We're paying only $8 for a haircut, so we wouldn't compare with those $50 haircuts. The service was okay. They kept chatting in their language, I guess it's Vietnamese. At least, I think I would rather pay $8 here than paying $20 for some hair salons where their haircuts are not better. They also offered us a punch card where you can get a free haircut once you come here for 10 haircuts. Good deal, absolutely!

She's AMAZING. I've never met anybody who treats each one of her clients like they're family, and takes as much patience and care as she does with each one of them. She's known my family for I don't even know how many years now, and even though I only see her from time to time, it's always like catching up with an old friend - she's great! She does amazing work as well, so it's not just her personality that shines. The salon itself is small and cute - don't let the fact that it's in the middle of small strip mall drive you away. Their waiting lounge has really nice comfy chairs as well, which is perfect for people like me, who have to wait hours for their sister and stepdad to get their hair done...

I called ahead of time because I was looking for a quick place to get my hair trimmed before I headed towards traffic by my house. I told her that I'd be there within 15 mins and she said thats fine. When I arrived through the door 13 minutes after she called me to say she was going to be 10 minutes late. I said that was fine since I was already there not knowing she wasnt going to be there! (SOOO a side note: I love my hair! I am a mixed girl and I used to straighten it alot because I was insecure about it. I've learned the past few years to embrace my frizz and love it for all it has to offer.) The lady asked if I wanted a Brazilian blow out and I said no its okay. Then she said if I wanted to straighten it. I said no I like my hair how it is. She then continued with what she was going to do with the trim and right before I got up to go wash it, she said then we will straighten it. :( WTF in my head I was pretty frustrated she didn't even get to know me and what my wants were. I politely said no I don't want to straighten it I just want a trim. She washed it and I asked her to take as little off as she could because I'm trying to grow my hair out but I just need to trim it to get the split ends out. YES I knew my hair was kind of crooked and was longer on one side but I didn't care because once its all long enough, I will even it out. I just wanted to take a little off all around to help the split ends. She then continued through the whole hair cut talking about the Brazilian blow out and how it will make my hair better. I told her I was a single mother that was a new widow on my way home down south. She's trying to sell me an expensive service that takes about 2-3 hours?!?!? Its obvious shes isnt listening to what Im saying. She took off way more then I wanted JUST like in the other comments below. And she evened out my hair so now I don't even have one side longer which is something I wanted. She even tried to say how much better it looks. :( Isn't what the customer wants??? She pushed me so much she wanted me to take a picture of the Brazilian Blowout Brochure. I ended up telling her next time I cannot do this right now. If she only knew that if she just mentioned it once to me and took my NO the first time and spent more time getting to know me that I would have gladly come back and done the service with her. If I feel pushed its just making me rebel because I HATE the feeling of someone trying to make me buy something where they don't even know where I'm coming from. I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE COMING HERE if they want something simple done to their hair.

My scalp feels inflamed after leaving, but I'm told she needs to scrub that hard to get it all out. *shrug* The eyebrow wax, though, let me TELL you. This lady is the best. All that you want in a wax: not lava hot temperatured wax, quick, and an EXQUISITE shape. She instinctively knows how to bring out the best shape for your eyebrow, and she's literally done is 4 strokes or less. The quickest hands in the West!

He listened to what I said, took the photo I showed into consideration, and asked questions along the way. He asked where I part my hair and made sure that the length in front (and back, which was my biggest concern) was to my liking. I LOVE how he cut my hair because it's exactly what I wanted.
