Seems they've added their own twist to the state guidelines - proof of a negative test won't cut it at Crossfit Waipio. The box itself is deep and narrow and has all the equipment needed for a good Crossfit WOD but lacks space and athletes are pretty much breathing all over each other despite the delinearions (when has a line on the floor ever stopped air flow?) so the no mask when working out thing doesn't realy make sense unless you know you don't have and can't transmit covid (which only proof of a negative test would show). I would avoid if I really wanted to avoid catching covid.

This was our first CrossFit experience and we loved it. Pa 'ana and the entire class was so welcoming and encouraging. Their excitement about CrossFit motivated us to complete this new challenge. And it was challenging!!! We paired off with an experienced CrossFit'er which really helped make sure we were doing the moves correctly. The entire class started with a few team competitions which was an awesome warmup. Looking forward to attending again!! Mahalo!!

CrossFit Waipio is part of the CrossFit Oahu family. One membership to three locations; CrossFit Oahu and CrossFit Kailua. I love the option to go to any one of the three. I live central to all 3 locations, and Waipio is closest to my home. It is located down the street from Waipio Costco's and the Tony Autoplex is located over on the left side before hitting the cross street, Kolea. Parking is inside the lot. Currently, the area is fairly new and there isn't really any signs. To find them, they are literally on the front corner of Bldg 2. If you don't know what "CrossFit" is, look it up. Still confused? Best way to find out is to try it. Want to try? CrossFit Oahu has a great structure to get you started. Check out the Intro class, it is taste of a "Workout of the Day" (aka "WOD"). You'll get introduced to what CrossFit is about. It is offered on Tuesdays at 7pm and Saturdays at 10am at ALL three locations. It is also free, and unlimited. Everyone is at a different level of health and fitness, the workout is individual, to your own ability. So if you've heard that you have to be fit to start CrossFit, that's a myth. You won't be thrown in and expected to know what you're doing, the coaches will go over every movement, making sure you have the correct form. Your ability will only be challenged by yourself at your own pace. True story... I was going to the intro classes for months to work myself up to the Group Elements, and now I'm a regular member. The community is supportive, helping you reach your goals, even some you never thought you could achieve. The coaches and staff are dedicated to helping you reach your personal best. If you are thinking about it, I highly recommend to just stop by and check them out.

What can I say??! When you want the best for you, you have to find the place that fits YOU best! For me after many failed attempts at "getting healthy" I found these guys when they reached out with their 6 week challenge for the New Year 2019. The atmosphere is perfect for me!! You feel comfortable with a wide array of equipment and workouts that will push you to the edge without making you feel like you're left behind in the dust. The coaches all encourage you to do YOUR best with modifications for all and that truly makes the difference! For a woman who was once very fit and competitive in athletics it was a long road back and I thank coach Pa'ana Alapai and her crew for giving all of us a platform for each individual from newbies to CrossFit pros! Aloha.

From our initial inquiry, the level of professionalism and genuine care exhibited by your team truly set your establishment apart. Our exceptional experience began with a simple phone call. The following day, we were delighted to receive a detailed follow-up from Ms. Marie Fujii. Her comprehensive explanation of all available classes, coupled with her proactive text message providing the full schedule and thoughtfully highlighting those best suited for our daughter, was truly remarkable. It was Ms. Fujii's unparalleled dedication to client support and her clear expertise that decisively influenced our choice to entrust our daughter's training to UFC Waikele. This decision led us to the immense privilege of meeting Coach Gabriel and his wife, Felicia. Their profound passion for the art of Jiu Jitsu is truly infectious. In just a single session, they not only imparted critical techniques and strategic insights but also ignited a deeper level of confidence and understanding within our daughter. The depth of knowledge and practical experience she gained, fueled by their exceptional guidance, will undoubtedly be instrumental in her upcoming competition and future growth in the sport. We feel incredibly fortunate to have crossed paths with such inspiring mentors. Our daughter's appreciation for Coach Gabriel and Felicia's tutelage is immense, and we are equally grateful for the profound impact they've had. This newfound understanding is a cornerstone for her continued development in Jiu Jitsu. We wholeheartedly endorse UFC Waikele without reservation. While I could elaborate on countless specific moments of exceptional service, I believe the most compelling recommendation is to encourage others to experience firsthand the unparalleled commitment, expertise, and welcoming atmosphere fostered by staff members like Ms. Marie Fujii, Coach Gabriel, and Coach Felicia. They exceed expectations, creating an environment where athletes can truly thrive.

I've only been coming to bootcamp for a week and a half, but I already know it will change my life…read more Self-motivation is my greatest exercise enemy. That was my #1 reason for giving Egan's Fit Body Bootcamp a shot. (Thank you Kyle H. for the recommendation!...bee tee dubs, Kyle H. is a bootcamp ROCKSTAR & is starting to teach her own classes at their downtown location! What a BadA$$!!!) Bootcamp is awesome. Plain & simple. Here's why: + You're basically getting a personal training session every time you go. The classes are very small so you get a lot of one-on-one attention from your trainer. The trainers truly care about you, they learn your name right away, and they encourage you and push you to your limits in the best most energetic way possible! + Every workout is challenging for ALL fitness levels! I know, you must see that a lot. I used to go to group exercise classes that claimed they were "great for all fitness levels" but I didn't even break a sweat. At bootcamp, EVERYONE (including the buffest of men) sweats from beginning to end! Everyone is gasping for air & working really hard! All of the workouts can be tailored to your fitness level and can be modified, and your trainers are always more than happy to help you modify your workout. + Every workout is different, so your body will never get used to the same work out over and over and over. + No weights! I was a weight lifter...and I HATEDDDDD cardio with every fiber of my being! But bootcamp utilizes TRX bands, MMA skills, weighted balls, giant ropes, suspensions, giant rubber bands, sliders, and your own body weight to create a perfect and FUN mix of cardio and strength training. Walking up stairs no longer makes me wheeze. Anyone who knows me knows that's a HUGE accomplishment! + Everyone is friends. You think I'm kidding, but I'm not. Everyone takes the time to introduce themselves to you, learn your name, and encourage you throughout the workout. Some people will give you the kindest encouragement, others will generously dish out tough love ;) + Classes start at 5am. WHAT?! That's right. This early bird was STOKED to hear that! Not only can I finally utilize my early morning energy that no one appreciates (I'm not offended, my morning energy is really obnoxious), but I can get my daily workout over with by 6am. HALLELUJAH! + Nutrition, weight, and body fat analysis is included! I am weighing in every week and testing my body fat percentage. They also gave me an exercise & food journal. I have a 2 month goal. If I make it, I can continue on to a new goal. + Bootcamp costs more than your typical gym membership...but if you consider the intimate training, nutrition plans, weight and BF tracking, and INCREDIBLE support system...it's truly worth EVERY penny! (Plus, if you're like me...you'll want to go everyday to get your moneys worth!) ;) If you're thinking about joining Egan's Bootcamp, give it a shot, you get 1 week free!

I would even suggest a beach towel because the floor is padded for MMA training. Everyone seems to know each other really well. It's clear this is a close knit group. Mostly aunties were at this bootcamp, but boy they could kick my booty! If I was in a hunger games match, I would ally with them. We started with some stretching and balance moves before we moved on to the famous "box" plank. This was followed by a pushup circuit. I thought I was pretty strong in my pushups, but the padded floor forces you to focus on pushing up instead of back on the plyo pushups. You will be barefoot this entire time as well. One point for me for handling the one handed pushups woohoo! We spent the rest of the class partnered up. From box jumps to resistance band moves, you relied on your partner heavily throughout the remainder of the class. It really adds a sense of camaraderie among the students. At the end you clean up the mat because we sweat all over that place. It's such a different take on the bootcamp concept, but I will return for my "auntie" butt kicking next week.
