Upon deciding on a TexMex restaurant conveniently located for all of our friends to meet at, we chose this Lewisville location to enjoy our Saturday dinner. Super easy to find, with lots of free parking, and a huge, outdoor patio (for warmer weather outdoor dining), I sensed this would be a good place to dine, and boy was I right. Upon entering this establishment, the decor was warm and inviting. Our server Fredy D. promptly greeted us and took our drink orders. Chips and super fresh tasting salsa arrived along with a black bean dip. I ordered the Mexican street corn and it was tasty! For our meals, I ordered the chimichanga with fajita chicken and my partner ordered the Chile relleno. Both plates tasted great and both were served piping hot. If you want to be waited on, DO NOT GO TO CHRISTINA'S! Absolutely the worst restaurant we have visited. We received our order before our drinks, 2 teas, no bar drinks. The manager brought our food at which time I requested our missing drinks. He was extremely RUDE and dismissive. His response, in a condescending manner, "I got it, ma'am". He spent the entire visit on his cell phone, not managing. The entire staff needs to be given training in customer service. The food is subpar at best. Went to try the happy hour specials, both drinks and food. I ordered their top shelf house margarita and a happy hour appetizer. The place was not busy and there were several servers standing around. It took forever to get my drink, I was almost finished with my appetizer when I got my drink. I ordered another happy hour appetizer and what I got was their entree version. BEST SALSA EVER. My family has been coming here 15+ years and though I've moved away since, I always make a point to come back for the delicious food when I'm in town. They recently introduced a bean dip along with their salsa, which is delicious, and their Burrito dinner (with sour cream sauce on top - a must!) is half of why I even come back. Christina's has been my favorite Mexican restaurant for many years. I went to the Lewisville restaurant yesterday. My favorite dish is the Carne Asada and Chile Relleno. It's now $25, was $17 when I started going there about 8 years ago. The steak is still great, but I was extremely unhappy with the "shrimp" relleno. I'm ok with the price, but the amount and size of shrimp in the chile is so disappointing. There may have been 2 or 3 cut up shrimp in this meal. You've also added a huge bed of rice under the chile, just to "prop it up" so it doesn't look so weak. Rice already comes with this meal. For the $25, I expected this meal to be as good as it always has been. I'm sad to say, I won't be frequenting this restaurant any longer. read more

Been to most locations of this restaurant and this by far was the least spectacular. We were seated on the patio which okay but not level so the chairs and tables all wobbled all over the place. Top shelf margarita's were strong and good. Chips and salsa were average. Salsa is more sweet than hot if that's what you like. The rice and beans were good, the relleno batter is not really the crispy that you would normally see. The fajitas were average. Being in the patio we waited longer for refills and chips than what we probably would have had inside. We like Cristina's but will likely steer clear of this one in the future. read more

I had eaten here via delivery door dash but decided to pop into the Lewisville location and I was not disappointed. Our server Raul is an ace , he was so nice, attentive, friendly. My go to guy whenever I visit. We had the lunch portion of beef and chicken fajitas which was still a lot of food but very fresh, great cuts of meats, flour tortillas were delicious and the chips and salsa were great asl fresh. Had the queso with ground beet was good. He also has the house top shelf margaritas which were good considering they are premade in large batches. I had to leave a review. The star of the show was the steak fajitas, which were absolutely INSANE. The steak was clearly marinated with care - there's a depth to the flavor that suggests a well-thought-out balance of spices and citrus. It was tender, perfectly cooked, and paired beautifully with caramelized onions and green peppers. The tortillas deserve special mention as well. It's rare to find tortillas that feel this authentic--soft, slightly chewy, and with a distinct homemade quality that's hard to come by these days. They added an extra layer of enjoyment to every bite. The refried beans were crazy too. Rich, smooth, and buttery, they complemented the meal without overpowering it. The search for great traditional tex mex chile con carne cheese enchiladas in the Irving area continues. Cristina's version is very bland. It took a sprinkle of salt and a small pile of pickled jalapenos to bolster it up to "ok". I've had a lot of enchiladas, and am pretty sure I've never had to salt a plate of them before. Credit on the refried beans and rice, they're both classic tex mex versions. Same blandness for the queso - it's fine, just not much flavor or any heat. We gave a good look at the menu and knew what we wanted. We put our orders in. The food came out extremely quickly and the presentation was great. The beef Nachos I ordered looked great, having said that they tasted good but the flavor got old pretty quickly after a couple nachos. There were a total of 12 nachos on the plate, which was plenty of food. The person I was with ordered the brisket quesadillas and I tried them, they were very tasty, but soaked in juices which was fine but just wasn't appealing. Do not waste your time trying to order from these bunch of fly by night idiots that have zero respect for customer service. I ordered fajitas through Uber eats. The Tostitos did not arrive with order. Hard to eat a fajitas without Tostitos. I called the store to say they left part of order off. I was instantly put on the defense dealing with the more than arrogant person who instantly started blaming everyone but his store. Unless serous health code violations are done the delivery driver is not the one responsible for preparation or packing of this product. The store continued to blame Uber Eats without listening to the fact it was their fault. After contacting UberEats I got a refund from the fajitas. Now back to the store. The person answering the phone said 100% of problem was UberEats. This tells me that UberEats drivers are in the kitchens preparing the orders. In todays market with pandemic memories not to far behind us. This means unauthorized people are in and out and over your food being prepared. ( I did not assume this at all, this is what the person on the phone told me no one of his store's employees were responsible for putting everything in the bags.) I ask someone from the health department to start supervise investigations of cleanliness and other safety things that the phone clerk blamed on UberEats. Until then I recommend staying away from this restaurant. I do not feel that safe or sanitary eating a partial order that as far as I know or told my problem is with UberEats. This is a clear health code violation. Sadly the phone clerk took zero responsibility for the order. It was all UberEats problem. This store is evident not doing as advertised by being basically sanitary having zero control over trying to keep others that are not qualified from preparation of food. I called the restaurant 3 different times to try to come to a reasonable resolution. Every time I asked the phone guy was that the way they handle customer complaints. I asked the phone clerk (Lucas) is this the kind of review he wanted on yelp, I got another smart ass response of basically the state could careless . UberEats did give me a refund. Yea I left only the tip on this order. The rest of it went in trash. I DO NOT FEEL safe eating dishes that no one can tell me who or where prepared! If Mr. Lucas's statements are true ---- for the safety of everyone please let the Health Department in Carrollton know this place is not up to current health code standards. New to the area and used to good Mexican food in SoCal, I dipped into Cristina's one day for a late lunch just a mile or less on the way home. The waiter brought a basket of chips and salsa, de rigueur and took my drink order. He was very friendly - like all Texans seem to be! When he returned with my drink, he was helpful in accommodating my allergies for my order. So I placed my order and opened my book to start reading. I had barely read the first page when my food arrived! Amazing! The refried beans were luscious with a hint of bacon. The on site prepared chips and taco shells were the thinnest I have had in a restaurant, with the perfect crunch. But the biggest surprise was that the nearly 4 inch long and 3 inch deep, paper-thin taco shell held together to the last bite - even with the generous fillings! I always love going to Christina's but I don't know if it was the chef or what but the food this last time was phenomenal! Like, BEST TACOS EVER, I had the shrimp tacos and the sauce was out of this world. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and so juicy. The tortilla was perfectly cooked and seasoned to match the shrimp amazingly. It's rare when something is so good you have to eat as slow as possible to savor it, for me anyway. We got sopapillas for dessert and the were perfect for sharing. So crisp and sweet, the honey they use with it was really good too! This Christina's staff is always super pleasant and attentive to the tables needs. Guiraul R. was our server this time and he was great! I'd recommend this place to anyone! read more
