Came here after seeing a huge line at this place twice but finally gave it a go when the line was a bit shorter. The store itself is really clean but I suppose that's also in part to the fact it's new. The sectioned off part for the line is also fairly easy to notice so in turn waiting is pretty efficient. The problem however is literally the cookie. I bought a semi sweet chocolate chip cookie and while it's $4 for a single cookie, I suppose the size makes up for it. But as far as taste goes, it really is over sweetened to the point it's just way too much sugar. I saw the other Yelp reviews about their cookies being over sweetened so I got the semi sweet one. But if the semi sweet one is already too sweet, then I don't think I even want to know how their other ones like snickerdoodle with frosting or brownie sundae cookie is like. The texture is pretty good with a chewy interior and crispy outside. That can stay. But sugar content needs to change. The concept is pretty good to have new flavors every week. But I suggest the store really tweak with their recipes. And while I may not be a pro baker, I do bake my own cookies like snickerdoodle, choco chip, or peanut butter cookie and I don't think I've ever made any cookie this sweet. So perhaps I'll come back way down the road, but for now, I'm good to wait a while. The cost of $4 for a large sized average tasting cookie is a bit expensive in my opinion. read more

The long awaited arrival of Crumbl Cookies, in the Veranda, has finally arrived. I had waited a good 2 weeks, after their grand opening date, to try Crumbl, as I didn't want to wait in line as many other Yelpers have indicated their frustration and disappointment with the long queues at this location. Further, I wanted to make sure that the delights that they served weren't sold out and they had a little bit of time to perfect their offerings. Well, many others probably had the same thing in mind. When my friends and I arrived on a Friday evening, there was a long line that stretched out towards the sidewalk. We started to line up, in what would eventually be a 45-50 minute wait. During our wait, my best friend checked the front of the store to see what flavors they carried. She reported that they had sold out of the chocolate chip cookie and the other seasonal flavor (which was very sad, as that was my go-to), and that they had 3 flavors left; lemon poppyseed, sugar cookie with pink frosting, and chocolate dream. We ended up continuing to wait. Once we got to the front, we discovered that each cookie was about the price of $5. I ended up getting the sugar cookie with pink frosting. After our party of five all received their orders, we ended up sitting outside a neighboring store to consume our orders. It seemed like we collectively ordered the sugar cookie or the chocolate dream. I would say that our excitement was a bit heightened, as the cookies were good, but not wait-for-45-50-minutes good. The sugar cookie was a bit more dough-ey than I would have wanted, and the frosting syrup-y sweet (which was alright). It was a bit upsetting that our favorite flavors ran out. Crumble cookies is the newest sweets attraction at The Veranda in Concord! My husband and I came the day after their grand opening and it was busy!!! The day we came they close the pick up early probably because of how busy they were. One thing to know about Crumble Cookies is that their menu changes. This was the main reason we waited in line. There was one cookie I wanted to try, the banana cream pie. We've tried these cookies before at the Brentwood location and they are always amazing. I also did a catering order for my sister in law's graduation party. You can get smaller cookies when you cater. The regular cookies are huge! You can definitely share. There are two cookies that they always have the chocolate chip and the chilled sugar cookie. To be honest, those two are my favorite ones. They are creamy, sweet enough and very moist. Crumbl is known for their colossal cookies but I'd be lying if I said I couldn't finish one myself. I mean their classic sugar cookie is ridiculous delicious, there's so much sugar and so many calories but I like to treat myself every now and then! The option to order at the kiosk is great for introverts so you just have to wait for them to call out your name for the order and the staff here is always very friendly! I believe that this is their opening week, and they were passing out vouchers for a free chocolate chip cookie around Veranda. I stopped by to try it out. When you walk in, there's a man (assuming he's the manager) at the door who greets you and it's immediately followed by the staff saying "Welcome to Crumbl!" What a cute cookie store! I hadn't noticed this place before so we decided to stop here for dessert after we ate dinner at a near by restaurant. What caught my attention about this place was seeing how the line was super long and so that led me to believe that the cookies must be that damn good. We stumbled upon Crumbl but were naive and not aware of the hype behind these cake-like cookies that were thrust upon us. However, on this fine Saturday, as we continued to find parking, we saw that the line turned the corner and was at least 30 people deep. We saw a group of people go in, and pondered why 15 or so minutes later they still hadn't left. What exactly happens in this mysterious cookie store? Did they get abducted? Were they forced to make the cookies themselves? No - instead they walked out with several boxes of cookies - enough to possibly buy a Nintendo Switch (or $300 worth). Thankful that they will indeed let us leave, we finally entered. A worker had earlier exited the store to tell the line that they were already sold out of some cookies, so we knew we had limited options. The ordering iPads were out of service so we ordered directly from the cashier. From the two cookies they always have (sugar cookie and chocolate chip) and the four additional flavors that rotate out, I believe only two or three of the rotating ones were still available. We were told there were only two Peaches n' Cream left, so being the selfish person I am I took the last two without a second thought. We also got a sugar cookie and chocolate chip for the four pack. Hubby and I tried this place out a couple weekends back. It's a small location but easy to find just follow the line as it is close to Yard House. I found out you can place orders online for pick up which I plan to do next time. Since it was our first time here, we decide to do the four pack. They have selections available in the display. We chose the following: White chocolate biscotti, milk chocolate chip, cookies & cream milkshake, and Neapolitan. They came out warm and fresh. All the cookies were good but I have to warn you we felt they were pretty big and it was more than enough for two people. Next time I would just stick with one LOL. Came here on a Saturday, the line went by pretty quick and it's located in a shopping area. It was nice and parking was easy to find despite it being busy. Located within the Veranda Shopping Center in the heart of Concord, California, Crumbl Cookies represents the new wave of shops specializing simply in selling elaborately made cookies that have arrived throughout the San Francisco Bay Area in the past couple of years. What may set Crumbl Cookies apart from their competitors is that they have a weekly rotating menu of cookies that they sell and that when their franchises open they have decided to primarily focus on the suburban areas of the Bay Area with locations in various outdoor lifestyle shopping centers versus that of an urban city neighborhood storefront. Crumbl Cookies got its start in the state of Utah and was the brainchild of cousins Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley whose primary goal was to create and sell the world's best chocolate chip cookie. Once that goal was achieved they set upon opening their first store and then came a second, and word of mouth got out, and then came expansion and boy have they truly succeeded as if one were to look on their website, their locations are now in the hundreds, which is nothing short of remarkable considering that they were founded only back in 2018. When the Veranda Shopping Center opened a couple years ago Crumble made sure that they too were open almost as soon as the entire shopping complex opened, as they don't require a huge store footprint, despite the fact they have two huge utilitarian cookie makers that no doubt are hard at work making fresh cookies on a daily basis. Upon entry to Crumbl Cookies, customers can order at one of their two touch pad kiosks that they have by their front doors, or they can order at their counter with one of their customer service representatives, which is what I did when I entered on a warm weekend afternoon. I have passed by this location a number of times, and every time I have walked by, there has been a line out the door, but when I arrived there were no customers inside and I was lucky enough to order at their front counter. The first thing any new visitor will notice is that their service is quite top-notch as their numerous team members greet customers in unison. In terms of quantity, the menu at Crumbl Cookies has options of cookies being sold as single, in packs of four, six, twelve, in addition to single pints of ice cream, as well as in packs of four, as well as things such as milk or water to pair your cookies and ice cream with. In terms of their cookies, they had six options, including Milk Chocolate Chip, Lemon Cupcake, Double Fudge Brownie, Chocolate Toffee Cake, Frosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts, and their Mystery Cookie, which the menu explicitly stated was Peanut Butter featuring Reese's Pieces. Today, I opted for their 4-Pack Box sold at $16, with their Lemon Cupcake, Double Fudge Brownie, Chocolate Toffee Cake, and Peanut Butter with Reese's Pieces. I enjoyed my cookies upon my return home, carrying them in their signature oblong pink box back to my car, while I enjoyed every spoonful of my rich and creamy ice cream on my drive back home. Some of my cookies were better than others, with the two standouts being the Lemon Cupcake and Double Fudge Brownie as both were soft and flavorful without being too saccharine. My Chocolate Toffee Cake was a real miss for me, as it was too sweet for my taste, and my Peanut Butter cookie was serviceable tasting cookie, if somewhat unremarkable. Crumbl Cookies was a fun, if somewhat pricey experience for a traditional cookie shop, but I cannot deny that I had a good time, once I got the chance to enter the hallowed walls of this cookie buying experience. May Crumbl Cookies continue to expand throughout the region with many more locations to come, as they no doubt have plans to, as I see coming soon signs popping up everywhere. They are open from early in the morning until late at night, just in case one has that sweet tooth that needs satiating at any hour because as I said before cookie time is indeed all of time! read more
