Croqueteria is a super unique shop near Tarrytown, which features *wait for it* ....croquettes (a.k.a. croquettas)! ...and I can personally attest: They offer up some pretty tasty ones at that! Croqueteria has all the typical flavors you have known to grow and love (or possibly grew up with)--namely, ham and cheese, chicken, fish, and potato. Then there's the specialty ones: spinach and cheese, crab meat, black bean, and pumpkin (yes, for the fall time)! They change up their special croquettas often. Besides their namesake, Croqueteria also serves up other cuban delights--cuban sandwiches, ropa vieja, cuban sodas, etc. One final shout out to the staff! They were al super friendly and very helpful. Be sure to check Croqueteria if you are nearby!! Eat some for now and take even more home! You'll be glad you did.

What an absolute treat. We popped in here a couple of days ago on a whim, the wife needed to spend some amex money to get her airline points, and they made the list. So we walked over, and got ourselves two sandwiches. Both owners, or the owner and his mom where there and we had a lovely chat about NYC, trains, earthquakes and the joys of snow when we were kids. I got the pulled pork sand, and she got the Cuban, which may be their signature. Both were extremely tasty, and when I sent my brother the picture below he replied, why haven't you taken me here, so next time we will. They have a wide assortment of croquettes which we didn't try, but we are keen to next time. Overall, wonderful experience, people and food, and if you're in the area you should pop in.

Where's the Beef?? $16 for bread!

Steak sandwich without the steak! $16 for bread! I Was expecting a little more meat than that but they told me it's skirt steak and that's what you get.

Soda de piña y Cubano por supuesto

¡Ay dios mío! Croqueteria delivers on comida Cubana y más! My mom and I went and the service, atmosphere, food and location are excelente! We had a couple of croquetas and then ordered 6 more because they were soooo good. Also shared a Cuban sandwich... the bread and ingredients super fresh and pressed just right! Everything is clean and nearly decorated. As my mom and I are Cubanas, we really enjoyed a great treat to talk with the owners about nyc, the weather, and of course good cooking. There was a family visiting from Pennsylvania and we all joined in conversation... just an all around super time. Giving five stars but would give MORE if I could. I'll definitely be returning soon!

Nice little Cuban joint. Nothing fancy. Delicious food

Best cubanos around ! Authentic! Simple menu for a small joint. Four different sands and a handful of croquet flavors. Food is delicious! Friendly owners. Perfect size sands

I had lunch here yesterday with my husband and loved the croquetas. I grew up in Miami eating homemade ones all the time since my parents are both from Cuba. I live in Connecticut now and it was great to find this place while we were exploring Sleepy Hallow. I'll be back to try more of their food soon!

This is Cuban food your abuela - and in Annarella's case, her dear Mima - would make for you. (And many of the recipes are hers) Everything on their menu is good. Seriously, you can't go wrong: Mima's daily specials, empanadas, the De Todito Pollo chicken sandwich, Mima's croquetas, the oxtail sandwich, the Cuban sandwich & medianoche, the vaca frita fries (yes, if I lived closer, I'd be even chunkier for sure!) and one of my cravings, the Elena Ruz (a classic Cuban treat of turkey, cream cheese and strawberry jam - it just works!) Important to note: "Asi viene el sandwich meng!" Please don't ask for modifications on anything they make - just trust them and have the true experiencia cubana - they know what they're doing. :) It's a sweet, tiny spot with a cute counter to enjoy your feast. They also have great fruit batidos (shakes) - mango, fruta bomba (papaya) and mamey -- all delicious and made fresh.
