Cute place. They primarily serve straightforward breakfast food but always have some fun specials rotating too. Food is delicious and comes out quickly. Definitely some of my favorite sausage links in the area. Unfortunately it was difficult to get our server's attention and before you could mention all of the things you were looking for she had walked away. Our party was a set of silverware short and the server was all apologies and quickly addressed that. We had also hoped to ask for drink refills and hot sauce but did not get a chance. After our card was run, we discovered that there's a credit card fee. We had not seen it anywhere on the menu, bill, or table. Upon leaving we did see a small sign near the entrance but that can easily be missed in a small & busy entryway. I drive past this place regularly and have never had a chance to stop in. Very popular place however, as it's always busy. Straight forward but comprehensive breakfast menu options. I ordered the omelette here and it was good. A generous portion complete with a 3-egg omelette, crispy home fries and an English. Stopped in today (Sunday) for breakfast on a cold & rainy morning at 10.30 AM. We were warmly greeted by a polite young man who took our name and said that the wait wouldn't be long. There were about 8 folks waiting for tables in front of us. While we were waiting, after about 10 minutes, a harried waitress came by with menus and asked if we would like a high top table just next to the door. I declined and said that we would wait for a table away from the cold of the door. She snapped "Well, you're gonna have to KEEP WAITING!" as she stormed away. You know what? She was incorrect. We didn't keep waiting. We left and drove 10 minutes to Connie's Breakfast Restaurant in Hanson, and we had a wonderful morning meal. A big shout out of praise for Crossroads Cafe & Deli. Have been enjoying their breakfasts and mammoth sandwiches for years. Lunched there today with my son and we both took home half of our meals for dinner. Mine was turkey BLT wrap with a hefty side portion of their Greek pasta salad. His was the Plymouth County sandwich- roasted pulled turkey breast, homemade stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayo on their signature braided roll. Another fave of mine is the North End sandwich- boar's head prosciutto, Genoa salami, capicola, provolone, roasted peppers, lettuce, tomato and onion with balsamic on braided roll. Wow! What a find. An acquaintance told me about this Cafe and Deli. The Italian Wedding Soup and macaroni salad were home made and delicious. I had the NORTH RIVER sandwich. The Roast Beef (Boar's Head) was placed on a very large tasty braided roll with Vermont Cheddar, fresh horseradish sauce, lettuce, tomato and Bermuda Red onion and was absolutely scrumptious. My friends sandwich was on large grilled sourdough and was called TURKEY RACHEL. He loved it and like me he is a foodie. I told my wife about it when I got home and we will drive up there in a couple of weeks to try some more on the menu (We are an hour and ten away). The place it self look's homey and quaint BUT the food and the service is excellent! We talked with four of the staff after and complimented them on their work and you can tell they all love what they do. Thank you ladies! Nice work. PS - I've faced some controversy on yelp in New England before regarding a friends restaurant in my hometown. There are lots of trolls out there who may be writing bad reviews because they are in competition with these great restaurants or they don't like a staff member or owner. Perfect, low key breakfast place. A little out our way but we were in Hanover for errands and "needed" breakfast to help us through. First, friendly staff greeted us. Second, pleasant waitress brought us coffee and quickly took our order; eggs Benedict and eggs Blackstone. After a short wait, breakfast was served and exactly as ordered (I tend to be very specific, which sometimes earns me pushback or "the look", not here, business as usual and please the customer. Cute little place to get breakfast on a Sunday morning. Which better be all you want, because they ONLY have breakfast on Sunday... We discovered this when we arrived at 12:30 after a basketball tournament looking for lunch. We sat down anyway because there weren't a lot of local choices nearby and we were hungry. Service was friendly enough, minus the undercurrent that we were there so close to closing (at 1) and the busboy literally standing over us while he cleaned the same table beside us from the time that we ordered until we left. There can't be much varnish left on that table... I get it, you want to leave, let me eat in peace. The food was good, but average. I had Texas French toast, a grilled English muffin and bacon. My daughter had an omlette. The bacon was soggy, not crisp, but not terrible either. The French toast was bland, but syrup helped. My daughter liked her omlette. Prices were reasonable and food was good average. If it felt more hospitable it might have been a more enjoyable experience for all. Nothing special, but if they're open and you're hungry and it's more than an hour before they close and you only want breakfast, it's probably good enough. read more

I wanted to try this place for breakfast for long time... A couple years ago I use to order sandwiches for work meetings and they were always absolutely delicious and everyone loved them! I'm not sure what went wrong today. We decided to come to Crossroads for breakfast since we were staying in Hanover area. We chose to sit outside and the seating was great, the busy intersection did not bother thanks to the trees all around. First the waitress brought us coffee and carried plate with creams on top of one mug so it touched the coffee and made some mess, she did not bother to remove the plate from the mug and left it that way. The food we ordered just wasn't good. I wanted to order eggs Benedict with tomato, feta cheese and spinach that I typically do when I go out for breakfast. The waitress claimed that she knew exactly what I wanted despite of not having it on menu and why I didn't ask for Eggs Florentine right away. I repeated my order two more times to make sure I'll get what I wanted. Eggs Florentine that wasn't on the menu landed on our table after little bit of waiting. It did miss the tomato, eggs looked and tasted more soft boiled than poached and the frozen chopped spinach did not taste so good. The waitress showed up a few minutes later with saying "oh, they forgot the tomato, do you still want it?" I still wanted it and received two slices of tomato on extra plate a few minutes later. My boyfriend's egg and cheese bagel sandwich did not look very appetizing either. We also received extra glasses of water although we barely touched the ones we got originally with our coffees. We never got a straw for the water. We ate a little bit and left shortly, it was a big disappointment. read more

I have to say as a whole this place was a majorly pleasant surprise. I had the crispy chicken wrap (it was divine.) freshly pounded out breast's just breaded and fried moments before I ate it with ultra fresh greens, veggies and of course boars head cheddar. If I made that at home it MIGHT have been that good but having it whipped up fresh for me was just that much better. The man had their version of a gobbler and I swear it was like an entire fresh roasted turkey breast , a half a gallon of stuffing and homemade cranberry sauce on an entire scali bread roll. Enormous and delicious with , you guessed it - homemade gravy. Delightful to say the least. Easily 2-4 meals in one. Solid coffee and fierce looking breakfast lineup. Service was somewhat lacking some personality but not bad by any means. Her Plymouth County - think Thanksgiving leftovers on a strong yet squishy braided roll - spilled over with light and dark meat roast turkey, gobs of housemade stuffing and cranberry sauce. Had a bite, fell in love. Doesn't mean I can flirt a little with my stacks on stacks of thick sliced turkey breast, decent coleslaw, Swiss and Thousand Island dressing on sourdough. The Turkey Rachel (Department of Redundancy Department?) is a beast platter, griddled to a delightful golden brown, and served with your choice of fries or pasta salad. And before you go defaulting to fries, that pasta salad is tender penne tossed with olives, roasted reds, huge hunks of feta and a fragrant Greek vinaigrette. It's killer! As if that's not enough food, they throw in a monster pickle spear and charge me... nine dollars. A sandwich like this is in the city goes for $12-14 a la carte (except you Al's; we know you're cheaper). Seriously though, a steal for two meals. It feels like a dollified Boar's Head service counter with a fryer and a flat top should be closer to a four star max. But no, sir - Crossroads hits every nail square on the head. read more

Stopped by for breakfast on a weekday so it wasn't busy. The people that were in there were definitely regulars since the waitress kept yacking with them instead of paying attention to us. The food was ok - you can see the pictures I attached to get an idea. I didn't care for the homefries and if I don't like a places homefries, I won't bother going back. Their seats are really uncomfortable seats - they are wooden benches so it' a pain in the butt AND on the back. It looks modest from the outside; My Irish friend thought it looks like an Irish cottage sans the thatched roof. Cute. She ordered a turkey and bacon club sandwich.. bountiful, fresh.. we could have shared it. The sandwich's quarters surrounded a small mountain of homemade coleslaw -- excellent fresh slaw not drowning in mayonnaise. I had a solid grilled cheese sandwich, perfectly grilled, and a nice-sized garden salad that tasted really fresh even though nothing was in season yet (here in New England). The waitress happily agreed to steep ice tea for my friend. .In sum, we were hungry, heard about Crossroads from a nearby garden store salesperson and didn't expect much, but we were happily surprised. read more

UPDATE **I went back in 2013 for breakfast, the food was better this time. I had a restaurant.com coupon giving $10 off of $15. I was strategically ready to order, before even starting I gave my waitress the coupon and asked her to verify and make sure it would be fine with what I was ordering. I ordered a main dish and then a few sides to add to it to get to the $15 mark. The girl advised me the meal came with some sides already. I said that's fine as long as the coupon worked I didn't care. So flash forward to paying time, she told me I was short of the $15 minimum by like $1.70 and the coupon wouldn't work. So I said, ok let me grab a drink to go. When she returned I politely advised her "this is why I asked you prior to my order if everything would be ok with the coupon" She didn't seem to pleased. I took my four year old son out for a breakfast date and we were both excited to have time together & a yummy breakfast. First off the coffee was terrible which was not a good sign. I tried to make it better but finally just gave up. The waitress asked me about it so I told her it wasn't very good. I asked her if they had real maple syrup before ordering pancakes for my son. She said yes which was great since I think all breakfast places should have pure maple syrup. Things were looking up! I ordered the corned beef hash, eggs with home fries. The kids pancakes were in the shape of cows which was cute. I added syrup for my son & quickly figured out it was the fake stuff. He took two bites & said it was gross. My food did not look too good & as I took a bite I noticed a hair in it! The hash looked like the kind you get from a can & the home fries were just potatoes...no onions....tasteless. And it was $7! I spoke to the owner & he seemed annoyed I had a hair in my food! He said they did not have real maple syrup. He brought me out another plate of food & some honey for my son. My food was terrible & my son still said his pancakes were gross. When the bill came they charged me full price for all of it! I couldn't believe it. I brought it to the waitress's attention (she was very nice) and she spoke to the owner. He reduced it to half which I reluctantly paid. Not very good service. I will never go back. They need to use REAL food. If I wanted canned hash & fake maple syrup I would choose McDonalds. It's pretty bad when a four year old refuses to eat it.
