Bad night. We took a table in the covered, heated patio room. It was really cold because the see- through tarps had nothing to connect to. My ribeye was not great but I ate it. My wife's prime rib was worse. She could get a couple of good bites out of it. My potatoes were room temp when they arrived, and refrigerator- cold at the end of a bad meal. Our server was polite. But not friendly. Or fast. The manager ( I think) was very nice. He offered something else for my wife but we were too cold to wait for it. He comp'd use a piece of Cheesecake. We ended up here after finding all other popular restaurants had incredibly long waits. This place had zero wait. Which often times speaks for itself. It's not that it was a *bad experience, but it was just okay. Kids food prices were the big perk, with hefty portions. As for adult entrees, the ribeye steak was disappointing. The cut was just OK, the flavor was OK, but overall it seemed like a replica of an outback steakhouse steak. Not great by any means. Went here for the 1st time on Saturday September 27th 2025 with my parents and aunt. My aunt suggested this place because I was craving a burger. We walked in, and a sign said that we can seat ourselves, so we did that. We arrived at around 4:30PM on a saturday. Some people were there, but it wasn't busy. We sat at a booth by the bar. They had lots of Tvs showing all different sports from baseball to football, to soccer. A server greeted us right away and gave us menus. They have game day specials, as well as Happy Hour every day specials. We all started with 4 waters. I ordered the Watermelon Mule, My aunt ordered a whisky, and my parents ordered titos with sprite. We started with chicken nachos and Fried Zuchini. Nachos were very good, as well as the Zuchini, although it was piping hot! For entrees I got the taproom burger with no cheese, My aunt got blue burger, my mom got the freedom burger, and my dad got the special surf burger with shrimp. Food came out in a timely manner. Burgers were cooked to order and very tasty and tender! Enjoyed them! Server also was pleasant and made sure to check on us constantly. food was delicous! Paid via credit card and left a cash tip. My girlfriend and I stopped in here on Sunday afternoon 6-7-2026. We were not very hungry & decided to order a "shareable". We decided to get the pretzel bites. ($14.95I) Not anywhere near $14.95 worth of pretzel. I wish I would have taken a picture of the dish . I don't know who this dish was suppose to be "shareable" with. The pretzel pieces didn't even cover the small oval dish. There was enough dipping sauce that we could have ordered at least 5 more orders of the pretzel bites to use up the sauce. It appeared to be one small pretzel cut into small pieces. The service was terrible. It took the bartender a while to serve us, even though the bar was empty. Getting a second drink was nearly an impossible. We are locals & do not frequent this establishment & after this experience we definitely won't in the future. Another couple came in & it was obvious they were regulars because even though the bartender was not behind the bar, a waitress was quick to serve them. Damn, sure wish she would've done that when we were waiting for our second or even our first drink. She even gave them silverware wrapped with a cloth napkin & placed their order. Amazing experience. All of the staff were so friendly from the moment we walked in the door. It's a sports bar, so if that is your thing, the ambiance is good too. We went for the special Restaurant Week menu and it did not disappoint. We had Bonfire Shrimp as an app and they were exceptional. Would go back just for them. My husband had the steak and I had Shrimp Alfredo, which I couldn't finish since the portions were so generous, so took half home for later. We finished with the Banana Foster's Cheesecake, my husband was worried it would be too small for two people, but OMG! Huge. We left very happy. This place was recommended by the concierge at the Marriott Ocean Watch Villas where we were staying, and it was terrific! We were hungry after our drive here, so comfort food is what we were looking for. Hubby ordered mild wings and fries, and I had a loaded baked potato with a Caesar salad. We were seated at a table away from the bar, but close enough to view it. Marissa came over to see what drinks we were ordering, and gave me excellent advice about two martinis I was considering. I ordered the strawberry shortcake martini based on the advice over the expresso martini, and am so glad I did - just delicious! Hubby had his favorite Yuengling on tap to enjoy. Our waitress Shay was helpful when we ordered, and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Our food arrived and was also delicious - I was really happy enjoying the loaded potato on a chilly night. We had such a lovely experience tonight at Liberty Taproom. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed--perfect for a beach evening with family. Our server, Dmitry, was absolutely fantastic: friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. He made us feel cared for without hovering, and the entire staff matched his energy--smiles all around and service that was both fast and thoughtful. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits (which he loved), and I had the dry rub sirloin--cooked just right and full of flavor. Everything came out quickly and exactly as we asked. We were looking for a restaurant that had more than fried food options, and this one hit the spot. Our server was the absolute sweetest. The managers (?) who stopped by the table were also very kind and friendly. The shrimp and grits were amazing - my husband was dipping anything he could in the tasso ham sauce - it was that good! His steak was perfect, and he also loved the grits. Both boys ordered hot dogs, and they liked them but they were pretty greasy so I had to dab them a bit with a napkin. I ordered the blueberry vodka lemonade - it was very sweet (server mentioned it was a little sweet, but it was definitely way sweeter). The outdoor bar area was nice - just a little loud. We go often to your restaurant and we also like to take advantage of the wonderful buy one get one that is offered in January and February. We came in with a large group last night and I have to tell you that the quality of the food was terrible. The meatloaf was dried out. The string beans were tasteless. My husband salmon was so small that I don't even know how it stayed together to put it on the Dish. He also felt the string beans were terrible, somebody had the prime rib. It was an edible you couldn't even cut through it. It was just a terrible experience. The waitress we had was lovely. Her name was Jaylin and she was right on the ball, but I have to tell you this is completely discouraged us from coming back. This is another of our favorite places to eat and also take some time out for a beer or cocktail. We were there twice in September....one was mostly watch an NFL game, knowing with all the TV's they have we would be able to watch it. We shared a dinner as we planned a dinner for later after the game and a show. They have always been courteous and accommodating I finding any game we were looking for. The food is also above average in a place where there are hundreds of options. Personally, I enjoy trying and then drinking beers that are local. I don't even try to remember their names as you can count on them not being there next time as they are constantly rotated. We had the Fish and chips. Jan. 14, 2026 My husband and I just had dinner at the Liberty Tap Room. The food was yummy - especially the grouper bites and the meatloaf. We enjoyed the atmosphere too. But, the best part of our experience was the wonderful staff who attended to us. The hostess and our waitress, Emily, were cordial and helpful. We had a tiny issue which was that we ordered asparagus, however, the kitchen had none left. Unbelievably, the assistant manager, Steve, had an employee run across the street to a store to purchase some fresh asparagus . The chef then cooked it and served it to us. My family and I rolled into Liberty Tap Room on a recent Thursday around 5:45pm. After a long road trip, we were parched and hungry and eager to try some cold brews. It was a beautiful afternoon and we opted to sit al fresco. They have a huge open-air dining area that is covered and cool during the heat of summer. We waited close to 10 minutes before our server finally came to greet us. When we asked if we could still partake of a happy hour round since we had to wait, he declined. So now we're at a baseline 4 stars. Not cool, bro. We went ahead and ordered food since we had plenty of time to decide. Drinks arrived first with one being in a glass with a huge crack down the side. We all scratched our heads about how both a bartender and server could have missed this detail. For food, hubs had the Bleu burger, little one had the kid's cheeseburger and I had the strawberry spinach salad. The kids burger was a good size, but the accompanying green beans (on both kids and hubs entrees) were too greasy. Hubby liked his Bleu burger as well. I enjoyed my salad. It had super fresh spinach and berries and the shrimp were a good size. The portion for price was good as well. Service, overall, was subpar. Off to a rocky start, with no apology for not accommodating our request. It also took eons to get boxes for our food and our check/receipt. I like their beer menu, but there are just too many restaurants in this area of Myrtle Beach to make me want to return. read more

Love, love, love this place!! Fun and relaxing. Four of us for dinner. Those having shrimp and grits and the salmon claimed they were very delicious. By far the very best were the ribs. Because I was last to arrive I totally forgot to mention I am gluten free! We were able to get our waiters attention. He assured me, no worries he would take care of me. My ribs came and they were cooked to perfection! But no gluten free Bbq sauce. The manager came over to apologize and asked what else he could bring me. We decided some coleslaw would be perfect with ribs. A few minutes later our waiter showed up with GF bbq sauce. They sent someone to a nearby grocery store just to get me bbq sauce. I cannot say I recommend this place. Of all the restaurants we visited on our trip to MB, this one was the least impressive. The food for our entire group was one-notch below average. Two of us ordered the She Crab soup, which arrived nearly room temperature and seemed to have been sitting out in a bowl for quite some time. None of our party enjoyed our meals, they were simply not good quality. What further set back this review and our experience: "Credit Card Surcharge: 3%." The atmosphere was lively but not too loud, my husband enjoyed the number of sports televisions! The food was absolutely incredible! My husband order the sirloin steak and it was cooked perfectly! My steak was a bit small, a bit tough and had some gristle to it. The coconut shrimp were good, though. My husband loved the mahi mahi. He loved the selection of beers, too. Service was good but could have been a bit more attentive. The place was empty. We both had sandwiches, a steak and cheese, and a chicken sandwich. Both came with fries. Well, the fries were fries. Nothing special. But the sandwiches were, well, tasteless. The au jus was just salty, brown water. The steak had zero flavor. My chicken sandwich was flavorless. It was just an unappealing, unappetizing meal. I don't think we'll back. The bill for two sandwiches and two teas was $48 including tip. Had an up charge for using a credit card. BTW, they mounted 4 big screen TVs together to make a large screen but the borders really mess up the viewing experience. read more

This is my family's second year coming here while on vacation. Last year was excellent. This year, not so much. The waiter didn't write our orders down which would have been impressive if he didn't forget/make mistakes once the order came out. At that point, just write it down so we don't have to keep correcting. I had the chicken club sandwich which was served on sliced bread (where else would that type of sandwich be served on sliced bread? Too heavy of a sandwich for sliced bread to hold up). The chicken was also very fatty so I couldn't eat much of it. My family had ordered mashed potatoes as their sides and noted it was too dry to eat. Two of them also got steak ordered medium and when they cut in, they were cooked well done, no pink inside. Lastly, we had to ask for new silverware since the ones provided to us still had food caked on them. The drinks and nachos were really good. This place is a great spot for watching sports on TV as they have multiple screens inside and out including two big projectors.
