I got a super cute pair of RE/DONE jeans (usually $265 - $375) for $37.50! And they purchased 4 pairs of my shoes, which I got $35 of store credit for, so I only ended up paying the $2.50 + sales tax -- to me this was such a great deal! Sure I could have gotten more for my shoes if I had sold them myself, but to me that is such a hassle. So, I was very excited about it. The staff weren't enthusiastic, but they were friendly and chill. I was happy with their service. I was trying on jeans when they were finished going through my clothes/shoes, and they came to see if I was in the fitting room, and then told me to take my time and come to the front when I was ready. I also got my place in line via the app, so it was a very short wait for me once I got there, even though there was a line, I was next up! Which was also very nice. I went in to sell some items on a weekday, not a busy hour. I was told to put my name on the list and wait until I was called. And wait I did... for almost 2 hours. When my name was finally called I was informed that they would not buy from me as I am not 18, even though I had a presented valid driver's license/ID and was turning 18 in a few weeks. It says nowhere in the store or on their website that they only buy from those above 18 but the worker still refused to accommodate me, even as I had waited in their store for literal hours due to their overabundance of sellers as well as just overall slow employees. Additionally, they overprice their items and their shelves tend to be unorganized and not properly stocked according to size, making it frustrating to find items. Waist of time and money, I would recommend going to buffalo exchange or Goodwill for a better experience. read more

Pretty cool for second hand designer clothing but could be better.. It's in a great location. There's a large womens section and a smaller mens section. Disappointed in the selection of shorts for women. But there's racks and racks of dresses. Brands range from Urban Outfitters to Madewell and Free People to Brandy Melville. We spent hours here just combing through the racks. Unfortunately you can only take six items at a time into the fitting rooms so I must have made five trips. This is a nuisance because I had to get dressed every time I wanted to switch out. Costing extra time. In addition, the fitting rooms are pretty nasty. They need a serious remodel. I did NOT want to be barefoot in there but since I wore sandal I really had no choice. Another tick against them was the lack of a bathroom. I had to cross two streets to get to California Pizza Kitchen to use theirs (it was also up stairs) They customer service was subpar. Not helpful but not in the way. They are just kinda there. I guess there's not much to ask for help anyways. One thing I did like was their choice in music. It was funky and jazz and old. Not the brain grating pop we hear 25/8. Another pro is the pricing. everything I picked up was somewhere between $12-23 to purchase. This is a steal for some of the stuff they have! So my review is: fix your fitting rooms! I've sold clothes at a different location crossroads before and they took most of my things, but I tried this location out and they only took like 4 items bad barely gave me $45. I was really surprised because I had a lot of brands they take; tiger mist, princess polly and more non fast fashion items with tags!!! but they seemed like they barely even looked at my stuff it was all bagged the same and she was finished with like 2 big bags of stuff in less than 20 min. I've been a loyal customer of Crossroads since high school, but never actually donated clothes. I'm moving and thought it'd be perfect to give some clothes away. I came in today at 11:30 with 6 bags and immediately, the staff was visibly annoyed. I felt bad but didn't see that there was any limit to how much I could bring so I continued. After 45 minutes I brought my bags up to the counter and the woman was exceedingly rude - I offered to help go through the clothes and she replied with a short "no." When asked if she would call me when they're done she looked at me as if I was the dumbest person alive and asked my phone number, and didn't say anything after I gave it to her. Fine, whatever. Its busy and I'm sure they're stressed. I head to starbucks to use the restroom and 40 minutes later I get a call to come back. I return to hear that none of my clothes are usable. Seriously? I had 2 pairs of jeans with tags still on, a brand new Clippers jersey, and other designer items. The woman (young, white, brown hair) seemed so happy to see me distressed. From the way she had been treating me since I got in, I am convinced that she didn't even look through the bags! I was appalled and almost in tears by the smirk on her face. I spent all afternoon at my local Crossroads only to be completely disrespected by the vindictive woman at the counter. If it was a problem that I brought in so many bags, why not say that?!? I would have happily helped go through them or taken some away. This experience was insane and enough for me to NEVER return to crossroads again. By far the best crossroads trading in the company. The staff are literally some of the nicest people you'll meet. They are kind and always willing to get things down for me or let me see a consignment piece. They price items fairly for both the seller and the buyer. I read some reviews complaining about pricing as a seller, but you have to understand your items are not going to be priced near what you paid in retail. Thats the entire premise of the store. So don't go in here with a mindset that you'll be able to recoup what you foolishly spent at Neiman Marcus. That's what makes crossroads trading a great place to find deals. I specifically travel to this crossroads because it's my absolute favorite. I can't wait to go back again and pick up some great finds. Great staff!!! read more

Stumbled upon this shop this weekend. Really loved the selection of the clothes and the prices. In particular, I was looking at the jeans and they had many quality brands like Levi's, Lucky Brand, and Gap. I ended up buying a Madewell denim skirt for $15 and Black Orchid jeans for $24, a fraction of the price they would've cost in a department store! The store also had a large selection of dresses and shorts and many of the pieces were an additional 50% when I went. The only complaint I had is that I wish the shoes were more organized so it would be easier to shop and some of the clothes racks were so full it was hard to look at the pieces without knocking things down. read more

Extremely rude people who work here. They treat their customers like an inconvenience, even making fun of items people bring in to sell. With so many amazing options for selling and consigning items, this is not a place I would suggest. They don't do textile recycling, don't donate items they don't purchase. They also don't have a parking lot so you're stuck looking for street parking. I'd suggest selling to The Real Real (they pay WAY higher commissions), or ThredUp which pays you tiny commissions but basically everything sells so it ends up being way more. And both those options send you a lot to donate so you don't have to carry your items anywhere. Bottom line - remember that your customers are the reason you get a paycheck, and you're not "better than" anyone else. read more

As far as selections go, I always hit the jackpot shopping at this location! Whoever is doing all the buying is doing such a great job curating aesthetically chic and fabulous pieces!! It's always so clean at this crossroads. The people that work there are always attentive with organizing the racks! And greets customers as they come in and out. I found a cute dress. It was $22. I checked the tag. It was from Shein. Something told me to check the original price of the dress. I went to Shein's website and found out it's $9 brand new. Facts: A used clothing store is ripping people off by up-charging. Honestly, I'd let this go if the staff was nice. Great location on San Carlos I think. Amazing staff. When I moved back down to LA, I realized that there are more locations all over the city and SF has a few too I think. I go to the one in Studio City. After they got rid of few bitchy sales girls, the place is nice again. There were few there who were acting like this was Rodeo Drive and I was Julia Roberts. Didn't take any of my dresses or skirts or shorts, so I am unsure what season they seem to be in over there. only gave me $53 for about 8 items, Nike, thrasher, Lululemon Harley Davidson. Unsure what they even wanna buy here, because I've seen plenty of items in their store with stains and rips, but they turned down something because of a tiny stain on the collar. However, it took 40 minutes to go through my items once it was my turn (not 40 minutes waiting to sell, but he was actually going through my items for that long). He only decided to take two items, which is ridiculous considering how much scrutiny he must've given each item for it to have taken 40 minutes. If you're going to take that long going back and forth about each item, shouldn't more make the cut? I think it's inconsiderate. If you know you're ultimately not taking most items, be efficient and don't meander. Once he told me which items he was taking, he didn't explain to me that the credit had gone to the new cloud system, so I just stood there waiting for him to give me my credit and then he looked up and obliviously asked if I had a question. Just completely lacked basic communication and customer service. He also didn't fold anything correctly when putting it back in my bags, plus one bag was super overstuffed and about to break while the other was nearly empty, so I had to redistribute everything.. Then I said keep the items as a donation... and she replied that she couldn't take them... that I would have to come back again to do a "drop off". Why????? I've sold at almost every Crossroads in the LA area and this one is possibly the worst one. First of all, there's only meter parking on a very busy street - even on a random weekday afternoon - or residential street parking a block away. This is not the place for you if you're selling multiple bags of heavy clothes and shoes. I recommend selling at a Crossroads with its own private lot in the back instead so you don't have to make multiple trips to the car. Secondly, this store is very small - definitely smaller than the one on Sunset or Melrose location. Since they only have a limited amount of space for merchandise, their buyers are VERY picky and will turn their nose up at anything that is not designer name brand. That being said, my third complaint is that their buyers' tastes are all over the place. They say they don't buy pieces from "fast fashion" stores like H&M and Forever 21, but the buyer I sold with immediately picked out a worn jersey dress from ASOS while passing on other newer/in-season items - including many still with tags attached - from stores of the same caliber. So clearly, they don't *really* know what they're buying. Lastly, this place is a mess. While I was at the store, another customer wanted to exchange a pair of shoes she bought that were in TWO different sizes - the left one was a 9 and the right one was a 10. She was told that the shoes' "twin" were already sold, meaning there was ANOTHER customer out there who had spent money on mismatched shoes. The poor girl ended up taking store credit because 1) they couldn't give her the right sized shoe and 2) wouldn't refund her even though THEY were the ones who made the mistake of pairing two different shoe sizes together. In all, the selection here is pretty limited - both in selling and buying. If you're trying to offload clothes, you have a much bigger shot at making money at another Crossroads location. If you're buying clothes, make sure you pay attention you what you're picking out because the staff clearly does not. read more

Crossroads Trading Co. Is a consignment clothing store, or clothing exchange, chain of stores. Very similar to Buffalo Exchange (that comparison will come up a lot I this review) if you're familiar. It's essentially a second-hand clothing store for more "fashionable" and "upscale" clothes. So what Crossroads does is if you have old/unused clothes they will buy them from you, and then sell them (so not a true consignment shop). The catch is that they may not be willing to buy a certain article of clothing from you if they think they won't be able to sell it, also if they do decide to purchase it their offer will be dictated by how much they think they can sell it for. So, it's not a "thrift store" in the sense that you can't just go get rid of all your old clothes there. This shop is really nice, well kept, and clean. It's not as cramped as Buffalo Exchange, and the clothes are more organized as well. All of the clothes are in good condition and you can definitely score some "finds" at this location. When compared to Buffalo Exchange I think this store is far superior. Buffalo Exchange is too cramped and cluttered, and I have a hard time finding anything. But that is not the case at crossroads! I also tend to find that the clothing at Crossroads is more reasonably priced than at Buffalo Exchange. Which is HUGE! It's fun to go with my wife and try to score a great "find"! Unfortunately, there is no parking (other than street parking) and this shop is located in Ventura boulevard. So depending on when you're trying to go (like on a weekend for instance) it will be very difficult for you to find a place to park. Which is always a minus for me. My wife and I have had to walk several blocks to get to the store, which can be a pain. Also, especially in men's clothing, they do have a somewhat limited selection. I completely understand that men's clothing isn't really their "bread and butter", and that they're completely dictated by the clothes people bring in, but just know that you may not be able to find THAT ONE item that you're looking for.
