I've been wanting to try this spot, I did a pick up order so I'll keep it short and sweet. The cashier was friendly and she acknowledged me as soon as I walked in. The place needs some updating, but nothing looked disgusting. Food: I ordered the combo with a chicken tender and the sandwich and fries. Spice level: mild, don't judge me. The portion is great, the quality looked and tasted great and it was cooked very well; crispy but moist. What I was sadly disappointed with was the taste. Even though I didn't want too spicy, the chicken was overly covered with spice, what tasted like just paprika... and no salt. I couldn't even eat more than a few bites. This isn't my first time having hotbox chicken but I finally got a chance to review it. The chicken is juicy and crunchy. I ordered their Shosho loaded fries. This comes with fries (obviously) Mac and cheese, chicken (your choice of hot level) and it's topped with their signature sauce. I can't speak about the service at their restaurant but the service for delivery was great. Everything was packaged nicely. The only negative I have is they didn't include napkins or cutlery but that might have been on my end for not adding it to the instructions so it's not a big deal for me. I was thinking the fries might be soggy upon arrival but they were actually in pretty good shape. Even the ones that weren't super crispy was ok because when you take a bite, you can't distinguish between the mac and the fries but you still get the crunch from the chicken. We also ordered the combo #3 (as you can see in my pics) and it looked great as well. I can't speak about the ambiance because again, I wasn't at their restaurant. One of these days, I will visit and update my review to let you guys know if the quality took a hit via delivery or if it's still the same. The chicken tenders were large, juicy and cooked perfectly. No issues there. However. The spice flavoring could use a little improvement. They weren't bad at all, just not great. This would have given them 4 stars. However, the videos playing inside were not appropriate for people with children. They were pretty graphic. Visited on Saturday 4/11/26. The service was excellent. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the gentleman behind the cash register helped us navigate the menu. The food was delicious. Even drenching in sauce didn't help this dish just made it more difficult to eat. The flavor was very bland and one note. Came here as it looked really good on the yelp reviews but was disappointed. By first glance everything looked very dry sadly and nothing like the pictures but still gave it a go. I got combo #3 which comes with a slider, tender and fries. The bread on the slider was cold, and did not taste warmed up at all, the chicken was hot but had no flavor and was pretty dry as it seemed like they just added seasoning to it. The buns are also way bigger than the tender. The tender I got tasted like it was reheated or refried so it was a bit stale and chewy. The fries were the best part but they were just okay. They also have a sauce but nothing special just tastes like thousand island. Both items I got (the sandwich) and the combo box tasted great. If I had to choose one I would prefer the sandwich mainly cause I felt it had more flavor than the combo box. Both items, the chicken tasted great. The combo box, however, I wish the portion was a bit bigger. But in my case, one item was not enough to fill me up. So if you have a big appetite,I suggest getting 2 items cause they do take a while to make, especially the sandwich. Habibi's Hot Chicken is decent--definitely better than Dave's, as I think most hot chicken places are. Arriving late at night after a long, foodless day, I ordered a few of the house favorites--and was met with nothing short of delight. The chicken was perfectly tender, seasoned with bold yet balanced heat. The macaroni, creamy and cooling, offered a welcome counterpoint to the spice. Also the service was second to none. I didn't know ppl still said my pleasure after a long day! Though I've yet to try their chicken sandwich, it now sits high on my must-try list. I'm a customer service worker myself, so I don't take leaving negative reviews lightly. To start, the food was misleading. The pictures shown on the app looked nothing like what we were served, and even compared to the images available online, the presentation and quality didn't match expectations. The food itself was underwhelming -- the mac and cheese wasn't finished, and my friend ended up eating elsewhere afterward. The grilled chicken cheese fries had very dry chicken and crunchy vegetables; the fries were the only decent part of the dish. Unfortunately, the service experience was far worse than the food. After ordering, my friend used the restroom. The paper towel dispenser was extremely cheap and wouldn't dispense towels, so he couldn't dry his hands and avoided touching anything else. Because of that, the toilet wasn't flushed. As we were leaving, a security guard checked the restroom almost immediately, then chased us out toward our car and yelled for us to come back inside. At first, I genuinely thought we were being accused of stealing. Instead, the guard told my friend to go back and flush the toilet, saying it was "disrespectful." As someone who works in customer service, I found this completely inappropriate. Running after customers and demanding they clean up -- especially something unpleasant -- is not how situations like this should ever be handled. When I told them this experience made me not want to return, the guard simply walked away without acknowledging it.
