    Pain au chocolat

I went to Crust a couple years ago for brunch. I thought I did a review, but I guess not. Most recently during a very long Hospital stay downtown, my friend has been bringing me croissants from Crust. Oh my gosh, if I close my eyes, I'd swear I'm in Paris. The regular croissant is outstanding, I had it with mushroom bisque. MWAH! The butter... OMG. This morning, I'm having pain au chocolates. I'm having it my way, with a little PB&J. Also, a tall glass of ice cold milk. Absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go in the physical location again and get my hands on some of those cinnamon rolls.

We came here for the cafe for lunch during the week of thanksgiving. It was super busy, but that's understandable because they sell a lot of pies. The sandwiches were good, everyone liked it. The cafe prices are not great, but fair. Around $15-17 for a sandwich and chips. The sandwiches were good! To go we got some donuts and breads from the bakery counter. $5 for a donut and $8-10 for a loaf of bread is pretty high. The baguette we got was not very good, super hard. I'm used to a crispy crust but still soft inside French bread. This one was not soft inside at all. I thought it was baked that morning, as is usual with bakeries but I'm guessing likely not. Overall, I would try it again, but not an amazing experience.

Alright so my parents have been raving about this place for years. "You will love it more than The Laundry." "It's the BEST brunch ever." So finally they convinced me to go on Sunday morning in October. Our server was really kind, but everything else was sub par. The cinnamon roll was mid at best and my corned-beef hash was overdone, eggs and toast, cold. And very overpriced. We waited 25 minutes for a table, 45 minutes for breakfast, spent 20 minutes eating and another 15 minutes waiting for our bill. If I am going to spend that much time at a restaurant, it better be godlike perfection and Michelin star rated; it wasn't and isn't. I'm going to stick with the Laundry. I think they have the same owners or did at some point.

Really good Eggs Benedict. A little warmer upon arrival would have put it over the top

A surprise hiding in downtown Fenton. This place has an impressive bakery operation visible from the street and a nice bakery counter inside to go with their restaurant. They also lay claim to the best bakery in Michigan according to MLive.com. But we were disappointed to learn upon arrival at the host station that their pizza oven was down and therefore no pizza or bread sticks would be available. You think they might repurpose another oven? Or not. Regardless, my wife was itching for pizza and wasn't excited at going without. She and the kids all ended up having chicken tenders and fries and being satisfied. I had the Eggs Benedict which is apparently a favorite. With good reason. They were among the best version of the dish I had. Two niggling faults. I wish it was a few degrees warmer and the hollandaise a little less lemon tangy. Otherwise it was near perfect on a bed of house baked muffin. It was a busy noon time rush so we'll excuse service that bordered on slow. I consider the accolades well earned, but the prices are also nearing gold plated, so be forewarned. Still definitely worth a second trip if we're in the area.

If I could give it another star or two, I WOULD!!!! Awesome little place celebrating 13 years, and today was our first of what I'm sure will be many! Amazing "smells" as you walk in! Amazing, amazing, food, with health portions! Good sized Mimosa flights! To be fair, they aren't cheap, but they are more than worth it, when you see their size and taste the options! The best part of our whole experience was the sweet, and engaging Sydney! We had a ton of fun with her which just made our experience all the better!

I enjoy crusts restaurant side a little more than bakery side. They update the menu often and it's always hot and fresh. Would recommend for brunch during the week day if you can make it on the weekends it's packed. Not pictured but the side of potatoes and bacon are my favorite go too with a fresh cinnamon roll.

The perfect spot for breakfast. All of our food was amazing, great ambience, and friendly service. Don't forget to buy some baked goods on the way out.

The space is smaller but very welcoming and definitely feels like a local hangout spot. When you walk in, the specials board is front and center, including their Burger of the Month, which is what I ordered. Mine featured goat cheese, spinach, strawberry compote, and jalapeños. The flavor combination was unique and really worked well together, and the burger itself was juicy. Personally, I would have loved a bit more char for those crispy edges, but the flavors were definitely there. It came with rosemary fries that were thin, crispy, and generously seasoned. I added a side of hot honey for dipping, which ended up being an unexpectedly amazing combo. The restaurant has a great beer selection, plenty of TVs for sports, fun retro-style décor, and soft lighting that creates a relaxed atmosphere. Even at 9 PM, there were families with kids dining, so it feels very family-friendly rather than a late-night bar scene. Noise levels were low enough that conversation was easy, which I really appreciated. Bathrooms were also exceptionally clean. My main hesitation was pricing. A quesadilla was around $15 and my burger was $20, which pushed dinner for one person with a drink and tip to about $35. While that seems comparable to nearby spots like Boston's, it felt a bit high for casual bar-style dining. Parking is limited, but the location is convenient, just minutes from I-75 and surrounded by other restaurants. Service was amazing. We were sad immediately and she checked back often and said what her favorite thing on the menu was. Overall, good food, creative menu options, and a comfortable atmosphere. With a little refinement and maybe slightly better value, this could easily become a regular stop.

She's the best, but all of them are thought and ready to make your brunch special. I spoke to the manager to praise Ameada and he told me they are very careful with hiring. The food is fresh and made in-house. I got the lemon ricotta pancakes with lemon curd and fresh strawberries for $14 and my date had breakfast chia pudding. $14 You can't get that anywhere around here. I love their home-made, seasoned potatoes and my date likes the bacon. My son always gets the smoked salmon frittata for $17. Those prices are fair considering the quality and staff. A regular Coney place will be a few dollars cheaper but we are rarely that excited, and the choice is more limited. It is usually busy every day. I would recommend going at 10am. They are only open 7:30am until 3. Don't come after 2;30. Let the staff a chance to clean up and go home at a reasonable time.

It was really nice to be sectioned off from the rest of the restaurant and it was pretty cool to sit inside of this vault. Our server was great! He kept coming by cracking jokes and making sure that we had enough to drink. The Tilefish dish I had was okay. It was on special that night and I was expecting it to be some big showing for the market price it was listed at. The piece was pretty small, rice was mushy, and the sauce had no flavor to it really. The fish was great though, so the main part of the dish was great at least! I had multiple cocktails, one being an espresso martini which was excellent! Overall a great place though. Our waitress was what I would call professional waitstaff, with the experience and air that lets you know from the get-go that you will be taken care of. My favorite part of dinner tonight was the calamari, flash fried with banana peppers and baby squid, even though the Italian Wedding soup was very tasty. I have mixed reviews for our main dishes. While I found the lasagna layers to be too mushy, my girlfriend thought they were just right. We did, however, agree that my pasta dish (Paglia e Fieno) was too salty. Would we come back?
