Three of my friends & I recently enjoyed a very pleasant meal at Crossroads Deli & Grill. It was the first time for all of us. We were greeted by the owner who was very welcoming and engaging. She thoroughly explained every dish and offered us samples of anything we were interested to try. We sat ourselves at a table in the back for a more private setting. There was a continued flow of customers including several carry out orders. We all agreed that our choices tasted great! The one disappointment we all experienced was having to use plasticware. It was a bit of a struggle cutting into the meat & wrap. The Deli also offers a variety of baked goodies to take home which we all purchased for ourselves. My pick was the homemade Baba Ganoush. The dishes made for the hot buffet are simply amazing. It includes various Beef Chicken, Lamb and multiple rice dishes; fresh vegetables and desserts. The staff is friendly and offer samples of each dish before ordering. The restaurant is located in a strip mall off Highway 27 in Sebring; so not ideal for a formal dinner - but worth every mile for a healthy, delicious lunch. Open for about seven months, the hype finally motivated me to swing down for an early lunch on a Sunday. This is a strange place in a good way! Half of the menu is a hodgepodge of American and assorted other ethnic foods and the other half is Mediterranean including a served buffet! I told you, strange! Arriving- If you can find Advent Hospital with its countless signs, these folks are directly across the street on Sun-N-Lake Blvd. They are a storefront in a small plaza with very little outside presence. You can park directly in front of it. Ambience- As you can see from my pics it is a very clean little place with just a few tables. Fountain drinks are serve-yourself. There is a large served buffet case which I'll talk more about later. I found my chair a bit uncomfortable. Maybe it was just me. You pay at the cash register when you leave. Customer Service- I was greeted immediately by what turned out to be the cook/chef. He was genuinely friendly and accommodating as I gave him my order. Shortly after I sat down, I met the owner. It turns out he runs the place with his wife. He was fantastic, welcoming and informative. My customer service experience was maybe seven stars! Pro Tip- If you are a first timer, they will happily explain how the whole place works. Food- You'll find a Hamburger, Fries, Hot Pastrami, Fried & Grilled Chicken etc. Baba Ghanoush, Falafel and Chicken Shawarma are on the menu. There are even Empanadas and Arepas! Mediterranean Buffet- This is a served buffet and it looks wonderful. My menu pics appear to indicate that the price is based on the time of day. This will be my next visit. On this visit I ordered the Hot Pastrami Combo with fries and a soft drink for $12.99. I didn't ask what would be on my sandwich. It came out in good time and was not what I expected! As you can se from my pic, my sandwich was on a pressed sub roll. It was piping hot and included cheese and sautéed onions. It was delicious but I expected a more traditional version. The fries were perfect. Overall, it was a great visit. For now, until I try the buffet, I'm going with four stars! read more

I came here for the first time with my family and the food is 5 stars. We tried many items from the buffet and ordered a variety of desserts. The restaurant is owned by 2 ladies (one from Jordan and one from Palestine) who are extremely welcoming. They will let you sample everything before you order as well. We stopped at this place on the way to Lake Placid. My husband wasn't sure by the outside, but we took a chance. The food was fresh and phenomenal! This place caught my eye when looking for new places to eat around Sebring. I checked out their website and menu online and thought - this is a change from the usual. So, today my wife and I gave it a try. So glad we did. We had the most friendly greeting upon entering and I told the server it was our first time. She explained all the dishes and offered us samples of whatever we wanted. We decided to each get a platter and decided to eat there. Since it is a buffet, you just take your plates to the small dining room they have. Nothing fancy, since it seems they do more take out than dine in. We had no complaints; everything was spotless. Now the food - OMG - the flavors and selections were outstanding and fresh. My wife got something different so we could sample each others food. The flavors were amazing. I can't explain it here, you just have to try it yourself, it's that good. Very hospitable people. The hot foods and salads are updated frequently, especially at mealtimes. The kitchen just keeps putting out new things to try. And try you will, as the staff seems happy to keep offering samples. As so much of the food was unfamiliar to this old Wauchula boy, this was very much appreciated. I found myself trying, and really liking, foods I never tried before. My wife is a vegetarian and really likes the falafel. My first couple of visits I stuck to the sandwiches, but since having a meal of lamb, couscous with lentils, stuffed grape leaves, kale salad, and a rice dish whose name I can;t remember, I definitely plan to expand my culinary horizons here.
