I've been such a fan of Crowler Catering, how they've pivoted during the pandemic and how they help other businesses. Crowler carries food and drinks from Louisville restaurants, food businesses and drink brands. Customers order via their site and then either pick up or (depending on the location) have it delivered. This allows you to order from and support several businesses at once. And that's just what we did tonight! We've been in the mood for Irish food, and with perfect timing, I received a marketing email from Crowler about their new Irish offerings in honor of St. Patrick's Day. I ordered the Irish Beef and Guinness Stew, made by new restaurant The Raven. This came with a Crusty Bread Loaf from Wagon Wheel Bread, a local baker, and I also got Guinness Stout Brownies with Jameson ganache and Bailey's Irish Cream frosting, made by Baked, another Louisville fave. These were delivered just outside my door, right when it was set to be delivered. And it was excellent. The stew had large, tender bits of beef, soft potatoes and carrots. With a little salt, the broth was perfect. The serving size said it was enough for four, but we got three bowls of soup out of it. The soup costed $20. The bread was a star of the meal too. It was the cutest little loaf -- the perfect amount for the dinner. And it was crust yet very soft. I would get this again and will seek out Wagon Wheel to see what else they make. And you can never go wrong with Baked. This was decadent and festive. Everything Baked makes is a treat for the eyes and taste buds. Crowler Catering also has food from Mayan Cafe, Chef Ellen Gill, Froggy's Gourmet Popcorn, Papa Pretzels, Four Pegs, Derby Balls and Jay's Cheesecakes. It has beer and cocktails by the can and crowler (hence their name) too. Oh, and check out the KY Crowler Club, a Kentucky beer subscription. Offerings, ordering and delivery was a 5-star experience! Crowler Catering has a user friendly website that displays the week's food and events offered. For $25 you can get delivery, and it's $5 otherwise. Food offerings are from local spots and craft cocktails are made by co-owner, Tisha. This is going to be the perfect place to order from when we don't want to cook or want to have game night with friends. After ordering and paying I got an estimated time of delivery. When Crowler Catering was on their way I got a text and they sent me a picture of drop off. Items were nicely packed and bagged, with instructions for heating things up. For my first order we purchased West 6th IPA, Froggy's sweet and spicy popcorn, pimento cheese, Mayan Cafe pork burrito, 5-cheese pastry, baklava and wings from Four Pegs. Very satisfied customer, I've not used them for food but I am on their email DL and they offer great deals on crowlers of beer. The ordering and pickup process was super fast and easy (they also offer delivery). I recently ran out of good IPAs and saw they were offering a Hoppy 8 pack for only $32 ! That's cheaper than getting at the breweries themselves! Great selection of local crowlers like Holsopple, West 6 Nulu and others like Terrapin and Southern Tier. Google maps is a little off, look for the Crowler sign behind 303 Spring Street. There's a little garage there where you text them and they bring the order out to your car! Crowler Catering (and small batch events) has really pivoted during COVID to serve our community and support local chefs and caterers). Their big draw is local draft beer packaged in a beautifully-sized Can/Growler (Crowler). It's about the size of two beers - the perfect Goldilocks size. They also source other local snack and restaurant companies for purchase. Super happy with the concept, process and service - only tried beer and popcorn so far but will be back for other dishes! Ordering on the website was easy, in the afternoon I ordered and received a text with directions. Stopped by after work (pull into the alley and there is a sign with the number to text for the curbside delivery). If you live within range, they will deliver (I'm in Southern IN so had to pick up). They change the menu up weekly (this week was pastitsio, baba ghanoush and baklava). They have snacks from other local places: Four Pegs wings/ribs, Mayan Cafe burritos, Losta Pasta, Froggy's Gourmet Popcorn, Red Hot Roasters coffee to name a few this week. The beers also rotate and there was a good selection for me (I got a sour and a stout) and there were several IPAs. My husband likes wheats and lagers so would have enjoyed one of those as an option. I love the Falls City Upside Down Sour and the Yuengling Hershey's Stout. I'm SO excited about the cocktails but didn't try them yet. I had Froggy's popcorn and couldn't stop eating the birthday cake flavor. The Mexican street corn was not so crisp - almost tasted stale. I will definitely try other flavors in the future. read more

I had seen some posts about Crowler Catering & Small Batch Events. Decided to browse their social media and websites. I noted several Irish inspired food and beverage offerings available for ordering and delivery this week. Knowing that St. Patrick's Day was coming, I browsed the Irish stews, potato leek soup, brown bread from The Raven, and a Guinness with two glasses special along with an intriguing stout beer offering. Pricing wasn't too over the top particularly for the size of the containers of soup and large bread loaf with Irish butter. Delivery price was $5 something and I tipped. Having honeymooned throughout Ireland in 2017, we came to enjoy many of the soups, stews, sausages, etc along our self planned out journey. My husband and I have talked for 3.5 years now about the potato leek soup we had one colder rainy day there so of courseI ordered the soup from Crowler Catering! It was delicious on this rainy St. Patrick's Day evening at home complete with warmed bread and butter. The two Guinness glasses were a nice surprise for my husband so worth the purchase. A nice variety of unique foods and beverages are offered weekly(?) I'm assuming. Ordering online and delivery was easy and went without any glitches. I have gotten 2 deliveries so far from Crowlers and both experiences were excellent. How nice is it to have snacks and beer brought to your door? They have a wonderful craft beer selection, cocktails, a variety of snacks including gourmet popcorn. I have gotten the crowler of beer and popcorn deal both times and could order that every week and be happy. The sweet and spicy popcorn paired nicely with an IPA. My husband loves the cheddar maple bacon popcorn and Falls City Pineapple Sour beer. I checked their website and found they partner with other local spots so their menu is ever changing. I joined their Cocktail of the Month Club and it is fabulous!
