After a few weeks, he suggested that I get a massage from one of the massage therapists working out of the office - umm okay! Many people suffer from pain, swelling, lumps etc. This machine works to reduce all sorts of Inflammation. From my experience, I noticed after my massage I feel swollen but within 24 to 48hrs, the swelling reduced and I saw better results as I got more massages. You can't just come once and expect a miracle... remember Rome isn't built in one day! So if you expect to see results, you have to get enough treatment package. I purchased a package of 10 sessions which ran for 35mins. I started seeing big results on my lumps and swelling with diet and exercise at session 5. Before treatment, I disclosed my medical history, including my autoimmune conditions, and trusted the provider's recommendations. After my procedure, I experienced facial asymmetry, an uneven smile, persistent swelling, lumps, pain, numbness, and what I believed was eyelid drooping following Botox. These complications caused significant emotional distress and led me to seek care from urgent care, the emergency room, and multiple medical providers. What was even more upsetting than the complications was how my concerns were handled. Instead of feeling supported, I felt dismissed. When I shared photos and explained what I was experiencing, I felt my concerns were repeatedly minimized. The owner even suggested that I had Photoshopped my own pictures rather than acknowledging what I was seeing. She also brought up unrelated personal issues, including my past relationship, and suggested my concerns were due to insecurity instead of addressing the complications I reported. I remained respectful and focused only on discussing my symptoms and the results of the procedure. I also requested my medical records. I was told to contact Dr. Medrano directly, but despite doing so, I have not received my records or a response. Being ignored after experiencing complications has only added to my frustration. This experience has cost me time, money, medical visits, and a great deal of emotional stress. However, after multiple discussions with my insurance company and numerous submitted claims, I was informed that reimbursement cannot occur without a tax ID number associated with the practice. My insurance does cover acupuncture but not for someone who does not have a tax ID. Olivia gave me the false impression that submitting my claim to insurance would not pose any issues, and had I anticipated any issues, I would not have pursued treatment with her. Additionally, there were several instances where there were oversights in treatment. Once when she forgot a needle in me and another time, she forgot to place a needle where it was needed.
