappointed. By first glance everything looked very dry sadly and nothing like the pictures but still gave it a go. I got combo #3 which comes with a slider, tender and fries. The bread on the slider was cold, and did not taste warmed up at all, the chicken was hot but had no flavor and was pretty dry as it seemed like they just added seasoning to it. The buns are also way bigger than the tender. The tender I got tasted like it was reheated or refried so it was a bit stale and chewy. The fries were the best part but they were just okay. They also have a sauce but nothing special just tastes like thousand island. Despite the food, customer service was great, the girl who attended us (9/14 around 6pm) was very nice and brought us out our food. read more

If you're a fan of halal food and a fan of chicken, come check this place out to get some solid protein. I was feeling hungry and wanted something relatively healthy and found this spot on yelp. Both items I got (the sandwich) and the combo box tasted great. If I had to choose one I would prefer the sandwich mainly cause I felt it had more flavor than the combo box. Both items, the chicken tasted great. The combo box, however, I wish the portion was a bit bigger. But in my case, one item was not enough to fill me up. So if you have a big appetite,I suggest getting 2 items cause they do take a while to make, especially the sandwich. All in all, I would recommend this place to another person to check out. read more

This was my first time trying Hotbox out. I was searching for some chicken and fries and saw the reviews for this location. The young guy at the register was cool. Very clean and well maintained place. Now the food was very satisfying. I ordered the combo 3 and was enjoying every bite in addition the sauce that's given amped up the flavor. I will be return to them again to try some other combos that caught my attention. I do recommend them if you're looking for some good chicken and fries. read more

Habibi's Hot Chicken is decent--definitely better than Dave's, as I think most hot chicken places are. However, the chicken could use more flavor; nothing about it stands out enough to make me want to go back. Also, you have to pay extra for all the sauces unless you order a combo. Yet, this unassuming establishment has unexpectedly quickly proved itself exceptional. Arriving late at night after a long, foodless day, I ordered a few of the house favorites--and was met with nothing short of delight. The chicken was perfectly tender, seasoned with bold yet balanced heat. The macaroni, creamy and cooling, offered a welcome counterpoint to the spice. Also the service was second to none. I didn't know ppl still said my pleasure after a long day! Though I've yet to try their chicken sandwich, it now sits high on my must-try list. Hotbox may still be flying under the radar, but make no mistake: this is the kind of hole-in-the-wall that seasoned food lovers dream of discovering. Wish I could give it a zero. No idea what this places deal was but I'm fuming at the fact I spent $25 on such horrible food. I got the 6 peice tender box and where do i even begin. Not even breaded well just soggy plain chicken with spice thrown on it. Not in a flavorful way either, just flat out overwhelming spice. Sauce wasn't good either. I'm a customer service worker myself, so I don't take leaving negative reviews lightly. To start, the food was misleading. The pictures shown on the app looked nothing like what we were served, and even compared to the images available online, the presentation and quality didn't match expectations. The food itself was underwhelming -- the mac and cheese wasn't finished, and my friend ended up eating elsewhere afterward. The grilled chicken cheese fries had very dry chicken and crunchy vegetables; the fries were the only decent part of the dish. Unfortunately, the service experience was far worse than the food. After ordering, my friend used the restroom. The paper towel dispenser was extremely cheap and wouldn't dispense towels, so he couldn't dry his hands and avoided touching anything else. Because of that, the toilet wasn't flushed. As we were leaving, a security guard checked the restroom almost immediately, then chased us out toward our car and yelled for us to come back inside. At first, I genuinely thought we were being accused of stealing. Instead, the guard told my friend to go back and flush the toilet, saying it was "disrespectful." As someone who works in customer service, I found this completely inappropriate. Running after customers and demanding they clean up -- especially something unpleasant -- is not how situations like this should ever be handled. When I told them this experience made me not want to return, the guard simply walked away without acknowledging it. Between the misleading food, poor quality, and the extremely uncomfortable interaction with staff, I won't be returning. read more

Nice little hot chicken store in an unassuming strip mall. The store was not semi-spacious on the inside but had a large outdoor patio. The service was fast and prompt. We had a mix of the different offerings, the menu isn't overly expansive but if you're there then you just want hot chicken. The food was tasty, we had it at the 3rd level heat. Honestly, not too spicy at all, I probably would get one level higher next time. But the price point was reasonable, and I felt like I got my moneys worth. I would definitely return. read more

We got the combo 1, shosho fries and dynamite fries, and all was very good! The dynamite fries were our favorite. The coleslaw is really well done and with the chicken and seasoning was awesome texture and flavor was great! Chicken sandwiches were excellent as well and two sandwiches plus fries for 14 bucks isn't terrible especially with today's prices. Homeade ranch was awesome to. Will be back! read more

Had a bad experience with ordering over the phone. We placed an order over the phone for my coworkers and I on 2/07 at 11:21am and we were notified by the worker that it would take about 32 minutes until the order was ready for pickup. I send my coworker to pickup by 12. My coworker arrives and the order wasn't even started. The order took an extra 15-20 minutes to make. If you have an ordering system, please honor the scheduled pickup time. If that time can't be met, have something in place to make up for the mistake. I understand the mistakes do happen but there was no apology, no follow-up, or any compensation for our time. I don't expect much, but some accountability or some acknowledgment that they made a mistake would have been fair. Instead, I had to compensate my coworker for the extra time and all our scheduled breaks at the workplace were pushed back. Simply not worth our time, money, or respect. Never coming back to Hotbox chicken. read more

I ordered via DoorDash one morning and was pleased with my choices! I tried the Loaded Fries and Combo 1, and both were delicious. My favorite definitely has to be the Combo 1 (habibi sandwich). It was a good spice, and the coleslaw added a nice crunch and flavor that complemented the sandwich perfectly. While the loaded fries were tasty, I felt that the combination of items was a bit much for my liking. I ordered the "hot" spice level, which didn't seem too spicy for me, so I'm looking forward to trying the extra hot next time! read more

Family and I finished our day at Knotts Berry and we decided we wanted something different for dinner. The service of this restaurant was outstanding; kind and helpful staff. Ambiance is family friendly, calm and quiet. Food was amazing and fresh, except the fries which were a bit cold but nevertheless tasty as well! speaking from personal experience my boyfriend had one bite of the chicken & was left coughing so much due to the amount of powder put on the tender. it's not that it was bad in taste but overly seasoned with dry ingredients that could cause a far worse situation had my boyfriend started to panic. stayed calm and drank water he was fine but i would not come back :( read more

I've been to a lot of chicken sandwich places, a lot. This one truly is a notch above the rest. The menu has several amazing items that make it almost difficult to decide what to get cause it all looks good and prices are very reasonable, not overpriced like some of the places around. The chicken is so fresh and cooked to perfection, fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy and the very presentation of the food is beautiful. They have several different spice levels depending on what you like. The inside of the restrained is spacious with big beautiful windows surrounding the dining area. The owner was amazing, very kind and helped explain all our questions. He even offered to personally make me an espresso shot from the machine they had in back. I would highly recommend you try this place out. It's worth the trip. read more

I routinely pick up a catering order for my meal prep for the week, and everyone has been so helpful each time, but a special shout out to Emily that helped me figure out my exact order for what I need and has made it such an easy process for me weekly. I'm a very specific person too, so I'm really thankful they've been able to work with me each time. As part of this revamping process, TOGO'S migrated their rewards system to a different platform, and if you successfully migrated your account over, you get a $2 off reward that is valid for 2 weeks. My $2 off reward was going to expire in 2 days, and I was planning a quick trip to the area to visit a couple other businesses in the same intersection, both of which had offers that were going to expire the same day or the following day as well. I normally wouldn't go this far for a TOGO, but was definitely willing to make an exception this time around. This TOGO'S in Cypress is located on the southwest corner of Katella and Knott. The dining space inside is quite ample, much larger than the Long Beach location I must say! There was a large family sitting in the far corner on the left hand side, but towards the right, there was an employee, Logan, who was ready to assist me. As I was looking at the menu, I didn't like how the menu was kind of scrambled around. What do I mean by this? So I was intending to get a mini 3" sandwich to redeem my $2 off since percentage wise, that'd be really good savings there. The right side of the menu specifies the sandwiches that can be made miniature, but the sandwiches are denoted by their assigned numbers. The numbered sandwiches aren't in any particular order, so without Logan's help, I would have had to bounce back and forth between different sides of the menu to understand which sandwiches come in a 3" size, and for how much? Such a cumbersome way to present that part of the menu that I really wish TOGO'S would consider reformatting the menu for ease of readability. But I'm starting to digress. Logan did help me out by specifying the four mini sandwiches that I was initially looking at. I thought about the #3 Turkey and Cheddar, but once he told me the #20 was Albacore Tuna, I decided to go with that. Tuna sandwich for less than $4? Count me in! Logan asked me a couple questions: What type of bread, and would I like all the produce? Since I'm trying to get more whole grains and vegetables in my diet, I said whole wheat and yes, respectively, to his questions. However, Logan was trying pretty hard to sell me on a kids meal, which also comes with chips and a bottled water, despite me not being a kid, except maybe at heart lol. I did ask him how much a Kids Meal was, and he had to go to the register to look it up. It was a couple dollars more than a mini Albacore Tuna sandwich, but since I was planning to get food at a neighboring eatery, I passed on the kids meal and settled for the mini sandwich. While Logan was crafting my sandwich, he asked his co-worker, or maybe supervisor, Brian, to ring me up. After scanning my QR code for the migration offer, the $2 came off, no problem, and I paid. Shortly after I paid, Logan had my sandwich ready in a takeout bag. I asked for a water cup, and he gave me one, no problem as well. I took the sandwich and water cup to a table by the window to enjoy, but the first thing I noticed was a small piece of bread stuck to the outside of the wrapper?! Well, not so great presentation up front, but after unwrapping the sandwich, I found the #20 Albacore Tuna to be quite good! Unfortunately, it seemed Logan missed a few of the vegetables like the olives, jalapenos, and the cucumbers, which you can request in the TOGO'S app. Kind of disappointing, especially since he asked if I'd like all the vegetables before crafting my sandwich, but I suppose for those three in particular, you have to proactively ask? Nevertheless, I enjoyed the tuna in this sandwich, and there was still a good helping of vegetables in the sandwich otherwise. However, $5.75 for a mini is still kind of steep for such a small, but mighty, sandwich. Like I said earlier in the review, there are plenty of tables for customers to sit at, so unless an entire baseball team and their parents are there to celebrate a big W on the field, I doubt you'd see a full house in this TOGO'S. Overall, TOGO'S is still a good solid spot for sandwiches even if they're a little pricier than Jersey Mike's or Subway, but they do stuff the sandos with good quality ingredients! Also, despite the hard, but rather unsuccessful selling job, Logan was still a pretty cool employee to do business with.

Ambience was very clean and pretty empty (my kind of style) we were not in a hurry and dined in.
