The service was absolutely terrible from the moment we arrived until the second we left and I was shocked at the extreme lack of customer service we received while visiting. Now let me start by saying, I am not one to complain. I worked in the restraint industry for years when I was younger so I totally get it...but our entire experience was terrible and I needed to let someone know. Maybe with the proper training you can get your serves up to scale to provide decent service so that you have retuning (and happy ) customers. We waited in a short line to be seated and the hostess took us inside to sit us at a table. We were pushing my 9 months old son in a stroller yet, when we walked inside she tried to take us up the stairs with no consideration to us having a stroller. We asked her if it would be possible to sit at one of the many open booths/tables on the first floor so that we didn't have to try and carry the large stroller with my son in it up the stairs. She seemed annoyed that we even asked. She walked over to a table , sat the menus down and started to walk away. As she was walking away we asked her if she had some sort of high chair we could use. Without saying anything she just walked away (we weren't sure what she was doing ) and grabbed one. Unfortunately, the table she seated us at was dirty so we asked if it was okay to move to the one next to it and she said "yes". She so rudely just sat the high chair at the dirty table and didn't offer to move it to the one we were going to be sitting at. We shrugged it off and looked over the menu and were excited to try the Ultimate bloody mary and tasty food. I ordered the ultimate bloody Mary and my husband was ordering a whiskey and ginger ale - he asked our server what kind of whiskey they had and she said " I don't know its probably on that thing" while pointing to a small stand up menu on our table. He grabbed it and looked through it but there wasn't any information on it. She went to the bar and returned back saying "there's too many types if you want to know you'll have to come look at the bar ". He asked for a popular brand name to make it easy and ordered it. When she returned with our drinks I noticed my bloody Mary was in a much smaller glass and didn't match the description of the one I ordered in the picture and I mentioned that to our server. She didn't express any sort of apology and just told me that she didn't know that was the one I wanted and asked if I wanted her to take away the one she brought me. I told her yes , that I wanted the ultimate bloody mary (with all the fun fixings!). We ordered the large BBQ platter to share and asked for a side of fries for our 9 month old to snack on. The BBQ platter was "okay" at best. The beef rib we received was disgusting and I was embarrassed for them that they would try to serve something to a customer - it had zero meat on it and was covered in nothing but fat. The server was irritated that we complained about that but the manager was great and brought us out a new one with a SMILE (which we hadn't received from anyone else there yet).The baked beans were cold so we didn't eat those (but didn't dare sending those back after how we had been treated thus far) . Was a bit perturbed by the end of the whole dining experience (to say the least) and especially was in shock to see I was charged $7(I believe) for a side of fries for a baby. I have never been charged so much for a side before. Luckily the fries were the best thing we received. Even the $16 bloody mary was terrible and I didn't drink but ¼ of it. The whole dining experience put a real damper on the mini vaca we took to visit Williams. It was literally the worst dining experience ever and our server was absolutely terrible, unfriendly and lacked any customer service skills. I wouldn't have minded spending that much on dinner for 2.5 had the food been "okay" and the service at least "decent". read more

We've been planning a trip to the Grand Canyon for about 2 weeks, watched several videos about Williams - one with John the owner of, apparatnely the diner and the Grand Canyon Brewing Company. First badly needed vacation in a couple of years. So we planned the trip around leaving a day early to see Williams and mostly to eat at the cafe. We arrived for lunch, things were fairly quiet. We were seated in the upper level by the bar. There was one family there with 2 (loud) small kids and we were seated directly next to them and again.. they were they only people in that area. Server comes, we ask about the craft beer, asked her where it's made, she had no idea. I asked if it's from the GC Brewing Co.. "oh, yeah." Ordered two craft beers.. took a long time and they were both warm from the tap! Waited forever for our server, she took them back and we didn't see her for another forever. Eventually another guy came to the table and said there was nothing he could do about it, but that they also had cold bottled beer - no, I'm sorry etc., just typical alpha male attitude. Our server eventually came and took our order. Another person was then seated behind us. A different server came and took his order - after ours. He was served, ate and left, and we still had not received our order. Two burgers medium.. onion rings and baked beans. An HOUR later, ours arrived. The baked beans were more like soup, in a metal bowl. The bowl was cold and so were the beans. The burgers were well done and not warm. Half pound of "Fresh Angus"... um, no. More like a quarter pound and obviously frozen patties. Sat there dumbfounded for another long spell and our server came by and asked if everything was ok. I asked to talk to the manager. Another long wait. Explained the situation. She said a large group had come in and it overwhelmed the kitchen. The large group came in after we placed our order. What an incredibly disappointing and horrible experience! Take some time and read the one stars on here and do yourself a favor and avoid this place!! read more

This restaurant chages 18% to your bill automatically . We were on our way to the grand canyon railway punkin patch train & decided to get something to eat first. (BAD IDEA to go to to this place) thier were 5 of us & one baby but we only ordered 3 plates of food . not all of us were hungry. we waited & waited & waited for someone to take are drink order . I want to leave & my husband said give them another min. She came over & wanted to take our drink order & i said we are ready to order . She seamed kinda shocked. The food came a little bit later & the food was great. i asked for my bill & noticed the had included the tip of 18% & i asked another girl going by to get the manager. The manager never came. I crossed of the tip & put 4.00. I didnt feal you should pay for very poor service. I called & they said the manager would call me back in about a hour . He did & BOY was he rude. He said it says it on the front of the menu & i said who reads the front of a munu & by the way it was covered with all the napkins they gave us with the silverwear. He said he wasnt going to do anything about it & the charge was going to stand. so i hung up & called my creditcard company who gave me the moneyback. I was shocked to because it was the same day i called the bank but they said i was a great customer & they would take care of it. DONT PAY BY CREDITCARD at this place. They know they are going to get 18% so why give u great service. read more

Disappointing Experience -- Not Worth Your Time This place looks really cool from the outside, like a fun, old-school diner, and we loved the self-serve soda setup with unlimited refills. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The service and food were both a letdown. We tried to order beer, but out of about 8 beers on draft, only 3 were actually available. Our server didn't seem familiar with the menu at all. We also ordered a French dip to go, and after asking about it several times, we were finally told it had been frozen and they were struggling to defrost it--definitely not what you expect. The kids' mac and cheese was just plain Kraft, which felt lazy for a dine-in meal. We repeatedly asked for napkins, ranch, and other small things, but nothing ever came. The cocktails were underwhelming for the price--nothing special at all. Overall, this place had potential, but between the poor service, lackluster food, and limited drink options, it just wasn't worth it. read more

I am convinced that any of the good reviews are fakes created by the owners and or friends. When I went there it was just horrible. The food was overcooked and lacked care. At all cost avoid the sitting outside. They avoided all cost and bought walmart cheapo resin chairs for seating in the patio making for a very messy and flimsy eating experience. Oh and if a glass rolls off those unstable tables. You will be paying for them. And if you dont they call the cops. Oh and don't think to complain to the manager. The manager/owner has the social and customer service skills of a Meth dealer. He will just get verbally abusive and almost violent. The place was overall not a clean place. On the way to the bathroom after my meal I passed by the kitchen witch just made me sick to my stomach. If you are visiting this town. We visited this restaurant before our "Polar Express" train ride, stopping in for dinner. The place wasn't very busy when we arrived, and it was charmingly decorated for Christmas, with plenty of trees and festive ambiance. Our waitress came about 10 minutes after we were seated, but since we enjoy chatting, the wait passed quickly. Soft drinks were self-serve once we received our glasses. For our meal, we ordered a pulled pork sandwich, chili with mozzarella sticks, and a loaded baked potato. The pulled pork was juicy, the chili was delicious, but the baked potato was cold. Despite that, the brisket on top had a fantastic smoked and barbecue flavor. Overall, we rated this place based on three factors: ambiance, service, and food. We gave one star for ambiance, one star for service, and two stars for the food. read more

We were a large party of nine and when our food came, they told one of our guests that the meal she ordered is no longer available (mind you this was after a 30 min wait!) and if she would like to place a new order.next, my sons kids meal was delayed because we ordered bacon bits on his Mac and cheese; the waitress told us that they can't modify a kids meal. I went here with a large group of family 12+ it was nice because we didn't have to wait too long. They seated us inside but we asked if we could move outside and after a couple of minutes the fixed a couple of tables and let us moved outside kuddos for that. The food was really good, the BBQ and the burgers were delicious some of my groups order pasta and such which wasn't as good but I don't expect a BBQ restaurant to have delicious pasta lol My only issue was there were a lot of flies around, it really didn't seem like they had a system or even care to try to get rid of them which after a while became annoying. read more

We live here in Williams and try to give our business to the family owned business's to show our support. We will never go there again. Bbq pulled pork had no flavor tasted like water . Look at the breakdown of the reviews before trying this restaurant...They have more one star reviews than any other, which should tell you something about the restaurant. We went to the restaurant and sat there, but our server never came by. We asked for someone to please check in our server, but the server still didn't come by. Worst restaurant experience EVER! They charge an extra $4 to share a half-pound burger which has been lightly browned and then cooked under a heatlamp or so it seemed. The food was absolutely disgusting and grossly overpriced. I paid $80 for 2 plates of dry, tasteless, cardboard which they called "brisket." it's was so gross that we didn't even finish half of it. I live in Williams and I honestly think Crusers is over priced. I love Goldie's down the road. Everything is awesome and won't break the bank. They always give you plenty to eat. Happy staff. We go to Goldie's all the time. It always is good and prices are reasonable. read more

I'm a local and cruisers is where I go for a great burger. The atmosphere is classic route 66, family friendly and lively. Live musicians play outside on the patio during the summer. I care for the Grand Canyon Pale Ale a great deal. read more
