I walk in there super excited cause ive never tried crumble, I couldnt wait. The atmosphere was super off, not a single one of the employees said anything to me. I didnt know I had to use a kiosk instead of talking to one of the employees. I stood there for a moment before I realized and I started getting my order together. But after I stand there cause im confused.. you cant pay cash? Whats going on? I wait there, looking around and none of the workers say anything. Finally another customer comes in and immediately the employee talks to the other customer. Wow. I immediately left. It sucks because now, I will never go back there. Ever. I will never try crumble. Been here several times since my last review and thought it deserves an update. Overall I think these cookies are way too overhyped on social media. Most of the cookie flavors I've tried are artifical tasting, especially the ones with some type of frosting. I'll say there have been 2 cookie flavors that have been near perfect - cornbread and blueberry muffin. But the inconsistency with the flavors makes these cookies fall short. read more

Crumbl is one of those places created for the TikTok crowd. I'm opposed to food that is styled just for the sake of a photo or video, taste be damned. I dislike outrageous or gluttonous displays of food just for a social post. However, that is not the case here, despite its strong social presence. Each week, it sells 4 different colorful and creative cookies and 2 mainstays (classic sugar and milk chocolate chip). The cookies are baked and decorated on the premises; guests can order through the app or online in the store. The store is relatively new; the brand seems to be doing well as they are opening new locations monthly. I traveled to the Ann Arbor store but I later learned that there would be one closer to home, in Novi. Incidentally, I was at the Novi location for its grand opening a few weeks later. During my visit, the staff was busy decorating and boxing cookies to order. I ordered all 6 and had a bite of each to compare (the rest went into the freezer to be enjoyed at a later date): Orange Creamsicle - Soft cookie studded with white chocolate chips with a layer of vanilla cream cheese. The slight taste of orange was more pronounced when the cookie was chilled. I chose to visit this week for this cookie, alone. Therefore, I was a bit disappointed that it did not remind me of my favorite childhood treat. Confetti - Sugar cookie with sprinkles in the batter, topped with pink icing and colorful confetti. The sugar cookie tasted exactly as expected but I was more surprised that the icing tasted like "pink" icing. Can pink coloring have a flavor? The cookie was a-okay when enjoyed from the freezer. Classic Sugar - Sugar cookie with pink icing that had a different texture than the confetti cookie. The cookie was also a-okay when served chilled. Honeybun Roll - Extremely soft cookie that broke apart in my hands. The overall taste was of cinnamon-flavored cookie dough. I really enjoyed the prominent cinnamon flavors but not the uncooked tastes of cookie dough. I did not like this cookie at all. Milk Chocolate Chip - no wonder it is on the menu every week. Full of chocolate flavor, I really savored the overall taste and texture of the cookie. Buckeye Brownie - The thick peanut butter and bold chocolate flavors were incredible. I loved the look, tastes, and textures of this cookie. It was my favorite of this week's offerings. Be warned the cookies are calorie and carb bombs. They range from ~400 to ~800 calories per cookie on the week of my visit and from ~40 to ~100 carbs per cookie. A cookie is almost a day's worth of calories. Plan accordingly if you are watching those metrics. Service was average. read more

Last time when I went to the store they were busy and out of cookies. So, I tried to place curbside pickup order through the app, I got an error message saying curbside is fully booked for the day. Then, I tried to place order through phone, I could hardly hear as their phone line wasn't good. Finally went to the store and placed self order with the available options. Ordered : Blueberry Cheesecake Milk Chocolate Chip Sherbet Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Chocolate Chip was good and the rest were below average. Very disappointed with my recent visit. Crumbl is a gourmet cookie franchise that started in Utah and has over 200 locations now, and they recently opened up their first two Michigan stores, including one in Ann Arbor. Their cookie flavors rotate weekly, and they're really popular on social media. The presentation and branding are great, the cookies and packaging were super photogenic, and service in the store was friendly and polite, but I wasn't impressed with the cookies I tried. The cookies are the thick, cakey style, and I found them to be on the greasy, commercial-tasting, and very sweet side. I love that Crumbl has a rotating selection of cookies so every time you come here, you can expect to get something a bit different, if not all different. I've honestly loved every single cookie that I've gotten from them and I'm happy to see them expanding to more and more locations around Michigan. This was the first location I ever went to and was cursing myself afterwards for living too far from Ann Arbor to be able to go to this location as frequently as I wanted to given how DELICIOUS these cookies are! Crumbl Cookies also reheat SO WELL! You get a pack of 4 cookies, which is the order I would highly recommend going with so you can try a couple different flavors that they do so well, but because the cookies are so big, they're impossible to finish all within the same day, despite how much you would like to. They're excellent cookies. Overhyped for sure, so it was the teeniest bit of a letdown. The way they are raved about I literally expected to be blown away. Like I said, I was pleased but not slayed. Part of the problem is the price. These are special and the price tag over reflects that. I am a cheapskate, so in order to be eating these, even occasionally, the cookies would have to be utter perfection. Some varieties are closer to bliss than others in my book. I ordered the banana cream pie, dirt cake, ultimate peanut butter, and chilled sugar cookie. Let's start with the banana cream pie. It literally tasted like banana cream pie! Super moist. Loved that it was a like a mini pie. Next up... chilled sugar cookie. Im a sugar cookie... oh wow. I could taste the almond extract in this extraordinary cookie. Recommend, recommend, recommend if you love sugar cookies. The dirt cake was a hit with the kids. The gummy worm was so much fun. Very decant! Last up... ultimate peanut butter. I went to crumble for the Yelp Sweetest event. It is located in a strip mall in Ann Arbor. I arrived here in the afternoon. There was a line waiting outside the door as only 10 were allowed inside. When I did get in there were monitors that you can place your order on. My suggestion is to call ahead as it takes the staff some time to make cookies since it is fresh from the oven orders. You can actually see them busily putting cookies in the oven. Those who were waiting did so for at least a half hour or more. I did get my special batch of cookies but unfortunately they only had 2 types of cookies left; peanut butter and red velvet. The cookies are pretty big. I would say it is two cookies in one deal. The cookies match their name as they definitely crumble. The cookies are flavourful and you can tell that they use fresh ingredients. A nice touch was the peanut butter swirl on top. love love love cookies and I've heard about this place from a friend who went to the Rochester location. They said that the cookies were overrated but I'm here to say he was sadly mistaken because everything I ordered tasted delicious! When you first enter you'll have to order on their monitor attached to the wall, which is cool since you can select exactly what you want, the size and the quantity. The inside isn't too big, but you won't even notice once you start to smell the aroma of all the treats! Once I began ordering I wasn't sure what I even wanted, so I just picked some random cookies. I decided on one Funfetti , Banana bread, Biscoff Lava, and Chilled Sugar Cookie. In addition I picked up some peanut butter ice cream. There were people coming in picking up online orders rather quickly, and after about 3-4 minutes I received my order. Everything went fast and easy. They all tasted SO good! I think my favorite of the cookies I've tried are the Banana bread cookies, and my least favorite of the four was the funfetti, but they all tasted pretty good. I never been to this store but apparently it is a chain in other states. I have heard it from others who rave about it. I attended the Ann Arbor location after my shift due to its proximity. It has a great location in the strip mall and I like the idea of curbside pickup. The ordering system is through tablet type devices which is convenient. I picked out a 4 pack and was happy with my choices of Strawberry Shortcake, Red Velvet White Chocolate, Dirt Cake and Chilled Samoa. They are quite large and I shared them with my kids. Their 4 pack party cookie sounds like a good after late lunch idea today. Their 4 pack party box for $11 is our order. We will try their biscoff lava, s'mores brownie or molten lava or s'mores cookies. They only had the biscoff today. I also for the pumpkin chocolate chip, the regular chocolate chip as well as the frozen hot chocolate today. The biscoff lava doesn't quite look as decadent as the Yelp pics for it that made me want it. I do like the order kiosks and pay out by the counter. You can pay and minimize contact. Some of their other ones sounding interesting as well. Next time, maybe. I could tell from the first bites of the Biscoff lava cookie that this would be my favorite. I've taken several bites of it now, even after a bite or two of all the other three cookies. The regular chocolate chip cookie is pretty good as well. Has a nice exterior crunch to it in the semi sweet chocolate are plentiful throughout the whole cookie. The pumpkin chocolate chip cookie is soft and chewy, not my favorite, but a nice billowy texture to it. The frozen hot chocolate cookie is pretty tasty. It has almost a moose like frosting on top the marshmallow aloft are nice sweet accompaniment. I could only handle a few bites out of each cookie, they are a decent size for sure. What I love about Crumbl is the excitement of following them on social media to see what flavors are coming out each week. Last week there was a cornbread cookie, but I didnt make it by to try it. Too weird not to pass up. My favorite so far has been the pumpkin roll because it's the perfect flavor and sugar ratio. The cream cheese icing wasn't overdone, and I loved the cinnamon crunch. The downside is that you can't get the smaller cookies unless you have a catering order and the large cookies with toppings are usually just too much. I really wanted to like the churro cookie, but it, like many of the other cookies, was almost unenjoyable due to the amount of frosting and sweetness. We found Crumbl in PHX over Thanksgiving but by chance, on my trek to Home Goods, I spotted the only store yet open in Michigan and it is in Ann Arbor!!! OMG, I am so excited - for cookie-goodness but not for my waistline. The amazing smell of warm cookies baking is heady enough but walk through the doors and I DARE you to try to pick just one. One cookie is enough for two people, truely, but let's be real. You aren't going to share after the first bite. Pick a single, or save $2 (or $4) and get a 4-pack. In AZ, the amazing cookie in the four-pack was the Biscoff molten cookie. Now it is not in A2 this week but I am going to keep an eye out for them. You should too. You're welcome. The stellar pick this week is the sea salt caramel toffee. Sweet Geezus that cookie was gone before I realized it. The traditional chocolate chip should not be overlooked. All right, kicking this baby up a star after a second round. I got a pack of cookies and ice cream for my husband's birthday and we definitely liked this batch better than our first (and I liked the first one quite a bit!). This time we got the s'mores brownie, caramel pumpkin, muddy buddy, and their signature sugar cookie. They were all SO yummy! My fave, hands down, was the s'mores brownie. Fudgy and gooey and delicious! We also did the 4 pack of the half pints of ice cream: the churro, buckeye brownie, muddy buddy, and Biscoff. We both agreed that the Biscoff was our favorite but they were all great. The muddy buddy and buckeye brownie are both pretty similarly (chocolate + peanut butter) so I'd probably get a different one next time, just to mix up the flavor profiles. My friends know me as the Cookie Monster because I love love love cookies. So, of course, I had to check out the latest cookie joint in town! I had heard of Crumbl through friends in other states, but had no idea the delight that I was in for! The vibe is like Sprinkles Cupcakes meets Levain. The party box packaging is such a nice touch & the pink & white brand colors reminded me a bit of Sprinkles Cupcakes. But I love that the whole in-store experience is tech-ified for a seamless experience. There are 4 kiosks/tablets you can order & pay from! I came on free cookie day so it was a little crowded/not optimal social distancing. You can also get your cookies delivered via DoorDash so I may do that moving forward for safety. The cookies themselves are pretty tasty. They have 2 permanent flavors - milk choco chip & chilled sugar - as well as 4 rotating flavors. It seems like all locations nationally have the same rotating flavors. They're all served warm unless they're the chilled sugar cookie variety. I had the: *chilled sugar (A chilled sugar cookie topped with sweet almond frosting.) - this is one of the permanent flavors. It's a pretty solid sugar cookie with that buttery goodness, but if you're sensitive to or dislike almond extract, you probably will not enjoy this as much. *cookies & cream milkshake (A chilled cookies & cream cookie topped with cookies & cream frosting and a mini Oreo®) - no almond extract in this one! Solid cookies & cream flavor - same buttery goodness and nice "Crumbl"-y texture - ha get it? *pumpkin roll cookie (A warm pumpkin cookie topped with cinnamon streusel and cream cheese frosting) - nice touch that the folks squeeze the frosting detail to order! This cookie is basic pumpkin gal's dream come true. The cookie is best described as having a soft warm pumpkin cake quality to it. Delightful. *molten lava (A warm dark chocolate cookie with a gooey fudge center dusted with powdered sugar) - if you love chocolate, this delivers! I'm a dark choco kind of gal, so this was perrrrfeect! *milk chocolate chip cookie - I like my choco chip cookies a bit crunchier with bittersweet chocolate so it isn't my favorite choco chip cookie I've had but the still solid! This place was delicious, and definitely lives up to its positive Yelp reviews. My boyfriend and I are in Ann Arbor this weekend for a staycation, I wanted to get out and do something fun before the weather got cold. A few of my Yelp friends have posted about this place and our hotel is actually around the corner from it, so we stopped by today. You can do curbside pickup I believe but we went inside. The decor is very cute. You can get one cookie for about $3.50 but we opted for the box of four cookies, which is $10.99 before tax. We got a chocolate cookie, a sugar cookie with almond frosting, a Twix cookie, and a peanut butter cookie. So far my favorite is the peanut butter, it tasted like it was stuffed with real peanut butter and I saw the employees mixing real peanut butter in the back so it's possible. Literally all of the cookies are super tasty though, so you can't really go wrong. The ones we didn't order were chocolate chip, and a pumpkin chocolate chip one, I'm not usually a big pumpkin fan. Crumbl Cookies is a chain but it looks like this is the first one in Michigan. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Ann Arbor. read more

I've been dying to try this place since I found out Crumbl Cookies was coming to Ann Arbor. All I can say is... AMAZING. Incredible. Soft, delicious, melt in your mouth, wow. I got the 4 pack of s'mores brownie, muddy buddy, pumpkin cheesecake, and chilled sugar. They were all amazing and when you order them from the store they are all warm! Except the chilled sugar cookie which was served cold and was my absolute favorite. The cookies were so soft, rich, sweet, and huge!! They only had 6 cookies to sell which was a little bit of a let down since I wanted to see a more variety but to my surprise every cookie I tried I liked. Oh and I had my leftover cookies for breakfast today and wow they were even better the next day. I'm not even joking. This particular location is very hands off, and would rather you order yourself using one of the two touchscreens on the wall, or the two touchscreens on the counter. Not cash friendly.
