Small place with a huge sign that says "donuts"... Across SWC. Anyways.... Came here Sunday morning and was immediately greeted by what looks to be a husband/wife team. They are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and ready to help!.... At 0800, people were already lined up and coming in and out! I noticed that they knew several people by name (awesome).... Anyways... They have a decent selection of donuts (along with beverages and some other snack foods)... They don't get too fancy with their donuts, nothing trendy or hipster here.. but they definitely have the classics with the classic frosting (glazed, maple, chocolate).... Many of them are sized pretty big too!... I ordered 3 doz , telling them it was my first time, and the lovely lady adds several more donuts to our box for free!.... Their donuts are airy and light. Of course they're sweet, but definitely not as sweet as Krispy Kreme... The chocolate glaze hardened enough on the top, but still moist underneath, so you know it's super fresh. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied.... I only deducted a bit Bc they accept cash only... So I had to walk around the corner to the grocery store for cash. Sigh!... read more

Pretty tasty donuts. A good neighborhood donut shop. Nothing fancy but thats not what we were looking for. I will say that they had one of the best buttermilk bars I have had in a long time. For me that is one of the yardsticks of a good donut shops and theirs hit all the notes. Buttermilk taste throughout, moist in the center (so many places try to remedy dry buttermilk bars by drenching them in glaze. Theirs doesn't need it.) We will be back! read more

The sweet little lady helped us, and was patient as the kids made their choices. We bought the dozen for $10.95. Startling little family owned donut shop located across the street from Southwestern college. They accept cash!!! No credit cards. The donuts here are made fresh daily. Donuts are good here. Average. They are not overly sweet and are the perfect portion size. Prices are realistic. The older gentlemen that works here is so nice and pleasant. The ham & cheese croissant is decent. I've been here a handful of times and haven't been terribly impressed with the donuts or service, but they're usually decent in a pinch (prior to yesterday, it'd be a 3 star rating). Yesterday is the last time here for me. I was craving donuts and happened to stop into the Starbucks next door to pick up a mobile order. I figured I would just pop in to grab a couple. Like I said... good in a pinch, right? Not today, folks. I didn't see anyone when I walked in. Figured maybe they were just in the back for a second. So I thought I'd look over the donuts to decide what I wanted before they came back out. Then I heard a voice from behind the counter asking me what I wanted. A little old lady was sitting on a small stool on the floor watching something on her phone. She got up, came over and asked me again what I wanted, but I wasn't quite ready. She wasn't happy about that, given the eye roll I got. As nice as I was to her, she wouldn't so much as crack a smile. I guess she didn't like me taking her away from her precious phone time. She had WAY too much attitude for the short time I was there. I picked out two quickly to get out of her hair, paid and left. In hindsight, I wish I'd just left without buying anything. The donuts, like her personality, were stale. There are better donuts with MUCH better people behind the counter in the area. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere, anywhere else, for your donut fix. read more

Bar none the best donuts I have ever had. The fritters, maple and chocolate bars, old fashioned, ALL flawless. I will say they are SO rich and real I can't eat more than one or two at a time, but that's a nice perk for my waistline! I already had my coffee next door (it's the establishment with the green umbrellas) but I needed something sweet so I stepped in and there was a sweet lady behind the counter happy with a smile that could melt your heart. 5 - stars for service and everything all of sudden looked so good. 5 - stars for the price 5 - stars for the selection I will be honest I have not tried the other offerings but I bet with that it will be delicious with such love and care used making them. I was looking up the menu board and I saw donut holes for a buck and I half for dozen. I was sold. This is a mom and pops operation that I will be sure to be back for more. Last time I come here. I walk in around 1pm on a Sunday, teenage son glued to his phone at one of the tables, takes a good minute or two, to even look up when he does he he slowly walks behind the counter, looks at me and doesn't say a word,every gesture is slow and unprofessional, as it seems I'm taking him away from social media long story short, very rude customer service, no custard filled donuts in stock, most donuts were dry/ old batch, and a dozen came out to $11 As I paid I noticed an older Asian lady behind the counter UNDERNEATH THE CAPPUCCINO MACHINE watching a show in her little nicely cabinet placed laptop/tv ... at first I thought maybe she was working on something but no, she was sitting on a very low stool watching tv.. I can see the son's a chip off the old block. I'm all for supporting small businesses and was shocked since yelp had such good reviews but now I have no problem supporting corporate chains such as Krispy Kreme, at least there I'll know I'm getting some bomb donuts everytime... read more

Dear Mama, I apologize. All these years when you asked me to get crispy donuts, I always thought that you always meant Krispy Kremes. Thought that it was just your inner fobness coming out. But your favorite son was wrong all these years. For that, I apologize. Crispy's, which is located a couple of blocks from my parent's house, is my parent's favorite spot to get a dozen donuts. The donuts are so fresh and still warm every time I get them. When I think of Crispy's Donuts, I now think of Ronald's from Las Vegas. Yes, they're that good. They're bigger, fresh, warm, and their name Crispy's is fitting for them. Yum yum...they're crispy crunchy as well. When I use to go visit my parents, they'd request for some Crispy Donuts. I'd make a pit stop at Krispy Kreme and always wondered why they would barely touch them. Well, all these years later realized why. They love me some CRISPY'S DONUTS. TIP: -$8 for a dozen -Enjoy a single donut and Starbucks next door -Busy in the AM, but slows around 10 AM. -Ask for a fresh batch. At Crispy's , they will sometimes do that for you. One morning I came in before heading out to work because I needed coffee... They are located next door to Starbucks but I came here instead since a donut sounded like a good combination with coffee! Ok Donut Shop. Customer Service depends on which time of the day you go. Later in the day I think they pretty much clocked out and just watching tv. This was my first time coming here, and I absolutely fell in love. I used to go to Krispy Kreme because it's closer and I'm more familiar with it, but I decided to give crispy's a try anyways. I regret not coming here earlier. It's cheaper than Krispy Kreme too! My favorite donut is the maple bar/long john but they were all out so I haven't gotten a chance to try it yet. However, the glazed donut twist is PERFECTION. it's soft and fluffy, and it's not super sweet and sugary icing coated like most places. (It's way more messy though, I would like to add. I walked in and one of the employees is just sitting down on his computer and waited for about 1 min before someone else showed up. This guy doesn't seem like he likes or cares about his job at all. I asked if he had anymore of a specific donut and he just shrugged and said, "I don't know". Didn't seem very clean either. If you don't like your job go somewhere else. Horrible customer service. The cream cheese croissant is delicious because it's not overly sweet and their plain one is HUGE. I have not tried their coffee but truthfully I haven't had one bad bakery item here, and I've tried many donuts and their donut holes, as well!
