We arrived around lunchtime, and apparently the chef had stepped out, so we ended up waiting about 20 minutes for the food. The locals came by to order: An old guy had an apple fritter. A couple kids biking to their first day at school had cinnamon bar and a Dr. Pepper, and a rainbow sprinkle and a Sprite. Another man had a dozen mixed. I had a chocolate peanut donut and a medium coffee for under 5 bucks. Templeton has a genuine small town feel: a sleepy Main Street (in another era Highway 101), a central park with a bandstand, quiet at night, and no streetlights. This shop is in a barn-like structure with 3 tables inside and some tables on the lawn outside, as opposed to a strip mall. (But there's a NRA sign on the lawn. Hmm. It is cowboy country.) A nice stop on the way home from a camping trip.
