We tried Crust Pizza for the first time while in Houston for a Stros game. We found the Hedwig Village location because it was close to the hotel. Overall I was surprised. The staff was very friendly and fast. In fact our salads made it to the table before I returned from ordering and going to the beverage station. We ordered two side salads and a large Carls King or King Carl Pizza and two drinks. The pizza was thin crust but it was pretty good; even the crust. The restaurant was nice however it reminded me of a wing stop (nothing fancy) just walk in order sit and eat or take it to go. Here is the only concern. I paid more than I was expecting. The total was $38.97 for a large pizza , 2 side salads and two drinks. Maybe that is just my wrong expectation. Either way Give this place a try it is good. read more

Stopped by for that little hunger bite and got myself their tomato basil soup. Double checked to ensure the broth is vegetarian, and they triple checked it for me ..... appreciated that gesture :). The soup came in a cast iron bowl / deep dish and I was instantly convinced I came to the right place. Every single time I order tomato basil soup anywhere, by the time I am half done, its cold and I just gobble up the rest , but here since it came in this dish, I relished till the very last spoon ... yummmm Is it made in-house? Actually I do not know ! The cheesy toast that came with it was equally delicious . It was a decent meal in itself and just so perfect. Wanted to try a different pizza spot close by and this place did not disappoint. The place is very cute inside and plenty of seating if you want to dine in. We picked it up to go, the pickup was easy and quick. We wanted to do curbside but we were placed on hold so we walked in to grab it. The pizza was awesome, we got stuffed crust and we loved it. You can pick up a slice of pizza without it falling apart! The cheese was very hot, gave that classic atV pull apart vibe!! The toppings all tasted to be of higher quality! My first time visiting Crust Pizza Co., I've been wanting to try it since they moved into the Hedwig Village area, and I've heard nothing but great things. I can see myself coming here for a quick lunch if I have a teacher staff development across the street! Service was friendly and efficient. Darryl did an exceptional job not only taking my order but also delivering my food and checking in on me. For lunch, I ordered the Caesar salad and spaghetti with meatballs. The salad was a little bland. It was just a bowl of lettuce with a side of Caesar dressing and a few croutons. Not pre-mixed. I enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs a little bit more. It was delivered piping hot and very saucy, which I like. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the bowls they use make it a little difficult to eat out of. The square bowls are deep but narrow, so it's hard to mix my salad when the lettuce is spilling out of the bowl. I would recommend a different choice in bowls, or maybe already toss the salad before delivering to the customer. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and will return, but for pizza! read more

Came here for a solo lunch moment and got the Madelyn's Alfredo. I really enjoyed it. The crust was thin and crispy. The Alfredo sauce wasn't too heavy which I appreciated. Light and super flavorful and elevated the toppings quite well. I almost ate it all within one sitting but wanted to save some for later! Very spacious interior with plenty of seating. There's not much parking directly in front of the store, so you might have to park in the other lot and walk. I was so surprised they had cauliflower crust available. We had a potato pizza with no bacon and it was amazing. One of my new favorite pizzas. We like thin crust, so we ordered 2 thin crust pizzas and wings. I'm not a wings fan, but I was told they are good. I do not know the cost. I was not the one who purchased the pizza and I didn't want to be rude by asking. I was a guest, so I wasn't privy to all the details. Nestled in a new building in the memorial area, there is a lot of parking available and it is very spacious inside. I ordered a personal pizza and a drink as well as the garlic knots. The pizza I got was called the Carl's king, which had Italian sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, bell peppers, red onions, mushrooms, black olives, and mozzarella. They cut it into bite size pieces which I appreciated. They had Parmesan and chili flakes at every table, as well as some extra sauces. I tried the green garlic one and it was really good. The pizza was cheesy and I personally loved the crunch from the veggies. Overall just a nicely done combo pizza. The garlic knots came with a side of marinara sauce. Had the Hawaiian. I was concerned about getting a dry pizza without cheese but it turned out well. This was the absolute worst pizza I've ever eaten. Will all the great reviews on Yelp we were excited to finally try Crust Pizza, never had a food let down as big as this one. The pizza we received was nothing like any of the phots on Yelp as you'll see on the photo I've attached. Just about any frozen pizza from the grocery store would be much better than what Crust has to offer. I ordered the Pepperoni Supreme but the pizza (I'm embarrassed to even call this a pizza) only had 8-10 slices of pepperoni, a few slivers of mushroom, and maybe 3-4 slices of Roma Tomato. You'll also see how thin the sauce and topping on the pizza are, pathetic!!! The Greek Salad was "ok", quite small for a large salad, but the tomatoes were mushy and too over rippened, so much so I had to pick them out. After eating about half of the pizza we gave up and tossed the rest in the trash. There are too many good pizza places around to subject yourself to the rubbish being served by Crust Pizza. Spacing: Very nice, clean, welcoming, and spacious place to eat (some benches, some tables) Staff: The staff is super friendly and professional, and they gave me a tip on doing the lunch deal (Buy 2 for $12.99) instead of paying regular price for particular dishes ($10+). Dishes Ordered: The spaghetti with meatballs was much like the one I've eaten at Olive Garden, except the meat had a little burnt crunch to it (made it better), the Chicken Alfredo had tender chicken soaked in Alfredo cheese sauce, and the garlic bread was like eating a pizza bread with cheese and garlic sprinkled on top.
