sometimes you want clothes that aren't new bc they have that worn in feel, look naturally distressed, bla blah blah, etc. came to Crossroads Trading looking for used or vintage-ish band T-shirts...out of luck there, but the store had a nice selection of hoodies and sweatshirts at fair prices. who doesn't need more hoodies?!? not me. over the last few months, was able to snag a few hooded items that have a nice worn look, unique in the sense that they aren't currently in every online or brick-n-mortar shop, and have that worn-in feel where it's not too soft but not threadbare either. the store is neatly organized, brightly lit, and clean. women's and men's sections filled with a variety of some legit vintage items to stuff that is much newer or clothing that is just a few years or months old. everything from t-shirts, shirts, jeans, pants, sneakers, shoes, and more is squeezed into racks and shelves organized well throughout the medium-sized space. sometimes, there's a line in the front but that basically people who are selling items to the store...but checkout is typically very quick. staff isn't chatty, but friendly enough. there aren't insane deals, but vintage-ish items are NOT priced insanely either. I've been to Crossroads several times and it has consistently provided solid thrifting options!! They have lots of cute styles, ranging from everyday comfy to street to vintage/glam. The store is well organized with their fancier pieces towards the front, then tops, then pants/shoes in the back. They have a second floor with other options and a good amount of well-lit fitting rooms! Prices are good, depending on the quality and style of your piece. I've found several affordable wedding guest dresses, pant suits, and jeans. I also had a good experience with selling. Sometimes the lines get long but the actual process is pretty quick. I signed myself up on the waitlist on their iPad. They text/yell out your name and review your clothes on the spot. For pay out, you can either get 50% store credit, 30% cash, or a mix of both. They obvi are looking for specific styles that sell, but was really kind in advising me to check out other Crossroads locations and other thrift stores. Went on a thrifting adventure across LES and this was one of the stops. Centrally located, and they had some good designer brands including BAPE, Supreme, Michael Kors but not as organized as the other Crossroads. The workers are doing their own thing and pretty loud talking to their co-workers. One of the workers forgot to remove the security tag and I had to return. My favorite thrift store in Manhattan! It makes me so happy that they organize the clothes by type and size. If you're looking for a medium sweater, you know exactly where to go. There are mirrors on the main floor; the change rooms are upstairs (not wheelchair accessible), as are the dresses and active wear. The staff are friendly and chatty, and they manage all of the colorful personalities that come through the door with grace and patience. Prices are clearly marked on tags and they're reasonable for the quality. You're not going to find falling apart clothing here; everything is good as new. You can also bring clothes to sell (I think they do by consignment, so you get partial payment until someone buys it, but I might be wrong). read more

A cashier named Saeed -- according to my receipt -- actually threw items at me after ringing them up. No folding. No handing over. He tossed them in my direction. They landed in a pile. This location is ok in terms of me finding things for my style but I helped my girlfriend find 3 pieces here she liked. One or two sales people on floor to help u if u need but you might not be able to spot them quickly. Decently clean, not bad and felt organized with not much or no cloths on the floor. read more

I have been a crossroads fan for a while, but will be shopping elsewhere after I just brought three big bags there and they didn't buy one thing. I completely understand inventory could get full or items could be out of seasonal, but even one $5 purchase would have appeased me or at least let me know they saw the effort I made spending 1 hr waiting/making the donation. Visited the store on Sunday Aug-25 in the morning, I came to sell brand new women's tops. A young girl looked at the few pieces I had and said "We don't buy women's clothes here, you should go somewhere else". She seemed inexperienced, disrespectful, rude, and had a HUGE attitude. I even wanted to buy a few things, but because of her being arrogant, I passed on spending money in this store. I had several positive experiences selling but not today! The 'expert' on style (wearing a plaid, fur lined aviator hat - a Glamour don't) condescended that my 90's Betsey Johnson wasn't vintage...really? From the 90's??? My almost brand new leather pants weren't acceptable because the 'legs were too narrow' uh, they're a size 5. The white satin sheath from the 80's (Patricia Fields) didn't pass his inspection either. I recommend buying the buyers fashion magazines so they can discern what is style and what is garbage, I will not be returning. read more

Great place for thrifting. Good range of prices and you can easily find some designer if you want it. I was happy with the Lululemon pants and UNIQLO wide jeans I got my first time here. Not that many shoe options but I don't typically care to spend time on finding thrifted shoes. They have a good variety of sweaters and jackets too for men. read more
