    Cookies, conos, and strawberry bread!

This a traditional neighborhood Mexican bakery. Empanadas, conos with creme, cookies, pan dulces, and all kinds of wonderful treats. Went there with my work crew today and everyone was was so stoked walking out. Huge smiles and tasty treats. People behind the counter are so nice and sweet. Prices are super cheap, especially for the quality. My kids love these treats!

Half dozen. Cant go wrong with a jumbo apple fritter!

A cute little neighborhood Mexican donut shop at great prices. This bakery is small but they have a great variety from classic donuts to Mexican sweet breads, plain to stuffed with sweet cream. I was greeted by a sweet Mexican woman. A half dozen is about $5.50 and about $9 for a dozen. You definitely get a bang for your buck, as the donuts themselves are pretty big. This place has a little bit of everything, perfect to fulfill your sweet tooth.

Live close by to this bakery and happy we did! They had donuts and pan dulce made right then and there. Service was amazing the lady helped us right away. The environment reminds me when I go to Tijuana with my family I love it

I'd have to say that when we got to this place I was really skeptical because it was this run-down looking store and the selection was really dismal. They really didn't have a lot of stuff so I just chose 3 items. Well, 2 items really and the man suggested the cheese danish. 3 items for $2, what a bargain! The baked goods made it home and we just tried it after eating dinner. MAN! Even though they'd been sitting here for a good portion of the day, they were tasty! I really liked the cheese danish even though they could've omitted the glaze. I just peeled the glaze off and it was just delicious!! The other two items: one looked like a scone with raisins and the other was your typical looking thing which is round and looks like Dutch crunch bread on top -- which I found out is pan dulce DUH! Both were rather good even though I'm sure they would've tasted far better had I eaten them the minute I bought them. I still didn't find my savory bread with queso and jalapeno here. The man said they don't have that sort of thing. Panchitas makes them but I was too late. I'm so craving those right now!

    Variety of sweets!

Lots of donuts and good Mexican pastries to choose from. I had a number of filled pastries, bread pudding bread, and an apple fritter. Enjoyed the pastries, nicely filled. I especially enjoyed the pineapple filled. The apple fritter wasn't greasy, and the apples tasted fresh. Bread pudding was tasty and moist. Will go back!

Baby shower cake made exactly how I wanted it 24 hours before needed. Thank you!!!!

Very inexpensive baked goods with lots of flavor. The owner told me he bought off a Caucasian older man and kept some uses some of his recipes. The bake goods are that of Mexican influence "pan dulce", donuts, and danishes. Good variety and tasty. I think they sell tamales but haven't tried them. Street parking only.

If you've had tostilocos you know these don't even come close to how they should be prepared

Then the strawberry pistachio croissant was so fluffy and soft like the cinnamon loaf bread and the kouign amann is apparently one of their most popular breads. The blueberry almond financier was rly moist inside, rly good and outside was crisp. The cinnamon bun was actually soft and flaky biting into it. Possibly my favorite one. However for the chocolate croissant, I tasted most of the croissant, not much chocolate. There was already a line forming. The line was a good signal that the hype was accurate. Tom and we're my 12th and the line moves really fast. We were in the door with 5 minutes of the bakery opening. We kept it low key and only got 6 pastries and a black coffee. The winning selections in order of favorites: Peach + Vanilla Tile, Tomato + Cheese Tile, Kouign Amann, Ham + Cheese Croissant, Blueberry + Peach Scone and Strawberry + Pistachio Croissant. I didn't love the texture of the strawberries which I remember from a cookie I had here. All were still warm and scrumptious! It was hard not to get one of each but I didn't want to be greedy on the first trip. Staff were friendly. The whole bakery smelled heavenly. It was filled with merchandise in every corner. Wish they had a few tables to enjoy there. We walked them back to the hotel and enjoyed them poolside.

We used to come visit here when we come to San Diego. The other thing that got to me was that the men's restroom was out of service so they did not announce it or anything but the women's bathroom was to be used by both genders but it was crowded so a bit uncomfortable. Service wise we got our deserts and the deserts are still very delicious. We were a larger party and they were able to accommodate and get all of our orders correctly.
