We had high hopes. The space was modern, clean, and bright but one side of our corner booth kept sliding. I appreciate their attempt with projections on the floor and spinning signs at stations but some of those signs didn't work so while the idea is cool, it wasn't very helpful. The highlight for our family was the sashimi. Quality was good while pieces were small, you don't often find decent sashimi at other buffets. However, we all agreed that for the price, we'd rather head to an AYCE japanese buffet instead. Thankfully, we came during their valentines special or we would have been super disappointed. There were promises of premium offerings and while there were unique options not generally found at buffets, the quality just wasn't there. The lobster had a soft texture. Same with the crab. We skipped the rotating pot of crawfish. Dishes in the cooked section weren't consistently filled up. Chicken wings were solid when they were fresh. Soups, dim sum, and desserts had variety but were just ok. We saw others with fresh spun cotton candy so you may want to try that. Note that the restaurant space is large and has some areas separate from the main area that is more private and could accommodate a decent size group. Overall, we didn't think it delivered the quality we had hoped for at that price point. read more

This review is based on two visits, one in December and a recent one. In December on a weeknight, the food was disappointing. The selection felt limited, the sushi wasn't good, the lobster was chopped very small with barely any meat, and the crawfish was dry and clearly had been sitting out. Even the boiled egg looked overcooked. Some items I saw online weren't available, and most of the food was very dry. The only thing I found decent was the sweet and sour chicken. There was also an influencer being filmed throughout the restaurant, which was a bit disruptive. My recent visit was slightly better but still had many of the same issues. Overall, this place just isn't for me, but it does look like they're trying to improve. I'd still suggest people try it for themselves since experiences may vary. read more

Eh. I was very excited to have a buffet of dim sum, seafood, and sushi. It's a 5 hour drive and we arrived just before 9. They closed at 10. The food was ok. A lot of it tasted overcooked. Sushi selection was picked clean. At 930p they're packing up and cleaning and basically quit preparing food. Several of us asked for more snow crab and they brought out like half a pound for 4 people waiting. The next time they did bring more since so many people were upset. February is try new local places and Crouching Tiger was our choice. Only open 2 months. They are doing a great job. Modern clean decor using a lot of tech. Like floor projections reminder floor could be wet. Digital Laser changing signs throughout. Bright orange & white decor. Now on to the good. Many sushi choices fresh and hot. I wish it was a better experience for the price. Upon arriving, I had to wait 30 mins and then another 30 mins in the pedicure chair before they started. The tech was nice and all and the salon itself is pretty. Once my nails got started I kinda felt like It was being rushed and got any better quality than a salon that didn't have all the "gimmicks." Tried them out for lunch and was happy with my experience. The sushi offered was better quality than most buffets, especially the salmon nigiri was excellent. The fresh skewers were good (beef, chicken, shrimp), and there was a large selection of warm dishes. I especially enjoyed the squid and the crawfish, but also got to try so,em dishes I haven't had, like frog legs (not bad) and tripe (too chewy for me). They also offer some dim sum, a noodle/soup station, and hibachi. The only thing I didn't like as much was the hibachi, because I didn't enjoy the taste and you don't put together your own seasoning. Price point on a weekend trends a bit high for what you get but it was still an overall good experience. I appreciate how they serve the lobster. There's a person serving it to each customer instead of having the customers get it themselves. I can't be the only person disgusted with seeing the same people hogging plates full of the best pieces leaving none for the next person patiently in line. No the lady that serves it gives each plate a very balanced lobster serving (usually 2 good pieces and 2 useless pieces). The bathroom was arctic cold. Urge to balance the air conditioning flow in this restaurant. It was ridiculous. And thumbs down on the thin and narrow toilet paper too. Back to the food. The hot foods were generally solid though I would say a bit too mala-spicy for my tastes. Thankfully there are enough dishes that don't have that to keep my appetite satisfied. The sushi was pretty much useless and unsure why it was even available. I say continue focusing on what this place is known for (the hot foods and everything else) and improve there. Leave the sushi to Japanese places. The hibachi cooked stuff was surprisingly good. Too many times at some other buffet places you get the hibachi grilled stuff you asked them to cook but zero taste. This was tasty and without even adding sauces so kudos on that. I don't know how I feel about receiving the check and the person hovering over you as you pay for it. Urge to change here. Get out of my space completely when I'm signing the invoice. In this visit, another pet peeve of mine. Seeing and hearing the typical Vietnamese lady video recording everything while talking loudly. Oh that actually reminds me also. There is no personal space at the tables. It's too close together. And yes as another person alluded to. Parking fills up fast. We're seasoned pros so we got there around time they opened so got the best space. There's definitely something for everyone. That being said, some of the waitstaff aren't as knowledgeable or kind. The waiter kept taking our plates when we weren't finished,there was still lots of food on the plate and she didn't even ask if we were finished with the plate. Came here on a Christmas morning and it was very busy but the wait was not bad at all. I was excited to check this place out because I heard they had AYCE Durian. Price wasn't bad for how much food we were getting. We had AYCE Peking Duck, Lobster, Crab, Dim Sum, & Durian. So much food so I couldn't try everything. It was extremely busy inside. We went to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon for lunch on a Friday when it opened and it was perfect. The crowd didn't hit until noon so we were able to navigate through the buffet lines. I think the space between the lines were too small so I can't imagine it being more crowded. Because it was a $20 lunch, it doesn't include lobster nor crab. If you want those, you'll have to come back for dinner or the weekend when it is jam packed and people are waiting in line for a long time. The food was a hit or miss. $45 for lunch on Thanksgiving day for mediocre buffet is a hard pass. They have a decent amount of seafood but they're not that great. I tried all their seafood and sashimi and the quality was poor. The oysters look like they'd give me diarrhea so that was a big no. Lobster were impossible to get, because all the uncles scooped the whole thing as soon as they come out. For the price, it's a hard pass for me. I wouldn't be as salty if they kept the price at $30. Adding a turkey does not make it anymore special. Service was not there. I went there this past weekend with a family member. I had a positive experience in the past and wanted to return. This visit I got very sick from the lobster and crabs. The lobster had some slimy looking sauce on it as well as Dungeness crab claws. I started having terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea. This quickly escalated to vomiting with nausea. My family member patronized the hibachi bar and his symptoms were twice a severe as mine. He also ate the lobster and crawfish. For $30.00 each to get food poisoning is not a good look for this restaurant. I also took note that the buffet temp was subpar and lukewarm. That encourages a "bacteria desert " with so many people being served. Be advised before you patronize! So in conclusion I've been bedridden 2 days throwing up and visiting the bathroom. read more

Such a disappointing experience! A lot of the food was cold. Like not just a little -- it was sitting there cold, and quite a few stations were not getting refilled at all. We stayed around 2.5 hours and some things we wanted to try never came back out. When we asked staff, it was really hard to communicate and we didn't really get any help. The biggest issue though was the kids pricing. The sign says "under 10 / not over 4.5 feet" but nobody explained that this actually means different price levels, and we were not told this in the beginning. Our kids are 7 and 9, very clearly kids, and they still got charged as adults. When we tried to understand it, we were basically told there's no other option. What made it worse is that this kind of pricing confusion seems to happen to other families too (I saw similar reviews after). And the responses from the restaurant don't really help -- they talk about "fairness based on height" but in real life it's just confusing for normal families.HOW IN THE WORLD IT IS FAIR TO CHARGE A 7 (SEVEN Y'ALL!!!!!!!) year old as an 40 year old man!!! Make it make sense! 7 year old = adult???? You guys need some proper education on this! Also, we tried to send feedback through their email after the visit and never got any reply at all. Still nothing weeks later. Overall, we left feeling pretty frustrated. Not because of one small thing, but because of the food quality + communication + how the whole pricing situation was handled.
