We ate at Canyonlands Restaurant during our visit to Bearizona and, unfortunately, it was pretty underwhelming. The setup is counter-service, and one thing that caught me off guard was being asked to choose whether we wanted to sit upstairs or downstairs before we'd even seen either area. I picked upstairs, but after getting up there, I probably would have preferred downstairs. The upstairs bar was closed, which made the space feel a little empty. Food-wise, everything was just... mid. I ordered the Smokehouse Burger with fries. The burger itself was fine, but there wasn't much flavor. The pulled pork on top was absolutely drenched in BBQ sauce that tasted like it came straight from a grocery store bottle, and it completely overpowered everything else. The fries arrived room temperature and bland. I ended up covering them in salt and dipping them in ketchup, which I rarely do. My boyfriend ordered the Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese. The mac and cheese didn't taste fresh, wasn't very hot, and was lacking flavor. The chicken was decent, and the bread on the side was okay, but nothing stood out. The one thing I really did enjoy was the theming. The restaurant fits the Bearizona atmosphere well, and I appreciated the rustic lodge feel. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the setting. The ingredients felt low quality, and there wasn't any exceptional service to make up for it. If we visit Bearizona again, we'll probably eat in town before heading to the park. I'm glad we tried it once, but once was enough. read more

In 11 years of Yelping I have given out less than a hand full of 1 star reviews as I reserve one stars for the worst of the worst. "This place is one of them" PLEASE save yourself the run for the boarder and stay far away from this restaurant!! Seriously they are way,WAY overpriced and give you French fries that are cold and taste like cardboard, the taco meat is without a doubt scooped out of a can that tastes like it was opened a month ago and looks like... well you can use your own imagination, the food has so much salt that it taste like a salt lick! The food is straight up garbage and whom ever owns and operates the place knows it! and oughta be ashamed of themselves for serving people this crap!!With the amount of money we have to pay for it!! Shame on you!! People do yourselves a huge favor,bring your own snacks or wait to eat after you leave, don't subject yourself to this crap!! This restaurant is inside the Bearizona Drive-Thru Wildlife Park and there's a lot of parking. It's inside the store, and the inside is very scenic with rock walls and grand canyon paintings. As you walk in, the bathrooms are to your right and they were clean and well maintained. To the left there's a full bar and right up front you can order food. They have a variety of food options and the food came fairly quickly and all at once (we ordered two kid meals, Southwestern Burger, and the BLTA) . The kids said the fries were okay, but the chicken tenders were good! The BLTA (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado) was delicious! Haven't had such a great BLT in a while, since my favorite restaurant closed. Would also recommend the Southwestern burger. There's seating on the first floor and there's also additional tables on the second floor. I did initially feel that the food was a bit pricey but we wanted to try the food as we didn't on our first visit here some time ago. Overall the plates were big, tasty and the service was great so it's worth trying. read more

This cool cafe is located in the Bearizona park. Several options are offered including burgers, sandwiches, and salads. The atmosphere was really cool with two levels and fun decor. You order at a counter and then your food is brought to your table. We all ordered burgers: southwest burger, mushroom Swiss, and bacon burger. The burgers really hit the spot. Popped in here for a snack and a beer after the drive through and walk through experience. The bartender was warm and friendly and let us taste all the beers we wanted to! The bartender is indoor/outdoor which elevated the atmosphere, making us feel like we were still in the park and not sitting at a bar. The menu is a bit pricey as one would expect and we were just looking for a snack so ordered the kids grilled cheese and fries. Nothing special there but the overall experience was great!! The restaurant is clean and neat, they was plenty of tables and also had outside seating There is no table service, however once you order your food, they deliver it to your table. If you sit at the bar, they will take your order. We opted to sit at the bar and Savannah was the bartender. She was very pleasant, professional, and provided fantastic service. They have a decent craft beer section and we ordered off of that. We ordered the Navajo Fry Bread and a cup of cheddar broccoli soup. The fry bread was authentic and huge. It tasted very a good and was a bit spicy. The salsa came on the side and it was delicious but too hot for my taste. The soup was very good also. The perfect blend of broccoli and cheddar. read more

Came here because we were on a road trip and stopped at Bearizona, but this bar is inside the zoo /park and I needed caffeine so bad for the remainder of the trip to Vegas. Ok so we didn't get any beer but the bar vibes were pretty nice. I did have to take one star off because my coffee was extremely watered down. This place gave off ski resort energy. The girls behind the bar are super friendly and attentive... at least to me and my friends they were. I kinda feel bad for them tho because they do have to deal with random bar drunks LOL who comes to a wildlife zoo and gets wasted at a bar? Ok well maybe if I had a bad day but either way I enjoyed this place and will 100% come back:) enjoy my pics!! read more

The cashier was really friendly. They have a good selection of appetizers, burgers, salads, macaroni and cheese options with proteins, and kids meals. Such a beautiful experience I don't think I've ever been to a restaurant that has been able to transport me completely into another place The way Canyonlands can. Customer service was so friendly and helpful once we placed our order she told us go ahead get lost explore. Have a good time. We'll find you and bring your food and that's exactly what they did the menu although seems simple basic we got a cold sandwich a burger, some fries and a salad. Everything tasted amazing. The fries were crispy. The sandwich was fresh. The burger was loaded, and the salad was dressed up. I wouldn't call this place first date material but definitely a must see for families out for adventure. read more

Cute little restaurant tucked away inside of Bearizona in Williams, AZ. We've gone here for years and while some personnel have come and gone there are some regulars that have never ceased to amaze us with great customer service and knowledge of the wildlife. The food can be hit or miss but they do accommodate requests and serve it fresh/hot. Yeah, its' a little pricey but so much goes back to the animals, the ambiance of the park and to the hardworking team. We are happy to support. read more

This place really shocked me. We came here on a whim since we were hungry and it would have been another hour back up to the Grand Canyon so even though we weren't sure of the food, we decided to try it out. The service was great and one of the staff members actually made conversation with my husband which is always appreciated. The design of this place is really awesome too. They have two levels, each with a separate bar section in the back and both levels lead right up to the jaguar inside the zoo. As for the food, we ordered Mango Habanero wings, fried pickles, and a burger. The wings were so juicy and cooked just right. The sauce was sweet and very spicy which really surprised me. The fried pickles were crunchy and sour, the burger was good too. I really enjoyed this place, more than I thought I would. 100% would return if I visit Bearizona in the future. read more

Nice restaurant at Bearizona to sit & have lunch. Entrees are definitely large and shareable. It's a cave theme so the kids love it plus going over to watch the jaguar through the window. We have been here before and obviously have come back so it's not too bad. However, today they closed early for a private party, which we were told on arrival. They were to close at 3. However, they closed the doors before 2:40 which just isn't right. The food is decent and very expensive. The southwestern chicken sandwich was pretty good but the burger was a frozen patty with no flavor. The Mac and Cheese however is out of this world. Worth the price tag. read more

After a long walk through Bearizona we went to grab something for eat. I expected regular burger place but this was more than that. The restaurant concept is made so you have a feeling you are inside of a cave. They have two floors and service is amazing, lady behind the counter went above and beyond to leaving the counter and took a picture of our family. Food was suoer fast. It's a self service but as soon as we seat they boy brought our foods. Burgers are awesome but I would say they have the best French fries so far I have ever had in a restaurant. Kids meals are also decent size and comes with the fountain drink. Their interior is something else, you really have a feeling like you are inside of cave. All the animals are fit perfectly there and it is super kids friendly. But in order to get an and get out you have to go through gift shop which is a little hassle since we were with a kids. Today, eight of us met at Bearazona for a drive through tour and a walking tour of their facility. After completing both tours, we met in the very nice canyon/cave decor of the Canyonlands restaurant. We had three Navaho tacos and numerous different types of sandwiches. We had a couple of The Signature Cocktails and an Appetizer. The Fried Zucchini and Mushroom combo plate Was tasty and done well. I had The Signature Hot Toddy and Loretta had a Irish Coffee. They were nice and hot and tasted great considering it was a cold day outside. Well worth the warm up. The decor of this restaurant is magnificent with all the stone walls and the replication of the Grand Canyon in the background. Even if you don't eat this place is worth going in to take pictures and look at. Such a beautiful job they did on the interior. So if you're going to the Grand Canyon be sure to stop and check out Bearizona animal preserve and the beautiful Canyonlands restaurant. read more

They give you a number and then bring the food to your table. Drinks are refillable at your own discretion. We ordered the Belgian pretzel appetizer and the cheese dipping sauce is absolutely divine. I can't even describe how delicious it was. We also ordered the Navajo taco, BBQ sandwich, chicken strips, and grilled chicken sandwich. The Navajo taco is HUGE and really really good, the BBQ sandwich was delicious as well. I didn't taste the other two items but the people in our group who ate them said they were really good too. Not sure why this has 4+ stars. First, once you're in Bearazona, you cannot re-enter. So, if you want to eat in the town of Williams, know that you have to either eat before or after your visit. If you're stuck, Canyonlands is very much like eating at a Disneyland (and I use the term loosely) restaurant. Food choices are what you would expect to find, hamburgers, sandwiches, etc. Expect pre frozen chicken patties, burgers and TacoBell type "meat". For the prices they charge $17-20 per sandwich, you would expect fresh. That being said, the cattle call line you're waiting in to order- food does come pretty quick. The seating area is nicely decorated and you can see the Jaguar exhibit if you're sitting in the right spot. However, it is messy, utensils and condiments are "pick your own" and not very sanitary. Floors could be swept, tables wiped down, etc., especially as there were few patrons eating inside. The only thing I can say good about this place is they do have a full service bar, which BTW you can order food there if the regular line is too long. We will visit Bearazona again but will definitely eat before entering the park. read more

The three of us had freshly brewed ice tea and split 2 FABULOUS Navajo Tacos. It's above average tourist food. For being inside a major attraction, it's solid. But if you really want a great meal, go to Williams. I got the burger with the pulled pork on it. The burger patty was overcooked and unremarkable. But the combo with the pulled pork made it pretty good. My whole family was happy with their dishes. Fries were below average, but fine. This fine dining establishment is located within the confines of Bearizona. We ordered two kids grilled cheese and ham meals as well as a kids chicken finger meal. The ham and cheese was hot. Hot as in burn your hand hot... But it did taste real good (ate my kids left overs). The chicken tenders was okay. Not all chicken, but seemed like a mix of chicken parts. The fries were pretty good. Nice and crispy. The kids definitely loved it. You can eat downstairs or eat upstairs and look out or into the the park. It was nice that they kept the dining area clean. read more
