So i was on Yelp looking for a place to have lunch and i came across this place. Ive heard of it before and i had heard that it was really good so i decided to give it a try. My first impression was that it looked really nice inside and very friendly workers. I ordered a good ol fashion pepperoni pizza. Now it was really delicious and the crust was legendary. A friend from Modesto recommended this restaurant & I finally went today with my neighbor girlfriend. The pizza-by-the-slice choices were mouthwatering in the bakery cases. We also had the option of ordering whole pizzas from the menu. We each decided on a slice and split one of their gourmet salads. It was sunny enough to sit outside with a heater to take the chill off. Let me cut to the chase! Our pizzas were phenomenally delicious and the ample-for-two salad with the chili lime dressing divine! We agreed the best dressing we've ever had! The owner served us graciously. We were so satisfied that we will definitely return! Worth the drive.BTW, make sure to try one of their baked goods too (we each had a cookie). read more

Thank you sooooooo much for making Zack and Tiffany's proposal for their engagement to be married such a memorable occasion. The management and staff went above and beyond what we expected on such short notice. Tiffany said "this was the best day of her life". Zack said "it was perfect" and they had so much fun getting to know all of the mgmt/staff. They treated us like family and every time I go to the crust and crumb they are so friendly. Zack and Tiffany will always remember this special day. It is much appreciated and if you have a special occasion you want to celebrate I would highly recommend the Crust & Crumb. This restaurant is awesome! We went today with a party of 20 (including kids) and had an awesome lunch with some of the best pizza I've ever had, craft beer and a delicious (on the house) coffee cake. The servers were all so friendly and attentive - and we were definitely a challenging crowd. Great salads and sandwiches too -- all with a lot of character and local flair. read more

I really want to like this place, but I am struggling to give this place more than 2 stars. Before you eat here, please know that when you order a pizza, they are not very big and they are WAY over priced for what you get. The pizzas are okay, but for what you get and the experience at the place, I would go somewhere else. If you order a pizza to go, expect it to be soggy (mine are always soggy and this doesn't happen at other pizza places in town). Salads are okay, but again, WAY over priced and not big portions. They are a "bakery" too, so at least when someone orders something to go, throw in a cookie...try to sell yourself a little. The kicker with this place are the employees and service. They can be nice, but they are absolutely clueless (like a deer in headlights). If you want to add any topping to a pizza, it's like you've asked them to split the atom. If you get a gift certificate here, be warned...they DO NOT cover the tax (that's on you). If you're looking for overly priced small portioned pizza/food, with slightly dim employees and you have cash, this is your place. I am normally very pleased with this establishment but recently had an awful experience. I ordered a house salad to go, the salad comes with feta cheese. A large piece of feta was particularly discolored with grey and black spots indicating mold. I took my salad back hoping that it would be replaced with better quality ingredients. When I showed the server the salad she quickly told me that it was not mold just herbs from the chicken. I believe this to be untrue due to the fact that the herbs were not grey and the other pieces of feta were not discolored. She proceeded to tell me it was just herbs and took my salad to the chef where he also ignored my complaint. Then the server stuck a fork in my salad to pick out the cheese, dropped the cheese on the counter, picked it back up while squeezing it in her hand and telling me "No, it's not mold". Neither employee apologized for the inconvenience nor offered to replace my salad should I have wanted a new one. I am disappointed in the quality of customer service during this experience and the inconsistent quality of their meals. read more
