This was my first time dining at this location and I was really happy to see it's located closer to where I live. You can't miss this spot due to its vibrant and eclectic decor, which is also presented throughout the whole restaurant. It's very spacious with a good amount of indoor seating, so finding a table was not an issue. The cashier was friendly, the establishment was clean and the graffiti decor was visually appealing. I noticed that every location seems to take quite a while for the food to come out, so I wasn't surprised about the long wait. I ordered my usual which is the Dave's #3: 1 tender & 1 slider w/ fries (medium) and my husband ordered Dave's #1: 2 tenders w/ fries (medium) and a side of their mac & cheese. Every time we come here, I always ask for extra Dave's sauce and honey on the side. I don't know if they were having an off day at this location, but our chicken was over-cooked. The flavor was good, but it was a bit crispy and dry. On the other hand, the fries were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The mac n cheese was creamy, cheesy, and very tasty. The slider, which has fresh kale slaw and crisp pickles was absolutely delicious, especially when you drizzle the honey on top of it. It's the main reason I keep coming back for more.
A family member has been dying to try this spot for a while now. Ordered the hot chicken meal with a slider and chicken strip. When I say hot that chicken was so hot I had a ring of fire around my mouth lol. The strawberry lemonade is weak! No flavor at all, it is $3.99 with no refills. If I tried again I would probably get a mild.
This location is easily accessible right off of rainbow and fairly new. I came into specifically try their Slusher, which is basically their version of a slushy. I did like the icy texture of it, but there was nothing different or special about it. I wouldn't see how this combination with spicy fried chicken sandwich would go well with this icy, but I think that they wanted to expand and give options to people other than the regular fountain soda.
Dave's hot chicken is really good. Love the decor inside has a fun vibe. Sandwiches are good the bread is nice and soft. I do have to say there vanilla fruity pebble shake is a must for a late night snack when you don't want to drive, door dash delivers.

We ordered two tenders in mild and medium, which came with fries, two slices of bread, pickles, sauce packets, and honey. I was hoping the medium would pack more of a kick. Personally, it wasn't spicy at all for me, but your mileage may vary. The chicken had a perfect crunch without being overly breaded (try it with the honey, it's a great combo), and the fries were impressively crispy. I wish they were seasoned a bit more, but they paired well with the sauce provided. Compared to other spots like Howlin' Ray's, I appreciated that the complimentary bread here was soft, slightly sweet, and complemented the chicken. Overall, a solid first experience, and I'd come back to try the spicier levels next time!

I love Dave's hot chicken!!! Omg this place is so good! Their chicken strips are massive and fresh! The sandwiches are incredible, paired with some toast & pickles! The ranch is really good which I'm picky about, so I was stoked on that so I could drench my chicken in it. Lol! Their Mac n cheese is really good too. The only hiccup which happened twice was that the website didn't work when I ordered & paid. When I showed up there was no record of my order so I had to reorder and pay in the store. This happened both times I've tried this location, hopefully that gets fixed. The wait can be long because this place is in high demand but that's ok! It's worth the wait!
Finally got to try Dave's Hot Chicken in the SW! Still remember when this location was a 7-11 off Rainbow by the I-215, but it is redesigned now. There's plenty of parking out front and the inside is a nice open space with multiple tables for dining. We walked in on a weekday and placed order for dinner. There was a short wait for the food, but we got drinks from the soda machine while waiting. They also gave us sauces when the food came hot sauce, ketchup, honey, and Dave's sauce. Made my own drink iced tea and lemonade. Our order was called and the food was hot and fries were crispy. The portion of my chicken on slider in my opinion is small, if you hungry you may need 2 sliders or extra tenders. I liked the pickles and slaw. I couldn't really taste much spice so I adjusted with some hot sauce. Next time I may try the medium/hot. Overall, had a good experience and staff was friendly and I enjoyed my meal!
Honestly this place was really good. I got a good amount of food for a good price. The quality was really good too, I loved every bite. Fast service, wasn't too busy. Only complaint is that you have to buy a drink separate and it's not part of the meal. Otherwise very worth it.
This was my first time at this location, and I have to say, this was the best experience I've had at any Dave's Hot Chicken! We were hesitant to go late at night because we always end up disappointed in the half-a$$ food and bad service we receive. But wow, I'm so happy we went! We walked in and were greeted so pleasantly by SHARLEE. She had such an amazing personality and was really helpful. I believe it was the manager we talked to as well who was super nice! The place itself has such a cool vibe and it is very clean inside. As for the food, it was literally some of the best fried chicken I have ever had! It was fresh, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. We got our chicken flavored Hot! Ohhh and the fries were cooked to perfection and had so much seasoning on them ! I couldn't quit eating them. I will 100% be back to this location. Between the delicious food and great service, my expectations were exceeded! Update: We have been back 3 more times and the food still holds up! Can't wait to come back more (:
The service was good - we got our food quickly and they offered extra sauces. The food was fresh and we loved the medium sauce, while the mild was perfect for my daughter. The space is clean and spacious. We loved admiring the mural while waiting for our food. Only thing that was a bummer was the the soda machine ran out of flavor or something because it tasted like sparkling water.
It is our new go to restaurant for chicken, especially the newest one that opened up. The staff were courteous, and the restaurant is very clean and tidy. If you haven't tried it, you have to go.
Great customer service and relatively decent serve time, especially considering the fact that there were several orders prior to mine. Plus I was informed that the food is made to order. The restaurant is new with a very clean dining area with awesome decor throughout and the food was tasty and perfectly made. A definite five out of five.

Very impressive food! I stopped by this Dave's Hot Chicken as a first time customer. I'm not quite sure what I expected, but I guess I assumed something like a Popeyes or KFC. But boy oh boy was I wrong! This place has character and the food to back it up! The entire restaurant looks like a street artist lives here, and the vibes are chill. It was also kept sparkling clean! I loved being able to order from the kiosk. My order took a little longer than I expected to be made, but my guess is that they were making it super fresh, because the food was amazing! Fresh... hot... full of flavor... and even great presentation! I know I'll be back because now it's one of the places my son asks to go back to all the time. Worth the visit!! read more
It felt like it was 100 degrees inside! What happened to the A/C? Poor Lillian looked so hot, but she was still extremely friendly and helpful. My daughter was craving Dave's Hot Chicken, so we stopped by today, 8/18, at 4:06 p.m. I almost decided to take our food to go because it was way too hot inside literally unbearable to sit and eat comfortably. I can't even imagine how miserable it must be for the employees cooking in the back. Please get the A/C fixed for both your customers and staff! Also it's 4:30 and I'm still waiting for the two items with barely anyone in the store.... read more
Solid fried chicken place. I got the slider with fries with mild spice. I like you can choose and customize it in that sense. The sandwich has some pickles and coleslaw however, I would've liked to have some lettuce in addition for added crunch and greens. The special sauce is a perfect addition and loved the riveted fries. Could be a wait if there's a line during work hours, but they are generally efficient with keeping things flowing. I thought, hey, maybe Dave's Hot Chicken just had an off day last time. Nope -- turns out "off day" is their permanent business model. They managed to completely lose my order, then made me wait over 30 minutes for... wait for it... a small top-loaded fries. Impressive, really -- it takes real talent to mess up something that simple. When I told the manager, she reacted with all the enthusiasm of a houseplant. No apology, no urgency, just that "why are you talking to me?" look. Gold-star leadership right there. Oh, and here's a fun bonus -- check the tip amount before you hit pay. When I tipped 10% for a fast food order, it magically charged me 20%. Happened twice. I don't know if that's illegal, but I cancelled it and entered my tip manually both times. Nothing says "customer appreciation" like trying to quietly double your tip without telling you. The girl at the counter was great, but the kitchen? That's a whole different comedy show. Back there it's like a live-action sitcom where nobody knows their lines, and the joke is always on the customer. This location isn't just bad -- it's a masterclass in how not to run a restaurant. If mediocrity had an address, it'd be right here. read more

First I will start by saying the food here is great! Fresh, hot, and crispy chicken! Cooked to perfection. The staff at the front desk, also a very nice guy! Only problem I ran into was with the ordering. I had a gift card, and ordered on the app for pickup. Once the order was placed, I got a confirmation number and pickup time on the app, as well as a confirmation email with the same information and confirming the charge to the gift card. I drove to the restaurant and waited for the confirmed pick up time. Once I walked in, there is a cool feature they have on a screen that lets you know what orders are being prepared, and which orders are ready. I noticed a few names on the "online orders" portion, but none of them were mine. I waited in line to see what was going on, and as I was waiting in line, I got a cancelation email (20 mins after ordering) saying my order didn't go through. I ordered the food around 6:40, my pick up time was 7, and got a cancelation email at 7:02 saying my order never went through. When I let the employee at the front know, he didn't know what happened. I then re ordered the food, and charged it to the same gift card. Which was fine, but now I had to wait an additional 20 mins for the food to be ready when I should have been able to grab the order and go home. I understand this may not be the store's fault, and probably their system/app. Either way, this needs to be fixed so this doesn't happen to others waiting to pick up food. Other than that, the store is very nice, with great food and good music! read more
What a beautiful building-- am I right???!!!! Came here as a late night, "f*ck it, why not!" I've driven by this building so many times and finally this time the OPEN sign was up! I just want to give props to those involved in the vision of this business and this unit in specific! I love the vibe and all the colorful details that brought this idea together-- Really amazing space! Seems to draw a young crowd of course. A bunch of kids in there so we took it to go! It was pretty busy but the lines moved quick, so no biggie! I got tenders & sliders (something different) I loved their chicken but those sliders were just OK The first bite I got was mostly breading. Chicken pieces were too small. I'd prefer a nugget and a bigger bun. These were not sliders. They were basically bite size sliders or micro sliders. Lol Def more of a kids meal than anything... I still ate it all of course! And I got my meal with fries, which were seasoned and crispy which I lovedddd They also do slushies here, which was a nice touch But no Sugar Free options so I opted out Ps - Their HOT is not regular hot... be careful! If you like spice get Medium If you love spicy get Hot If you're a gringo definitely get regular If you're unsure just get Medium That's the best bet in my opinion! But in case you get kicked in the butt by the spice in your mouth... The pickles can help cool you down! I'd definitely come back again, but I would get something else next time read more

Finally opened up in the Southwest! If you've been to Dave's before then you already know this place is fire! Soft opening today so they didn't have the cauliflower but I got the Dave's #1 and it hit just as good as always! Crispy seasoned crinkle fries,the fat pickles and some bread to hold the tender in so your fingers don't get dirty. I usually get the HOT which is a perfect balance of flavor and spice level! I have a pretty consistent rule that even if I like your food, if you do something that causes me to say, "I won't be back!", you get the lowest rating I can give you because it doesn't get worse than completely losing someone's business and leaving them annoyed enough to write about it. This happened for me today at Dave's Hot Chicken. I have liked their food since my first visit several years ago. I visit probably once a month and I have recommended them to friends. In the currently oversaturated world of chicken strips and sandwiches, there are now many choices. Here is a list of places that have never charged me anything for extra sauce: Chick-fil-a, Super Chix, Zaxby's & even the overpriced Crack Shack. I'm fairly certain that I haven't been charged at Houston's or Hattie B's but it's been a while so I'm not certain. I hadn't been charged at Dave's, even the airport location until today. They charged my $.75 for an extra packet of Dave's sauce. A packet, not even a cup. I dip my fries in it as well and actually like it, unlike that nasty stuff that Raising Caine's has. $.75 for one packet. Like I said, I like their food but they managed to hit their tipping point. Soft opening today. Dropped in to get tenders deal -- 2 tenders, fries, 2 slices of white bread. Also comes with Dave's sauce and ketchup. Slightly crispy and not too spicy for me (medium). White chicken meat was tender and juicy, decent sized. $11.99 is an okay deal, would be great if they included a drink. Big open indoor dining space with plenty of seating. Tomorrow is the official grand opening. They are giving away free rubber chickens... if you're into that. read more

Not worth the hype. The amount of chicken that came with the 10 piece and fries was atrocious. The food is very basic especially the mac n cheese. Could not tell the difference between mild and medium spice level. The items are over priced for the quality that customers receive. The only bright spot are the staff and the cleanliness of the business. read more

First time here. We got the 2 Chicken slider meal and the 4 mini slider meal. The chicken was good and thick. The extra hot is hot... just so you are aware. The mini sliders are 1/2 a Hawaiian roll and the chicken is a meaty popcorn chicken. The sliders are actual sandwich size. The only downfall.. They are heavy handed in the salt. The fries had a ton of salt and the pickles were extra salty. Other than that, all in all the meal was good. The place is really bright with a lot of graffiti art. Not bad for what use to be a 7eleven. read more

You could not tell the line was long because the staff kept it moving fast and did it with composure. Never once appearing stressed out Zavier was pleasant and crazy friendly. The vegas spin that they put on this particular Dave's is also really cool! read more

Pros: chicken is good. Medium spice was perfect if you want a kick but not over powering. Fries are good. Cool atmosphere with decent music. Cons: spent $48.56 for 3 people and all drank water. Not by choice.. Soda machine was out. Don't like that the meals don't come with drinks. They should also carry ranch since they offer spicy chicken. Waited 20 minutes for our order but I understood that part since they just opened. Overall would probably come back. read more
