My husband and I grabbed a bag of chocolate chip cookies w sea salt flakes; cookies were delicious--buttery, soft, tasty, the perfect blend of salty and sweet. Sister store to The Laundry, CRUST is the perfect place to pick up some delicious baked goods, pastries, desserts, a coffee, etc. or if you're looking for a quick cafe-style breakfast or snack. I go to CRUST to pick up their delicious spreads - specifically the apricot gorgonzola dip - which is literally my favorite dip in the whole entire world. If you're a fan of stinky cheeses (like bleu cheese) like I am, you will be absolutely OBSESSED this dip! Their salted butter is also insane, their breads are out of this world, and don't even get me started on their cinnamon rolls! My favorite loaf is their Tri County Pepper bread - it's truly so delicious. Pair that with the apricot gorgonzola dip and FORGET ABOUT IT!!! Their cinnamon rolls?! SO GOOD! So good that they're featured in the William Sonoma catalog where you can order their cinnamon rolls. Puts every other cinnamon roll I've ever had to shame! There's something for everyone here. Delivery is a beautiful thing right now. I wanted to celebrate my friend-anniversary but we live quite far apart from each other. So I logged onto yelp to search for answers and Crust stood out as a trusted brand in the area. Luckily the delivery website was very easy to navigate and fairly priced. After typing in addresses and info, I let the driver know my friend wasn't expecting a delivery. The next day... Apparently the driver called my friend and let her know she had a surprise delivery. And everything worked out!! I had been so nervous but in the end I had a satisfied and surprised friend who said the food was delicious and it came with lots of toppings. I have been coming to crust for ages. I remember when it was just a little bakery and small sandwich shop. I am really excited to see that it is a full restaurant! Everything we had there was excellent. I tried the drinks. One was called darkness falls, the other was a Pimm's cup. The bartender was mostly a barista and admitted she had not mixed many drinks. But her drinks were really really great! She did an amazing job. Just like at the laundry, the drinks were to die for. We also had a café mocha and a fat Elvis, a banana peanut butter chocolate smoothie. They were out of this world. I also ordered a mini peanut butter and jelly doughnut. Their donuts are the most amazing donuts around! We also tried the peanut butter cookie which was amazing hot. A couple weeks ago my daughter came here on a field trip. They are very very welcoming. She came back with the most delicious sugar cookie and chocolate cake pop truffles. Everything I've ever tried here has been wonderful. I love their bread, they have an amazing chocolate cherry bread that cannot be beat. We consistently come back over and over again for the highest quality products. The cinnamon rolls are amazing. They used to have these amazing breadsticks, but I hear that they discontinued them. I wish they would bring them back at least from time to time, those breadsticks were the best ever! We happened upon Crust when trying to find a place for lunch in Fenton where we wouldn't have to wait for an hour, and I'm very happy we did. We were seated promptly outside - gorgeous day to eat outside. Tables are spaced apart outside to accommodate distancing, and from what I could see on my way through the indoor area, it looked like they had limited seating / distancing inside as well. All workers were wearing masks, and menus are accessible via QR code on their website. Now for the food - absolutely delicious! They have a great selection including several vegetarian options. If this is the "limited" menu as the website stated, then I can only imagine the full menu! I got the quiche plate and got to choose from 3 or 4 quiches. They all sounded great, but I ended up going with the spinach feta and was not disappointed. Flaky crust and fresh tasting ingredients. The potatoes and greens that came with it were tasty as well. Even better, though, was the cauliflower sandwich. That thing is incredible. I want to learn how to make it at home! The cauliflower is seasoned perfectly, and the Hammonton bread that they use for the sandwich is obviously fresh. I actually bought a loaf of the bread before I left because I want to try to make some sandwiches with it at home! They also have an attached bakery with the restaurant (where I bought the aforementioned Hammonton bread), and I would love to come back and try some of their desserts. The family went on a bike ride to Crust, only about 12 miles to enjoy a Friday Morning Breakfast together. I have a GF Daughter who ordered a smoothie and an Omelette. The rest ordered the Company Breakfast with bacon that was terrific and a little Smokey flavored. Good food and service at this local favorite. Crust offers a restaurant/cafe that is a popular lunch spot. However, crust is more known for its baked goods which are available up front. The cost for the bake goods are a little high for me but quality comes at a price. The portion sizes are also massive! The Florentine Benedict was very well made if a little bland (add pepper). I also wish the arugula salad came with a citrus based dressing as opposed to straight vinegar. The grilled cheese was decent for what it was. I am honestly shocked at the rude customer service I received from Erika (sp?) (girl with glasses, hair up in a blue wrap, bad teeth). I asked for my order to be brought out curbside because I have a cast on my leg and she immediately got a tone over the telephone. Then, when she brought it out to my vehicle, she didn't say hello, thank you, have a nice day. Just, "We were slow so I could bring this out, normally we don't." and walked away. This place deserves 20/5 stars. Unreal baked goods - all of them. There hasn't been a thing on their restaurant menu that I've tried and didn't love. I haven't been out to too many places during Covid, but I was pleasantly surprised by the experience at Crust this past Sunday. I called about an hour before we were hoping to have brunch and the friendly manager on the line set me up with a reservation no problem. When we arrived we were promptly seated in a great spot outside, not close to any other patrons. The tables were spread out and servers wore masks dutifully. The menu was accessible via the website, which I thought was a nice touch. Food arrived quickly and was ABSOLUTELY delicious. The coffee and cocktails were excellent also. After reading so much about this place and reading the reviews I thought it would be a great place to pick up some cinnamon rolls for breakfast...while waiting to pay I say the cream cheese danish and got a few of those as well. Service was excellent the rest was just blah. The cinnamon rolls were not worth the $20 I paid for 6 very dry, and nothing out of the ordinary rolls. Won't make that mistake again. Honestly, make your own where you can control the ingredients and have piping hot rolls. These were a joke. And then there was the 'cream cheese' danish....WITHOUT ANY CREAM CHEESE IN THE MIDDLE!!!!! How disappointing....my wife loves cream cheese danish but these hollowed out treats were another waste of $6.00. HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU NOT PUT CREAM CHEESE IN THE MIDDLE?????? I called and ordered a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for my 5th wedding anniversary. I honestly don't even eat frosting on cakes they are usually just too sugary and it's not my thing but I have to say that this chocolate cake was the best cake I've ever had and I mean that as a whole! Our first try at dining in was on the weekend, wow that was a 2-hour wait, apparently, people hang out, drink coffee and chat for hours - per employee. So we came back during the week. The check-in station is across from the bathrooms which were frankly stinky, like an open sewer. When we got seated 6 of us our server seemed to disappear for what felt like long periods of time during the course of our meal this happened a lot, drinks went unfilled, when she did bring the coffee back it was room temp and on its way to cold. Food took a while to come out and when it did the flavors did not live up to the hype. I had the french toast it was supposed to taste like a cinnamon roll, it did not but hey they were able to use the old bread. Sweet lord, get that wavy cake. So moist but not overpoweringly chocolate, delicious real whipped cream, yummy ganache on top. I could have eaten the whole cake... if my husband would let me! We tried the donuts too. Pretty good, but the sour cream donut was weak. The margarita donut was great if you like that salty rim, but was too strong for me. I didn't personally get to try the apple one, but I'm told it was amazing. I can't wait to get more treats! read more
