Only took 2 things which was a Ralph Lauren button down and a JCrew button down and gave me $13.50 for them which is fine. Didn't take any of my other Ralph Lauren or JCrew things. Also didn't take any of my boohooman, Zara, H&M, Nike, adidas, or under Armour things either. I think they focus on getting high end brands and trendier things which I get. By far my worst experience at a Crossroads. Went out of my way to try a new one. The one in Pasadena is full of designer and rare vintage. This one.... The girl with short curly hair went through three bags of mine. All name brand, 2 Vivienne Westwood dresses, and Dolce boots. They didn't take a single thing.... This confused me but I still looked around. Their designer rack was full of urban outfitters. Go to ANY of their other locations over this one! PLEASE train the staff on designer clothing. I got a super cute pair of RE/DONE jeans (usually $265 - $375) for $37.50! And they purchased 4 pairs of my shoes, which I got $35 of store credit for, so I only ended up paying the $2.50 + sales tax -- to me this was such a great deal! Sure I could have gotten more for my shoes if I had sold them myself, but to me that is such a hassle. So, I was very excited about it. The staff weren't enthusiastic, but they were friendly and chill. I was happy with their service. I was trying on jeans when they were finished going through my clothes/shoes, and they came to see if I was in the fitting room, and then told me to take my time and come to the front when I was ready. I also got my place in line via the app, so it was a very short wait for me once I got there, even though there was a line, I was next up! Which was also very nice. I had really high luxury bread items that I simply wasn't using, that were in season, and yet they told me that it would be "too difficult for them to sell." I went in to sell some items on a weekday, not a busy hour. I was told to put my name on the list and wait until I was called. And wait I did... for almost 2 hours. When my name was finally called I was informed that they would not buy from me as I am not 18, even though I had a presented valid driver's license/ID and was turning 18 in a few weeks. It says nowhere in the store or on their website that they only buy from those above 18 but the worker still refused to accommodate me, even as I had waited in their store for literal hours due to their overabundance of sellers as well as just overall slow employees. Additionally, they overprice their items and their shelves tend to be unorganized and not properly stocked according to size, making it frustrating to find items. Waist of time and money, I would recommend going to buffalo exchange or Goodwill for a better experience. read more

Pretty cool for second hand designer clothing but could be better.. It's in a great location. There's a large womens section and a smaller mens section. Disappointed in the selection of shorts for women. But there's racks and racks of dresses. Brands range from Urban Outfitters to Madewell and Free People to Brandy Melville. We spent hours here just combing through the racks. Unfortunately you can only take six items at a time into the fitting rooms so I must have made five trips. This is a nuisance because I had to get dressed every time I wanted to switch out. Costing extra time. In addition, the fitting rooms are pretty nasty. They need a serious remodel. I did NOT want to be barefoot in there but since I wore sandal I really had no choice. Another tick against them was the lack of a bathroom. I had to cross two streets to get to California Pizza Kitchen to use theirs (it was also up stairs) They customer service was subpar. Not helpful but not in the way. They are just kinda there. I guess there's not much to ask for help anyways. One thing I did like was their choice in music. It was funky and jazz and old. Not the brain grating pop we hear 25/8. Another pro is the pricing. everything I picked up was somewhere between $12-23 to purchase. This is a steal for some of the stuff they have! So my review is: fix your fitting rooms! I've been a loyal customer of Crossroads since high school, but never actually donated clothes. I'm moving and thought it'd be perfect to give some clothes away. I came in today at 11:30 with 6 bags and immediately, the staff was visibly annoyed. I felt bad but didn't see that there was any limit to how much I could bring so I continued. After 45 minutes I brought my bags up to the counter and the woman was exceedingly rude - I offered to help go through the clothes and she replied with a short "no." When asked if she would call me when they're done she looked at me as if I was the dumbest person alive and asked my phone number, and didn't say anything after I gave it to her. Fine, whatever. Its busy and I'm sure they're stressed. I head to starbucks to use the restroom and 40 minutes later I get a call to come back. I return to hear that none of my clothes are usable. Seriously? I had 2 pairs of jeans with tags still on, a brand new Clippers jersey, and other designer items. The woman (young, white, brown hair) seemed so happy to see me distressed. From the way she had been treating me since I got in, I am convinced that she didn't even look through the bags! I was appalled and almost in tears by the smirk on her face. I spent all afternoon at my local Crossroads only to be completely disrespected by the vindictive woman at the counter. If it was a problem that I brought in so many bags, why not say that?!? I would have happily helped go through them or taken some away. This experience was insane and enough for me to NEVER return to crossroads again. By far the best crossroads trading in the company. The staff are literally some of the nicest people you'll meet. They are kind and always willing to get things down for me or let me see a consignment piece. They price items fairly for both the seller and the buyer. I read some reviews complaining about pricing as a seller, but you have to understand your items are not going to be priced near what you paid in retail. Thats the entire premise of the store. So don't go in here with a mindset that you'll be able to recoup what you foolishly spent at Neiman Marcus. That's what makes crossroads trading a great place to find deals. I specifically travel to this crossroads because it's my absolute favorite. I can't wait to go back again and pick up some great finds. Great staff!!! read more

Stumbled upon this shop this weekend. Really loved the selection of the clothes and the prices. In particular, I was looking at the jeans and they had many quality brands like Levi's, Lucky Brand, and Gap. I ended up buying a Madewell denim skirt for $15 and Black Orchid jeans for $24, a fraction of the price they would've cost in a department store! The store also had a large selection of dresses and shorts and many of the pieces were an additional 50% when I went. The only complaint I had is that I wish the shoes were more organized so it would be easier to shop and some of the clothes racks were so full it was hard to look at the pieces without knocking things down. read more

I've sold clothes at a different location crossroads before and they took most of my things, but I tried this location out and they only took like 4 items bad barely gave me $45. I was really surprised because I had a lot of brands they take; tiger mist, princess polly and more non fast fashion items with tags!!! but they seemed like they barely even looked at my stuff it was all bagged the same and she was finished with like 2 big bags of stuff in less than 20 min. Extremely rude people who work here. They treat their customers like an inconvenience, even making fun of items people bring in to sell. With so many amazing options for selling and consigning items, this is not a place I would suggest. They don't do textile recycling, don't donate items they don't purchase. They also don't have a parking lot so you're stuck looking for street parking. I'd suggest selling to The Real Real (they pay WAY higher commissions), or ThredUp which pays you tiny commissions but basically everything sells so it ends up being way more. And both those options send you a lot to donate so you don't have to carry your items anywhere. Bottom line - remember that your customers are the reason you get a paycheck, and you're not "better than" anyone else. read more

As far as selections go, I always hit the jackpot shopping at this location! Whoever is doing all the buying is doing such a great job curating aesthetically chic and fabulous pieces!! It's always so clean at this crossroads. The people that work there are always attentive with organizing the racks! And greets customers as they come in and out. I've never encountered an issue with exchanges as well. They are all so polite about it too! Considering we can't try on pieces at the store. Would I come back this store? ABSOLUTELY! Great location on San Carlos I think. Amazing staff. When I moved back down to LA, I realized that there are more locations all over the city and SF has a few too I think. I go to the one in Studio City. After they got rid of few bitchy sales girls, the place is nice again. There were few there who were acting like this was Rodeo Drive and I was Julia Roberts. I found a cute dress. It was $22. I checked the tag. It was from Shein. Something told me to check the original price of the dress. I went to Shein's website and found out it's $9 brand new. Facts: A used clothing store is ripping people off by up-charging. Honestly, I'd let this go if the staff was nice. I did spend a ridiculous amount of money there ,,, it would have been nice if they helped a stranded girl charge up up so she can use Lyft. I made an appointment for in person drop off, which they said they couldn't find the appointment, then decided to make an exception... then she while she was looking at my stuff... this terrible manager asks me to step away or go outside. Why? That's creepy. Only to ask me back up to the window 45 seconds later. Telling me they didn't want to buy anything. Fine. Then I said keep the items as a donation... and she replied that she couldn't take them... that I would have to come back again to do a "drop off". Why????? Completely illogical and a complete waste of time. This place is beyond awful. People are starving and need clothes... and this is how they treat people wanting to donate items?????? As most of us can attest, times are tough. My college degree is gaining dust as my unemployed resume is getting more and more outdated. This means I grovel to pay bills and the roof above my head. Luckily, some barely worn, in-season, designer clothing (not my size or style though); fell upon my lap. The light bulb went off: sell it for cash! Off I went to Crossroads to peddle my goods. Most LA residents have either experienced firsthand or know someone who has a story relating to how employees at such establishments as Crossroads and Buffalo Exchange were rude, snotty, and acted like their clothing was off a bum's back. In fact, my own boyfriend has had such an experience (he felt very degraded) and one merely has to look at these reviews. This means that I was a bit worried, skeptical, and already cringing before I stepped into Crossroads. This location of Crossroads is well-sized, airy, bright, and has high ceilings stocked with dresses, shoes, purses, jeans, a small jewelry counter, men's clothing (not as prominent), etc. Items are categorized per clothing type but not so much per size so good luck looking (although this is the fun in thrifting!). Organization is slightly lacking and will fail an OCD test as shoes are thrown around and everything looks a bit junky. Not to mention, consistency is an issue as some clothing is brand new with original tags while others look over-worn and only good enough to be sold in Goodwill. Clearly, the buying of goods (and what is worth reselling) depends on the employee you come across. So how did my reselling go? I got lucky and had a rather kind female employee take a look at my offerings. She wasn't rude and I didn't have the Crossroads Horror Story stabbing my eyes out. Although the process took some time (be prepared to bring coins for meters); she accepted all of my clothes with a decent amount of cash offered. Crossroads also offers store credit which is higher than the cash. This is the tricky part though: they offer more store credit because most people accept it in order to buy more clothes on the spot but their prices are quite high. It's a gimmick (take the cash). Basically, don't expect thrift store prices because they are priced higher than Ross and equal to Forever 21. Granted, you CAN get some designer duds but I still think it is a bit high priced. The girl helping me was kind enough to instantly offer me an application and desperately mentioned that they are hiring four girls. This is the opposite of most retail employees whom fear so much for the loss of their own hours, that they admit to shredding applications before they even reach managers. Long story short, Crossroads is a hit or miss sort of experience in terms of both the buying and selling process and certainly depends on many factors. Regardless, it can be enjoyable for thrift/vintage lovers and of course the hipsters looking for the second hand Urban Outfitters goods. The aftermath? I ended up with $50 for gas in my car!
