This is the BEST donut shop in San Diego. I promise you. There hasn't been a single donut here I haven't tried and liked. They sell out fast so come early! Service is 20/10. Nothing beats the employees here. It's family run and they hook everyone up. I will continue to be a life long customer here because it's so rare to find a spot that's GOOD and has quality service!

5 stars for customer service! I stopped by this cute and quaint shop on a Thursday morning. It's very tiny, but welcoming. I got the chocolate bar, apple fritter and the friendly lady threw in free donut holes for my little one. So sweet! The donuts were delightful. I'd love to come back at opening to try them hot and fresh. Boba drinks, coffee, and other beverages are available for purchase as well. This gem is located in a plaza, next to Ralph's and it can get busy!

Officially my new donut shop. Donuts were perfection: fluffy, soft, and great taste. Sweetness level was fantastic and the apple fritter is the showstopper. Excellent customer service, felt like I was a regular and it was my first (and spontaneous) purchase.

Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Boba topped with Whip Cream and a breakfast Croissant with ham, turkey, sausage, bacon and cheese. So yummy...

I love coming here. They make me feel like a part of the family even though I'm just someone who comes here regularly. To me it's the best place for Donuts and Coffee. Place is always clean and you can actually sit down to eat if you want to. My go to for Donuts and breakfast Croissant...Crispy's is awesome. The owner's and employees here are Wonderful. I love them just as much as I love Julie when she owned it. If you want donuts come visit Crispy's Donuts on H St.

Nice family run doughnut shop. I had the old-fashioned maple bar. I was larger than most and tasted good. The bar cost me $1.75, which included a couple of doughnut holes. The shop, although small, offers a good variety of doughnuts. They also affer drip coffee and croissant breakfast sandwiches. The shop offers three tables inside and no outside seating. The service was super friendly.

I was in the area and noticed this place had amazing reviews, so I had to stop by and I'm so glad I did. This is now my go to donut spot! Their authentic, made daily donuts are perfectly fluffy with that crisp, sweet glaze. Absolutely to die for. The owner was incredibly welcoming. We experienced some of the best customer service today. Even my kids couldn't stop talking about how nice he was and are already asking to come back. This hidden gem, tucked next to Starbucks, is the perfect stop to pair with your morning coffee. Plus the parking lot is spacious, and easy to get in and out of. Highly recommend this place! If you're in the area, stop by and show your support! Authentic donut shops like this are rare, and I'd love for my kids to enjoy them the way I did growing up. Miss the memories... Sunday mornings with my dad, picking out our favorites. Let's help keep places like this around!

    Inside

If you're looking for a good, no-frills donut shop, this is it! Staff was really sweet and came over to give my kids free, donut holes while they were looking for their donuts of choice. We ended up getting a blueberry, buttermilk, glazed doughnut, which was delicious, as well as a donut holes. We got a mix of all three that were available - glazed, powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar. All for under five dollars! Well, I can't say the donut towels are my favorite ever, they are solid, good doughnuts. Donuts are always sweet, but these weren't overly sweet which I very much appreciated.

TooGoodToGo Surprise bag. Such a great deal for good donuts.
    Mel G.

It seems to be family owned and the female owner was friendly. I got the large TooGoodToGo surprise bag and it's a huge portion! Donuts are good, as any other donuts. I'll come back again if I'm in the area.

Good buttermilk (especially the blueberry one) and old fashion. Go early because they run out of the good stuff by 9am.

The lady that ran the shop gave me 4 more on the house cause they were closing up. She was so sweet. Just like those doughnuts. I knew when I had an event I'd be buying a bunch here to support her shop. So for my son's birthday he wanted droughts instead of cake. I ordered 2 dozen rainbow doughnuts. Although they were not ready when I arrived and had to come back later. The doughnuts were so cute and delicious. All my guests said they were the best doughnuts ever. I even had one. I never eat doughnuts. And I loved them so much. Fluffy, huge and yummy. Tx guys. You made my boys birthday extra sweet.

I ordered one glazed twist and one chocolate twist, but I didn't open the box until I got home and realized I had been given two chocolate twists instead. I also noticed the Long John had a noticeable thumb indentation in the icing, and the red velvet donut was about one-third smaller than the ones that were on display. It was my mistake for not checking the box before leaving, but it was too far of a drive to go back. One suggestion I would make is to leave the box open until the customer has a chance to verify the order before it's closed. That could help prevent simple mistakes like this. Overall, the donuts tasted good, but paying a little more attention to order accuracy and presentation would make for a much better first impression.

The donuts looked amazing! I decided today was the day that I tried them, too. Please do not let the dated exterior (I spotted an actual public phone! They have a small shared parking lot with Church's Chicken. It was easy to park in front of the business at 9am today. The gentleman behold the counter greeted me right away, and was very patient while I made my selections for a dozen donuts. I also decided to try their HUGE Jalapeno ham and cheese croissants. These donuts were fresh, fluffy, doughy and delicious. I tried the sugar, glazed, boston creme, maple bar, raspberry and strawberry filled donuts. Yes! They are all amazing. The croissant was also fabulous. Light, airy, flaky, buttery layers hid the jalapeno ham cheese filling in the middle. I didn't get too much jalapeno, but idc I loved the croissant anyway. I paid $29 for a dozen donuts and the two gigantic croissants. This place is old school- There were paper i. o.u's taped up beside the cash register...some had written the dates that they paid up for some items, so obviously this establishment has a loyal and trustworthy customer base and community relationship that is hard to find nowadays. He was the only one I knew of in San Diego doing maple bars as eclairs -I'm so sad that I haven't been able to find that anywhere else. Some honorable mentions were the donuts holes, the old fashions, and the crullers. The service was always polite, warm, and familial -this guy knew and remembered his customers, even if not by name. The reason I found out he sold it and retired was because he saw and recognized me walking the pier in IB :D He and his wife were always welcoming, like you were a family member visiting for a snack and a good chat. The place has generous seating available, always clean and never dirty or messy, and is in a prime business lot at the intersection of IB Blvd/Coronado Ave and 13th Street. I've only been back once since the place was sold and I wasn't really into the flavors offered at that time, plus they were no longer offering the maple eclairs. Not sure if they are now, but I'm sure their other donuts are good since they've got good reviews and were in the Reader last year. Go check them out!

The moment you walk through the door, the smell of fresh baked pan hits you and it is everything. The selection of pan dulce and bolillos had me feeling like I was back in Mexico City. I asked the lady at the register in Spanish if there was any chocolate pan de muerto and she completely ignored me. Like, didn't even look up. Just called someone from the back in Spanish, which, mija, I understood every word. The girl who came to help me was a little better but not much. She told me the chocolate pan de muerto was sold out, which fine, I get it, it was a holiday. But that's literally all you had to say. No smile, no "sorry we're out," nothing.
