Very unhappy with my recent experience. We got charged double what we should have because they had a Mothers Day special but couldn't do anything about it because we said no to a receipt. We asked 3 times if the French toast was able to be unlimited due to how busy it was and they got annoyed and told us it would be. we wait 50 minutes for a refill and finally ask the girl who took our order how much longer and she said they didn't have enough to give us a refill. Kneaders quality has definitely gone down in the past 5+ years. Surprisingly this location was empty during Saturday brunch time...maybe for a good reason? Overall the breakfast croissant sandwich I got was good but I could've gotten a McDonald's breakfast and felt more satisfied. Also my order took so long and there were at least 5 people working at the same time....and it wasn't busy. The mini raspberry tart was pretty good though and a fair price. My BBQ chips are stale and it could be that I GOT SERVED EXPIRED BBQ chips...dated Jan 17, 2023 - today is Feb 8. Sandwich was dry and a big hot mess in the plastic box it came in - so reassemble and get mayo at home to fix. At this point I'm wondering why I just paid $32 for two subpar lunches? God I love Kneaders! This review encompasses two visits here over the course of a week. You really can't go wrong with anything here. First visit I got the ham, egg, and cheese croissant and their yummy orange rolls. I love their croissants so much. They always come out so hot, the croissants are always so soft and buttery, the egg is always cooked just right and the cheese and ham blends everything together for the perfect breakfast sandwich. I could eat one of these every morning! The orange rolls had a really good flavor, basically a cinnamon roll with an orange icing but definitely a winner and worth trying! Just know when it comes to the orange rolls, you have to order either 6 or 12, you can't order just one! A few days later I went back and tried the chicken pesto panini as well as a citrus poppy muffin top. The panini was so delicious. Juicy chicken pieces with the pesto and tomato and onions went so well together. The crispy cooked bread holding it all together. Ahhh I loved it. And the muffin top!!! Get one! Such a yummy sweet treat. I can't think of anything negative to say about Kneaders. They always provide the highest quality sandwiches and treats and everything tastes so fresh and wonderful. 11/10 it's always a good time to eat here. read more

I usually enjoy Kneaders but their portion sizes are confusing. A few weeks ago I went and got a half turkey sandwich and it was a perfect portion. Today I went and got the same thing again, but it was a lot smaller. They gave me the end of the sourdough bread which is confusing because they sell the end of their bread in bags. I enjoy Kneaders! This is one of our go to places for work. I typically get their TBA (turkey bacon avocado) but saw the Muenster cheese melt and it looked good so I decided to switch it up when I went last. Yeah, sooo NOT worth $10!!! I def won't buy that again. Why spend $10 on 3 pieces of bread and some cheese when I could've spent that on the TBA which has chicken and avocado and other stuff which would make more sense for the sandwich to be $10. Went with a group of friends for the bottomless French toast. I ordered, ate my food, and went for more. They told me they were not giving refills for the French toast because they were too busy. Go to Magleby's down the road instead of you want unlimited French toast. If they said this before we paid, or offered something else it would be fine. I had a really bad experience there this morning. I ordered a breakfast croissant sandwich and mocha. It took an amazingly long time for the sandwich to arrive, and the server said that my mocha would arrive shortly. It never did. My sandwich got cold while I was waiting for the mocha. After waiting a very long time, I noticed that people who had arrived after me were being served. It seems as though the restaurant is prioritizing large college student groups who come in to order the all you can eat French toast. I left without touching my cold sandwich and without ever receiving my mocha. Went to the bagel place in the same shopping center and had an excellent hot bagel sandwich and a really good mocha which was served promptly. I'll never go to this Kneaders again. read more

Food is always great. Service is terrible due to understaffing. We visited this location several times for breakfast and sadly, each time we wonder why we even bother anymore! It's not worth the wait. Expect to wait a half hour for your food and if you get their delicious bottomless French toast be prepared to wait at the counter for an additional 20+ min. The staff are running around trying to complete orders but it's impossible for them to keep up. The owners need to hire at least twice as many staff! read more

There's something about the mayonnaise that they use that sets it apart from all the other sandwich cafes. Like always, the vegetables were fresh, and the bread was nice and fluffy. I also got a fudge brownie this time and felt that it tasted more like straight up fudge than an actual brownie. Could be good if you're into that. Also, the way they handled COVID-19 was less than ideal. Social distancing was not enforced at all and people were nearly back to front in line. Kneaders has some delicious items that really stand out. First, if you haven't tried the all you can eat French Toast, you are missing out. It's thick slices and swirls if cinnamon are what breakfast dreams are made of. I only wish they served it all day! The buttermilk syrup that they serve with it is also incredible. I'd drink it straight if I could! The raspberry cream cheese pie is one of my favorite slices of pie ever. I'm not a huge pie person, so it's a big deal for me to actually enjoy a piece. Occasionally they make the raspberry cream cheese pie on an Oreo crust which is an even better treat than the original version with a regular crust. Perhaps my favorite menu item at Kneaders and the food that keeps me coming back week after week in the summer is their Frozen Hot Chocolate. They have a European version or a Mexican spice version. The European is my favorite. So refreshing but with great chocolate flavor. It's just a little bit icy which keeps it cool and refreshing while adding a little texture to each sip. But it's not so icy that it gets watery. It's just practically perfect! Get a frozen hot chocolate...thank me later! read more

We have been going to Kneaders for years and have always had great service and enjoyed delicious food selections. During COVID-19, we have taken advantage of their curbside pick-up using the app to order and pay so we have no contact. We have also used a curbside drop off with our children and their families when we have purchased them lunch or dinner. We stop in front of their home and place the food on the steps before calling them to come outside and pick up the order. We love seeing them from the car, keeping our social distance and wearing our masks to protect them and ourselves. Yesterday, we placed a larger order for our oldest son and his family (wife and two children). We picked up the order and drove to our son's home and did a drop off as we have done in the past. Our son was waiting outside for us so we dropped off the order, waved, and left. We didn't have a chance to talk to them about the lunch until today. During our visit on the phone, we discovered that there were several items missing from the order so I checked my email receipt to verify what had been ordered and paid for yesterday. Sure enough, Kneaders had forgotten to include four large cookies (they are really tasty by the way) and a cheese melt sandwich. I called the Kneaders in north Provo, located on Edgewood Road at the Riverwoods, and talked to Ali. She cheerfully apologized and gave me several options to correct the mistake. I immediately called my son and he chose the first option-- pick up the remaining order today. When I called back to indicate the option he preferred, Ali offered to add a sandwich to the order because of the inconvenience we had experienced. I told her that that was not necessary as I should have checked the order before I drove away from their store yesterday. However, she insisted so ordered the famous French Dip--my son's favorite Kneaders sandwich. Shortly thereafter, my son sent a photo of his two amazing children enjoying the Café Provolone Muenster Cheese Melt and of course, the four large cookies. My son and his wife enjoyed the French Dip! If you live in Utah county and are over the age of 65, chances are this is your favorite restaurant. I don't know why, but old people really like this place. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I just think that kind of helps to explain the vibe here. This is a safe and average 3 star soup and salad restaurant and bakery. The food here is good I guess. I don't really have any complaints, but also nothing really stands out as a must-have. (Ok actually the all-you-can-eat French toast for breakfast is pretty awesome, but I feel that is an outlier.) This particular location has a drive thru which is super convenient. Except the drive thru takes forever so that actually makes it inconvenient. I get that this isn't a fast food drive thru, but it definitely takes longer to go through the drive thru than to just run inside. One big complaint I have is the way the menu is set up. They don't explain what comes with any of the food options, so it almost feels like a little bit of a crap shoot when picking something off the menu-- you just have to pray you picked something good. My server was not helpful in explaining the options to me which made it a double whammy. Overall, this place is ok. I would never go out of my way to pick this place myself, but will most likely be back the next time my grandma asks me to pick up some lunch for her again. read more

It's been over a year since I've gone to kneaders. I remember the first time I went and how impressed I was with the end-less French toast and fresh squeezed OJ. The decor at this location is nice, rustic and homie. Fridays morning was not crowded at all. The pricing for endless French toast with eggs, OJ and coffee was $12. The fruit and syrup that comes with it is yummy and distinct. However, the French toast didn't taste as good as I remember it. It tasted bland and bready. Today we went to Kneaders we got a kids meal and broccoli soup. The kids meal was so delicious and it came with a nice sized drink cup. I may have been able to drink it in one gulp but that's no big deal, Because I could fill up as many times as I want with free refills. For me, Kneaders is almost always a 5-star experience. Yes, the drive-through can take a really long time. I feel that's a price you pay for quality that isn't factory-made/assembly line produced. And it's a little more money than other fast food restaurants because it is one goinkjillion times better than fast food. Of course, my last visit to Kneaders was no different. SPOILER ALERT: they got 5 stars from me. My go-to at Kneaders is their French toast for breakfast. That has to be one of my all-time favorite foods, but today it was lunch on a rainy day so I was feeling something savory and hot. I went for the French dip (I promise I also eat foods that don't start with the word "French"). My wife got the broccoli soup bread bowl and, I'm not 100% sure of it's name, but we got a type of raspberry, cream cheese pie. The food was all delicious. The au jus was hot and perfectly salty. The entire French dip was really just exactly what you hope for when you get one. The broccoli soup in the sourdough bread bowl was representin'! And the raspberry, cream cheese pie was tart, sweet, and creamy. All in all, great food, good service, nice atmosphere. Bonus, there's a fireplace at this location that makes it feel cozy and warm. 10/10 will try again. read more

This isn't my favorite place, but they do have great soup, salad and sandwich options. The turkey bacon avocado sandwich is their most popular sandwich and it is really yummy-- however, I would suggest asking them to go light on the honey mustard sauce because it can be a bit too much. My sister and grandma both got the tortilla soup with bread and loved it. This is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3- I had lunch with my grandma last week and all she wanted was the tortilla soup from here and she loved it and we had a great lunch together. That's what food is about for me. So even if it's not my favorite food ever, I will gladly pay for more wonderful experiences like that one. When I lived closer, I used to order their pecan pie for every Thanksgiving and it's always so delicious and I never had an issue with my order. Their breakfast is good too, but it can get crowded quickly and service can slow. Speaking of slow service-- do NOT go through their drive-thru if you are in a hurry because it is the slowest drive-thru I've ever been too. This is how the customer service goes at Kneaders: 1. While waiting in line you see a brownie, cookie, slice of cheesecake, etc. in the counter displays that look appetizing. 2. After waiting in line for a long time you finally get to the front and order said brownie, cookie, etc. (that is still in the case) 3. They ask for money, you give it to them, and then....they don't simply place the brownie, cookie, etc. on a plate and give it to you! No--you are told to sit and wait for a server to bring your dessert. 4. After waiting an additional 10 minutes a Kneaders employee comes up to you and says that they are out of brownies, cookies, etc. and would you like something else instead?!? What?!? You had a tray full of them when I was standing in line and now you say you're out?!? 5. You end up with some other subpar treat that you weren't intending to buy. Kneaders needs to change their SOPs ASAP. If this happened once I would chalk it up to a bad day but no--this happens 95% of the time at the 10-12 times I have been here (and other Kneaders locations) over the years. read more
