A few years ago my daughter, who was a patient at the time, was in a softball tournament in Kansas City. She forgot to bring extra daily contacts with her so I called Dr. Goerrs office on a Saturday morning when they were closed. He knew another doctor in KC and gave them her prescription so we could go to his office and pick them up. This past weekend I was getting ready for my grandson's birthday party and something scratched my eye. I was walking around with one hand covering my eye. I called Dr. Goerrs on his emergency line. He calls me back shortly after. First he apologizes for not answering my call but he just got off a plane in St. Louis and he hasn't even gotten his luggage yet. I tell him what happened and he sent out a prescription to my pharmacy before leaving the airport. We picked it up right away and I could start using it before the party started. Today I had my first eye appointment at Walmart Vision Center--Dr. Todd Wollbrinck was fantastic! He was super knowledgeable about my eyes and explained everything in a way I could understand--much better than previous eye doctors! I've always been nearsighted and have needed glasses/contacts, but I didn't know I had slight astigmatism; it explains why weird things happen with my eyes sometimes. Very informative and friendly. And, all of the staff was really nice and helpful as well. 10/10 would recommend, and I will be back next year! :)

Overall the service for my exam was fine but when it came down to buying glasses the sales tactics were obvious and horrible. When I started to question the costs I was given diff excuses trying to justify why my glasses were sooo expensive, even when having vision insurance. They told me that buying the same glasses with my insurance would cost me more based on the funny math used for the lens and bundling pricing. Highly recommend taking your prescription to another company or online to save you a lot of money! Sad!

Dr. Lyman was informative and personable about my situation and didn't add any extras I didn't need. It's always good to have a doctor laugh at my silly nervous jokes I always make when seeing an optometrist. My mother was my optometrist my entire life, until she passed away recently, so seeing new optometrists can be a whole thing for me sometimes. That's where the nervous joking comes from. As a returning customer of Performance Eyecare in Cottleville, I was there in April of this year…read morefor my exam and I was encouraged to purchase "Eye Promise" supplement ($221) in order to hopefully improve a pending eye condition. The lady explained the daily doses and told me to come back in six months so Doctor Lyman could check for improvement of that condition. She said there wouldn't be a charge. I returned in September for the test. As the lady began the test, she informed me there would be a $25 charge. I stated that the lady before said there wouldn't be a charge. The only reason for this visit was for a test to check for improvement. She went out to ask somebody but came back and said they were all busy. She was fairly friendly before that but then her demeanor changed. I said it's not the end of the world but stated that's what I was told. She then took me to the exam room. As Doctor Lyman and I were talking another lady came in and immediately broke into the conversation to ask me how many more bottles of Eye Promise I wanted to buy. I went out with her to pay for them ($117). She was not friendly or interactive other than telling me the total amount due and that there was the now popular additional charge for using a credit card. She got my receipt and I put it in my bag. She didn't respond with anything. Not a "thank you" or anything else. I could have been adamant about the $25 charge. While that is less than pocket change to me it's the thing of what I was told in April. I followed Dr. Lyman to Performance Eyecare because he has been taking care of me for MANY years. I was not nasty or ignorant about the charge. I always show respect to those who do their job to sell me a product or service. I expect the same from those who need ME as a customer. I walked out the door and wondered what I did wrong. I paid what they told me even though it was incorrect but I didn't disrespect them. When I was in retail the owners would sometimes remind us that the customer keeps the business open. Disrespect and foul attitudes towards a pleasant customer will often be devastating for the business. Also, the employees of Performance Eyecare appear pushy to increase sales. I don't appreciate that either. Dr. Lyman has always been kind, attentive and respectful to me over the years. However, some of the other employees are my reason to never return. I won't pay their expensive prices for foul and uppity attitudes. Also, this business will text me after I've been there to ask me to take a survey. I gave them a perfect review after my prior visit. I then got a thank-you text for my "great feedback" and was asked to share it on Google. After my review pertaining to this last visit, I heard nothing. They didn't have the integrity to contact me. When I needed them for an urgent visit they told me in about a month I could get in. My wife was a patient at Manchester Eye Care and Dr Secoy. Received a same day appointment and antibiotic prescription. Perfect follow up appointment and for years now Dr Secoy handles all my routine appointments and corrective lenses. Eyecare the way it should be! Cannot say enough great things about Manchester Eye Care.

Had a broken pair of glasses that were only a few months old. One of the arms just fell off. No fault of anyone. Put them on a side table, picked them up and the arm came clean off the frame. No break. Took two weeks and 2 days to get them back, after being told a week. I finally called and magically they had just come in that day. Picked them up about an hour after I called them. Then about three weeks after that, they broke again, this time we realized that while they broke in the same spot, they were different frames. Okay great. They had replaced the glasses, not fixed them. So back to Rosen to get them fixed again. Not a break, they had fallen apart. After several minutes I was told that the charge to repair would be over 100 dollars. Really? They had already been repaired once. I feel like they lied to me about the first fix. I feel like they had the frames in stock and when I called they put his lenses in a new pair because they had not been repaired in the two weeks before I finally called them, then when the new ones broke, (totally different style "arm"), they wanted to charge me over 100 bucks to fix them. I asked for a copy of the prescription, took a couple of minutes and left. Went to another optometrist the same day, they fixed the glasses while we waited and gained three new patients. No charge btw. I would not recommend Rosen to anyone, ever. Oh and we weren't crazy about them after the visit in January as the optician who "helped" with trying on frames didn't say more then ten words to us and made my grandson uncomfortable and feeling rushed. Husband and I had planned on all using the same eye doc and we are, but it is NOT Rosen. 8 star docs, 3 star staff, 0 star customer service. Plenty of other choices out there!
