Best GF pizza ever. I loved the vegetarian/DF option with beyond sausage and dairy free cheese. 3 topping and 3 finishers made an excellent pizza. Hubby lived his regular pizza crust. GF crust is excellent. Plenty of clean seating space and despite being busy with lots of take out orders they were right in it with no unreasonable waiting. All of our toppings were fresh and hubby was very impressed with the whole olives on his pizza.

While spending some downtime in The Berkshire MA area, we decided it was pizza night. Based on reviews we chose Crust in Pittsfield. The service was excellent and 5 stars, the pizza dough really light and crispy. The setting was very modern with open ceiling and decor very fitting for a pleasant environment. A good around experience, we ordered the Neo and Mushroom ‍with Truffle oil.

It was our first time in the Berkshires...staying in downtown Pittsfield at our hotel and thinking of 'za, the good stuff. There was no shortage of pizzerias around, but most of the pics looked like bland corner-store pizzas that just make you feel bloated and filled with fat and grease. The name "Crust" and their focus on the dough that they mentioned on their website made it clear that they don't simply treat dough as the necessary substrate on which to lay sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. Good dough demands attention and needs to be nurtured. They literally have a "dough room". The pizzas we ordered were of superior quality. The crust was airy, light, strong, crunchy, and flavorful. The red mushroom pizza, with its local cremini and shiitake mushrooms, and the addition of fresh basil and black truffle oil, were all --mind blown--. Nick's White Garlic pizza was another epic 'za. Don't get "meh" pizza. Treat yourself to the good stuff. You deserve it. Half of my red mushroom pizza was plenty for dinner, and I will have the other half as my "hotel breakfast" in the morning. That is 2 meals for $15. Incredible value for incredible pizza. Get some! The service was exceptional. Tonight is a Friday night and they were busy. They were treating every customer efficiently, but also like they were an important regular customer. Seating options were good too. There were plenty of high and low tables, 2-tops and larger, and they also have 3 tables in front of the place. We brought our dog so we stayed outside. 10 out of 10. Easily!

Saw people's tiktok post about this place. We got the chicken bacon ranch which is $16 for the whole pie. It was super oily but the dough itself was so crunchy it was soo good. You can also reheat it by putting it in the oven and not a microwave. I can understand why the name is crust because their crust was unforgettable. Definitely will be back here again when we visit MA again.

In the heart of Pittsfield, Massachusetts is the best pizza establishment called "CRUST" They use all fresh ingredients, organic red sauce, cauliflower crust, gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options, there is literally something for everyone! The owner really took the time to cater to his customers! You can build your own pizza, select from specialty designed pizza, salads, handcrafted dough, home made sauce & ranch! I was immediately greeted by the 2 ladies whom assisted me with the menu options, very kind and helpful. I had additional questions about the establishment and they were on top of my questions. The inside dining area is big with plenty of seating for small and large parties as well as outside seating. The establishment was clean inside and outside. They have recycling bins inside to help with the reduction of going to the landfills. A lot of the locals recommended Crust and they were right, it did not disappoint! To anyone thinking about coming to Crust, Don't think about it just go. You won't be disappointed. Cheers

THIS. PIZZA. IS. AMAZING! The name is perfect because the crust is amazing.. so is the sauce, the toppings, the cheese - everything! Crust opened rather recently, and I know they are going to thrive in the Berkshires. My favorite pizza hands down is the red mushroom. I've also tried the white mushroom, green, carne, and a build your own. All of the pizzas are tasty and the ingredients are fresh. They import the finest ingredients from around the world, along with using some local ingredients. Unlike many pizza places in the area, you don't feel gross after eating it. They're not greasy and they're not heavy. I certainly recommend going here!

What a great spot! This place is delicious! Such a fun and unique experience. My boyfriend claims it's the best pizza he's ever had! Thin crust, crispy and delicious. The ingredients were great, you could taste how fresh everything was. We got the "grandma pizza" with arugula and pancetta and the "slice of Italy" with salami and kalamata olives. The staff was friendly and the pizza amazing! We would of loved to try all of the pizzas! Definitely eat here!

Visiting the area and was looking for a good lunch place. Read reviews and decided to give Crust a try and we are so glad we did. Great ambiance , fun , casual and comfortable . Best pizza I've had in a long time. Love that the price point far " make your own " is fixed. Add as many toppings as you like... no extra charge. My husband had the Italian with fior di latte cheese, spicy soppressata and finished with red pepper flakes . While that is too spicy for me, he loved it. I chose make your own and had pepperoni, roasted garlic ( a must do if you like garlic ) red bell pepper and caramelized onion. It was incredible!! And the crust was PERFECT! Both pizzas and 2 Foxon park sodas were 34.00 which was an excellent price for the quality we received. We each could only eat 4 slices so had delicious leftovers !! We wish we lived closer but will definitely come when in this area again!!! read more

Kinda underwhelmed. After having read the reviews, we were expecting to be wowed by a flavorful pie. What we got looked great, but was kinda.....bland. I had the mushroom pie. Considering it had truffle sauce, truffle salt and truffle oil, you'd think it'd taste of truffles. You'd be wrong. I wanted to salt it, and I'm not a person who uses a lot of salt. My husband had the "Slice of Italy" pie, with hot soppresotta. Sauce was bland, no seasoning to it at all. No heat in the soppresotta. And the crust? No chew to it at all. Nothing was bad, but it wasn't particularly good. All in all a completely non-descript meal. read more

Really delicious gourmet style pizza (like not dominos) for when we're in the area and looking to get something special. The regular size is perfect for one hungry person. Staff were really nice too. The only thing I would skip is the olive oil drizzle if you got a cured meat on your pizza- it's already enough oil and EVOO finish didn't add anything except unnecessary grease. read more

Pizza was great! Took a day trip to CRUST on the advice of a coworker. They have Foxon Park soda...the best! Tried their Italian and white truffle mushroom pizzas. The manager (super great guy) asked us if we wanted cauliflower crust...we laughed and said no! Then our pizzas arrived fast and hot and the manager threw in a few slices of the cauliflower too...they were actually really tasty! Then the owner came over to chat and we told him we cannot find Foxon Park soda near our home. He sold us a case at cost! He was really cool. The place is immaculate too. A+...I will definitely stop back when I'm in western Mass!!! read more

Crust is a wonderful pizza place. It is located in a nondescript strip mall that looks like it used to be a supermarket. Now it houses multiple establishments including Crust. Everything about Crust is done right from the thin crust to the wonderful toppings to the friendly employees. Upon walking in it is simple in design and very clean. In a land of flavorful pizza, Crust stands out. It's not just the extremely amiable proprietor, Jim. Or the fact that they carry Foxon Park sodas from Connecticut; try the birch beer...no, seriously try it). It's that the pizza is good-really good. The ingredients are very high-quality, and you can taste the freshness. The pizzas are rich and delicious, yet light and clean. I purchased dinner for my family at Crust last night based on the great Yelp reviews. As per usual, Yelp didn't steer me wrong. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable (for The Birkshires). We ordered (online) several pizzas and a salad. The food was ready FAST and the flavors, amounts of toppings and presentation was ON POINT. We picked up the food and enjoyed it in our rental. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. We are foodies - my wife and children cook seriously good food all the time and when we're away from home we always look for good eats that inspire us. CRUST delivered! The crust, as advertised, was phenomenal (crisp on bottom and full of flavor). But the crust didn't steal the show- it worked in perfect consort with the generous toppings. A nice surprise were all of the finishes offered on each pie at no extra charge (basil, balsamic glaze, pesto, Reggiano, etc). The owner and staff obviously care about making great food and the customers are the beneficiaries. If you're looking for great pizza and salads, look no further- CRUST is the place to go! read more

My family is in love with this pizza. We have various food sensitivities in our house and now we finally have a place where everyone can get pizza! The regular and gf crust are delicious and we love the traditional red sauce. The white mushroom pizza was amazing and the green pizza is great too! My niece had the vegan cheese yesterday and was very pleased. It melted nicely and tasted like cheese. The meatballs are also raved about in our house. Yesterday I ordered online but didn't have a place to select my own pick up time. I called after placing my order and they were very friendly and happy to accommodate. I really wanted to love it. It's good but not amazing. Being a truffle lover, I got the White Mushroom pizza, which comes with all things truffle - mushroom truffle sauce, house roasted mushrooms, truffle parmesan cheese , black truffle oil drizzle, truffle salt & pepper. Somehow despite that ingredient list, the truffle flavor was hardly detectable (I promise I did not have a cold) and overall the pizza felt on the dry side, not very flavorful in seasonings, toppings, nor sauce. A tasty pizza for sure, just not something I would go back for. read more

Delicious dinner! I have to eat gluten free and they have 2 gluten free crust options. They were so kind to be intentional and open about their process to avoid contamination. We were so appreciative of the extra steps and communication that Nick provided, so we were able to enjoy our meal without worrying about the allergy. Delicious tasting too! Nice and crispy, flavorful cauliflower crust. We got the Grandma and Green. Both were good but grandma was our favorite! read more

Good quality pepperoni but that's about it. Vegetables were hardly cooked, and everything needed more seasoning. The "caramelized" onions were nearly raw. Crust was gummy and flat as a pancake on the edges; It's texture was worse than a nyc dollar slice. Their namesake left much to be desired. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Jim C.

After a 35 year business career spent in NYC and the Berkshires, Jim Cervone, an avid amateur chef, and proud Italian, decided to pursue his passion for food specifically pizza! Jim’s love of food began at Sunday dinners at his Italian immigrant grandparents in Astoria NY. Jim spent several years visiting acclaimed urban pizza cafes, attending trade shows, baking pizza in his home until he found what he felt was the perfect pizza crust, red sauce, cheese, and toppings. BMB sells their pizzas and flatbreads to many breweries in the Berkshires. You'll find those pizzas to be tasty, and wonder: should I still bother going to the bakery? The answer is yes, you should. Their bakes are fresh and easy to digest, and don't go stale as fast as other local bakeries'. My friend loved her almond croissant and strawberry rhubarb square. We thoroughly enjoyed our spinach & feta croissant, ham & cheese croissant, and chicken pot pie turnover. The turnover was the most successful of the bunch in terms of flaky pastry ratio. The jalapeño scone was very rich but perfect for sharing. The palmier was nice, but I wouldn't get the too-dry mini canelé again. Plenty of parking near their corner of the strip mall, and a handful of tables in the attached room. The staff member we interacted with seemed like she was having a bad day. We were still too early in our trip to pick up more baked goods, but we'll be back to try their prepared food menu, olive bread, biscotti, and local goods in the coolers.

The pizza was very a medium thickness, a good amount of sauce, perfect of amount of cheese, and cooked crispy.

I headed in that direction fully expecting to eat it there. When i got there i found all of the tables and chairs piled up! I paid for it and left. I was quite disappointed not to be able to eat it there. I sat in my newly detailed car to eat the grinder. It was absolutely delicious( but messy to eat in the car). The food is 5 star, not being able to eat it there was not a 5 star. Why not have it self-service but allow patrons to eat at one of the tables?????

I ordered a simple medium pizza with ham, bacon and mushroom. The pizza was amazing. Plenty of toppings and cooked very well. Staff was pleasantly and helpful. The location has the same feel as the pizza house in my home town that closed about 20 years ago...a great trip back in time for me. This little restaurant is a hole in the wall type of a place but it is such a great little place at…read morethe same time. This restaurant is open for only a couple of hours a day a run by one man and his pup . This pizza is homemade and the crust is really delicious. The pizza sauce was also very delicious as well and it had a special flavor to it and he says that it's his own special recipe and he will not tell anyone what it is. There are a downsides to this place though the one downside that I see is that when you buy a beverage you are buying it out of the bottle so you do not get refills you get one and done so you're actually paying more for drinks than you would in a normal restaurant where you would get refills for the sodas because it's a fountain drink. That is really the only negatives that I have about the place and the pup kind of just relaxes on the ground and you can't help but want to love them he's just adorable. If you're ever in the area you should stop in and check them out and see what you think. I believe that you'll be glad that you did. Thank you so much for listening!

We started with the marinated mushroom & sausage flatbread: one of the better items and fairly tasty with a tomato sauce base, could have used a tart element like a balsamic drizzle to wake it up a bit. My husband got the Korean bbq burger, which at $27 was honestly a bit insane and doubly so when it wasn't good. There's not a single thing that was wrong, the whole conception is an epic fail. A beef burger should not have an intense taste of soy. Sorry, harsh but true. The exorbitant price is insult to injury. The ham and cheese croquettes should never have been offered with the cinnamon sugar dusting. Another bizarre pairing that makes no sense in your mouth and adds nothing. The dijonnaise was good if a bit mild... amp up the savory flavor and put more ham in the mix with a touch more salt please. Finally, the Public Salad was a good base but needs a bit of a vinegar component to make it sing. I'd recommend red wine vinegar, just a small splash in the dressing. Overall enjoyed it and the chicken was adequately moist. Thank you for having us.

Upon arrival you pick your table with the number, grab a menu and order at the cashier where you will inform them of your table number and place your order. The first room offers some elevated window seating for some natural bright light and people watching. The second room has plenty of seats and typically where the performers play on the mini stage. The third room has more seating, bar seating, and bathrooms. Each room has its own unique design with art. The first room has the gift shop. They also have a large patio for outdoor seating and in some of that fresh mountain air The service in Dottie's is great. How it works is you pick a table and locate the number on the table, go to the cashier to tell them your table number and place your order for food and drinks (including coffee), the staff will deliver your items to the table. Everyone is so kind and helpful. I especially enjoyed Zuko. Zuko was helpful, consistently checking on the guest and ensuring everyone got their meal in a timely manner. Zuko is a great asset to Dotties. I've been to this location several times and my favorite food is the steel cut oats with a variety of toppings that include fresh fruit and nuts . I also enjoy the Burnham bagel it's an everything bagel with cream cheese, ripe tomatoes and red raw onions, perfection! I will also typically get a lavender latte or a Matcha latte with lavender. I'll definitely be back to enjoy some of their tasty menu items. Enjoy the ambience and hopefully get to see the radiant Zuko. Cheers

Wanted to keep it simple and at its core competency. Nachos were dry, luke warm and had huge strips of romaine lettuce - like salad size (there's irony coming up). 2oz soufflé cups of sour cream and jarred salsa were our only refuge. Made a huge mistake and got the steak add on. Cold, stringy steak-um type product thrown on the top in one large lump. Their smashburger is not a thin smashed patty that may come to your mind. It's a standard 6oz pre-form that they call "smash" as an excuse to put a steak weight on it and cook it beyond recognition. The brioche bun is "fake brioche." Has the outer look, but is super dry and tasteless. The irony was I ordered and paid for a side salad. It came in a tiny soup cup and in it had the shredded lettuce and pico I would expect on the nachos. Just really was hopeful. I could see a good vibe at times in there if you're under 25yrs old. Otherwise, the atmosphere offered little to off-set the meal.
