There are some cool finds here but I still find it very expensive for secondhand clothing. I found a nice polo shirt but it was snagged and they only offered 10% off. Plus my trade in didn't cover tax. So I was still owing $35 on a damaged shirt !!!!!!!! They wouldn't give more discount. Not sure how they would even resell it with a line on the front of the shirt with missing thread. I got it for now and will take the next few days to decide if I want to keep it. On top of that, I get home and noticed that one of the shirts I bought HAS A SECURITY TAG STILL ON IT!!!!!! Absolutely unacceptable. The people working there are very nice. But attention to detail is subpar unfortunately. I'm considering returning this item, not sure if it's worth it after all the trouble.... Also You barely get much for trading in. I always heard amazing things about crossroads but wow. I got only 4 items and each item was tagged $20 or less. So when I went to checkout I assumed the total would be around $80 or $85 MAX. Nope. Not sure HOW but my total came to $100.45. How? Genuinely how? The tags were tagged $20, but with four items (some not even being $20) the total came to $100. Go to goodwill, go to literally any other thrift store. It's a scam and the prices are insane. The customer service was also awful. read more

Staff was friendly. I was hoping to sell some high-end items my husband no longer wears due to weight loss and shoes I can no longer wear due to foot injury. I was offered less than $10 for a $700 Karl Lagerfeld coat my husband never wore. About $5 for a Michael Kors soft as butter leather vest and about $5 for a pair of Coach leather booties all in perfect condition & currently in style. I believe the cash offer for all three was about $26. I understand Santa Monica is slow these days & they likely have a lot of inventory they need to get rid of. Wish they had told me that when I called to ask what was selling & what they were over stocked on. No interest in my Patagonia booties, Ralph Lauren, Coach, Joan & David and Moro (handmade in Spain) high boots- all in excellent condition. No interest in graphic men's tee-shirts- Jimi Hendrix, Beatles, R Crumb, etc. No interest in men's Zegna jackets & sweaters. I used to be a clothes buyer so I know when clothes are hip, classic or not. At the basic $5 a pop price point they are offering sellers for hi-end designer items I can easily get a few bucks more at my own yard sale. DO NOT SELL YOUR CLOTHES HERE!! I brought in two trash bags worth of clothes, I was going to sell on Depop but was too lazy. These were my "thrift" clothes, all name brands and some only worn once. I had almost a full bag of new Princess Polly clothes, trendy matching sets, jeans, lululemon workout clothes the list goes on. I opted to leave my bags there for them to go through and signed off that they could donate what they didn't take. They also emailed me after I had dropped off 2 bags and indicated on email I only left them 1. They took 1 item, brand new shirt with tags ($120) and offered me $6.90. I'm fuming these people either have no taste or they scammed me and are selling the clothes without telling me. read more

They had a nice selection of clothes and generally good customer service. They did seem short staffed and that caused a wait for fitting rooms and checking out. I did not like that they have a 3% surcharge on all your purchases... So the hidden fees made me take away a star and I did ponder not purchasing my clothes from here, but they were really good finds. Starting July 1, 2024, if they're still charging this fee, customers should make a complaint with the CA Attorney General. read more

Long time customer- I'm no longer selling here but will continue to buy. Primary issue is that they absolutely need to reel in selling requirements. Today at 2:30 there were Fourteen people waiting to sell. The front looked ridiculous with peoples clothes in piles. You need to set a limit to how many items you take. It's just too much to have every person with their 4 giant ikea bags blocking the entrance. Staff is usually kind but the buys take forever because people bring in way too many items. LA crossroads such as Silverlake and Pasadena have 2 bag maximums. Please fix this. read more

She completed appropriate market pricing research and recommended a price that I was happy with in order to sell within a reasonable timeframe. She immediately displayed the product in the glass designer case, and it did sell for full price within 2 days! I have been a regular Crossroads enthusiast for a few years now...find many beautiful clothes at very fair prices at a fraction of what I would need to pay retail. In addition, I have brought in items and received either cash or store credit. This has been so helpful to me and really has put me in a great position to not have to pay for clothes very often. One of the best stores in Orange County I'm a regular here and always find the best stuff! They are constantly bringing in new merchandise, so it's best to check in every couple days to see what's new it's so much fun. Everyone who work's here is so helpful too and I love seeing everyone's unique style when I visit. If you live in the area I can't recommend checking this place out enough! Customer service is terrible.. the employees and team obviously have no idea what they are doing. I had a huge bag of winter items that they approved of when I went in back in November. They said to come back in December and that they would take my items in. I come back and they didn't take anything!! I waited almost an hour. I went back a few days later and guess what , they took 4 of the 6 times in. This time is was a different employee who took it in. What I'm trying to say is, they pick and choose what they want when they want is. Not deciding on the "sellers guide" but by there own tastes. They are also incredibly rude. Don't get me started on the manager either, ( dark hair, curvy figure woman) she is incredibly rude and ALWAYS has an attitude. She really should be training her staff on good customer service, but then again she barely knows how to treat customers. I went to pick up my money & they said they donated everything. It wasn't what they wanted. It was all clothing purchased in the last 12mos. In good shape. My first time visiting this location. Popped in to sell and they took me within 15 minutes. I was greeted by my buyer Rhyann, and I've never had such an elevated buying experience! Rhyann said she just recently became a buyer but boy was she knowledgeable! I didn't end up selling anything but I learned so much about crossroads' buying thought process and exactly why they weren't taking some pieces. Next to Rhyann, was Andres - who chimed in on my pieces and took the time to explain how they figure out that certain little things about a style (like rouching or fabric or cut) isn't going to sell - I am so impressed by how GOOD these buyers are - these are the kind of employees that will keep customers coming back, even if I didn't sell :) Oh and a big shoutout to the bubbly supervisor with the red hair - she was ON IT! I brought in 2 giant bags of stuff to sell.... only to leave with the same 2 bags!? When it was my turn to sell, the worker literally took LESS than 1 minute to look through all my stuff and said he wasn't going to buy anything because it's not in style or season. Well, what a waste of time... I noticed that a lot of other sellers got rejected as well due to the same reasons. I suggest checking their website for items they are currently buying to save your time! As for buying, they have a good selection of random clothes and shoes from designer or boutique brands. However, most are kinda overpriced! If you look around enough, you can find some half off tags deals. But Good luck finding stuff, because the store is an organized mess! Super nice here very good thrifted items. The only thing I don't appreciate every time I come here are the girls that need customer service training . They are very passively rude. Kind of makes you feel uncomfortable when you're checking out especially when you try to ask them to see stuff in the back, on the shelves . Frankie was interesting to be taken care of by.
