This is the one the casheir said is a must try. At first it seemed like a strange idea, but Then I thought of cheese fries. The potatoes are chopped into tiny pieces and appears to be mixed with the batter. It was so good. The potatoes were light and crispy, and the cheese was melted and gooey. I accompanied the Potatoe Mozz with jalapeño ranch, and garlic parmesen dipping sauces. This is the way to try it , I highly recommend. They have house made lemonades, and refreshers, so I went with the Blue Rasberry lemonade, and it was so good. Hubby and I noticed that this place opened for business a short time ago and was intrigued in the "Korean Hot Dog" title. Hmmm, let's go check it out! Walking into the open and spacious store, we were greeted by the staff and were explained how this works. There were no tables or chairs indicating that you were not able to relax and dine-in. That was ok for us, as we planned on bringing the food home. The menu was fairly simple, needing little explanation (except what the heck is the SquidInk HotDog?!) and easy to narrow down. We ordered 2 Original HotDogs, a Cheddar HotDog, a Potato HotDog and a SquidInk HotDog (of course hubby had to be the adventurous one and try it, after the cashier explained that it was made with squids ink). Getting home, the dogs were still very warm in their trays and paper bags and the condiments we took home were plentiful. Seeing how firm the crunchy outer shell was, I decided it best to eat with a knife and fork, best for dipping in my cup of garlic/parmesan condiment. The deep fried outer shell was satisfyingly crunchy yet easily yielded to the bite. The shell did not peel or flake off and stayed adhered to the beef/pork mix hot dog. I found that leaning over to bite into the hot dog, I certainly need to lean over my plate, as the crumblies were winding up on the table and my lap. The Original HotDog was good, but I am glad I had the server dust my dog with the honey butter shaker seasoning before we left the store. I definitely got the slight sweet hint of honey in the background. Very nice! Hubby enjoyed his Potato, SquidInk and Cheddar dogs and didn't say a word until all three were gone! We think that overall this was a great trip to explore what Korean HotDog was about and felt we had a good value and good food for our money. We will certainly be returning back here. Well, there was a line but it went down pretty quick. The staff were helpful and friendly. It's just that the guy who took my order wasn't too upbeat like the rest. I ordered the original with ketchup and honey mustard. It was really good and the crunch of the breading was perfect. I will say, next time I'm definitely getting the all beef hot dog. The price is the same the taste is the same as the one located in Spring Mountain.
