Well I read the previous reviews from 2-3 years ago, I can't speak to the service back then, I hired chuck and his team to remodel my pool and spa tile, from start to finish the job was expertly done and completed on time, in fact they went above and beyond bringing me several tile choices, his crew were always on time, friendly and Marcelino was an artist cutting and installing the tile. I was so pleased I hired them again to install stone on my 80ft wall surrounding the pool, again Marcelino expertly installed the wall, chuck the owner arrived upon completion to inspect the job. I hired Crystal Blue Pools to replace the tiles on the pool of my new home in the desert. Chuck and Marcelino and his crew did an amazing job transforming my pool. They took great care to keep everything neat and clean in my pool area. During the remodel, they discovered that my skimmer needed to be repaired and they needed to replace some cement coping. Marcelino was amazing in the way that he matched the existing coping and flawlessly smoothed the cement. I am extremely pleased with their work and plan on using them to install new pebble tech next season. We hired CBP&P to redo our aging plaster which was chipping away - it looked like the pool had measles! In addition to resurfacing the pool, we had them remove our fountain (which spilled into the pool) and our spa (which also spilled into the pool). We are switching an above ground spa to eliminate the time it took to heat a 500 gallon spa each time. We replaced our spa area with a cement deck with a fire pit at the edge of the pool. Chuck worked with us the entire time and we are very pleased with the end product. Can't wait for the summer to jump into the newly resurfaced "pebble tec" pool with all new tile edges. Chuck made suggestions we adopted before and during the process. Our gas line feeding the new fire pit was rotting away and he fixed it for us at no charge. We love our 3 waterfalls and the amazing lighting effects along with the custom made boulders on the edge of the pool. They, also put in, our patio cover, and all new stamped and stained cement, including a new driveway and walkways. Chuck transformed our typical grass backyard into a beautiful gathering place for friends and family. He came in on budget and on time. We have used this company for our rental house and they were fine, nice and quick to do the job. We were so impressed at the time that we referred them to our friends and our real estate agent. Then we hired them to build our aluminum awning in our new house. We have met with their sales person, Dan several times and all was set. Only for discovering that they did not ordered the right cover and it was going to be full instead of open..We HAD to pay extra for them to fix it but it was completed in a timely matter. And trust me timely matter means a lot in PSP as everyone takes his time. Recently we wanted to remodel our pool and again we sign with them and now begin the HELL experience We ask for a price in June, and finally decided to go with them in August. Price skyrocket of $2000. Apparently because of the plaster national price...which appeared not to be true. Then they charged me for a city permit to finally discovered they did not have one. I kindly asked them to reduce my price by removing it. When we signed in August, we told them pool has to be ready on the 15th because we had family coming in town... They emptied the water on September 21st. Nothing then happened for 6 days, then they came to demolish, then nothing for a week, then some plumbing ....then nothing, then plaster and water and cleaning and pool should be ready ..OH no they did not scheduled them... Maria at the office is the scheduler but I don't think she is capable of this as she mixed up everything .... As of today October 15th..I have a nice pool NOT fully functioning. STAY AWAY FROM THEM UNTIL THEY FIX THEIR ORGANIZATION. IT almost look like Chuck the boss is not longer in town and trying to manage his company from far.... read more

After using Home Advisors to search for a pool company to build a pool, fireplace, and patio, we received a call from Chuck at Crystal Blue Pools and Patios. He called us, stating he had got our number from Home Advisors, we did not call him. Chuck set up an appointment when HE was available, and we made it work according to his availability which caused us to rearrange our work schedules. Chuck did not show up or call, and the pool company could not explain his absence, although Chuck apparently has a phone to call us and explain if he was going to be late or not able to show up at all because he called us in the first place. Apparently, this company has a booming business and they don't need to adhere to good customer service practice fundamentals of keeping their word. We will not be using this company. read more

Wish I would've came in here first. They were great when you were making payments to them. Then towards the end I have problems with my pump and pool equipment. The spa wouldn't turn off temps reached 104. Pool guy didn't come to clean the pool. My back gate was broken for two weeks and I had to call them a few times to get it repaired. The communication is very poor. I had to remind him where we were in the process because they were calling me asking for my payment when I paid. Very pushy for their money but can't get the job right. Then I didn't know that I missed two payments until I get an email asking if some guy was paying for my pool service. Not sure who this guy is but they had my information. Then when I questioned it there was a mistake on their part. Poor book keeping and management of my account. Not to mention poor pool service. They contracted out to another company to get the job done. Happy to say we have a excellent company now that will be there to get the job done. Dan is rude! Wish I would've came here first to read the review. Would not recommend this company the owner should be aware of the people he has working for him or her. I spent lots of money building my pool with them once money is received your not treated very nicely. I have all the emails if the owners care to see it I would be happy to show you. Tom owns this place and he ripped me off. I used him 2 years ago so i wasnt expecting this. His Service drains your pool then cleans the tiles with a glass bead blaster, then he refills the pool and puts all of the start up chemicals in. Only he didnt put the chemicals in. Of course I didnt know this until I had paid him. I had to buy 120 lbs of salt and 12 lbs of conditioner at a cost of $85. (That was supposed to be included in his service.) Make no mistake, this wasnt a misunderstanding, we had discussed this prior to him coming out, and it was included. It wasalso written on the receipt I have. I left him 4-5 phone calls in 5 days, before I had to go buy the checmicals. Funny, he called me back in 5 minutes after the first call for his service! He also charged me more this year than 2 years ago. I know everyone is in hard times but there are still honest people out there. Check around and if you do use him get your pool water tested at the local pool store before you pay him. read more

He came out, provided a fair estimate complete with explanations and details of different options available. As someone who has never owned a pool before I appreciated this level of detail. After price shopping with several other pool companies in the desert and speaking with Brian (who answered all my questions thoroughly) I ended up going with my agent's recommendation and hired Crystal Blue for a complete remodel of my outdated pool and spa - installation of mini pebble plaster, salt water, new tile, new pump, filter, and heater - and also the Screenlogic capability so I can control the pool from my phone or computer. Since I live far away, I love having the ability to control the pool as I do with my other connected home appliances. I didn't have a single hiccup throughout the remodel, which was complete on time before Christmas, in time for me to enjoy it over the holidays. His team even made sure the pool heater was on so I could enjoy it immediately. They also came out to teach me how to use the mobile app while I was in town. After such a good experience I decided to go with their weekly maintenance service, which was priced reasonably and so far I am very pleased. My husband passed away this past Thanksgiving, leaving me with having to take care of everything. So that's what I've been trying to do and it's been tough without him to help me do research on companies and get estimates for work I need around my property. I spoke with a guy from this pool "company" and they screwed me. I got them from Angie's List and they came out on top. So I spoke with a guy on the phone a couple of times and then had him come over and talk about the work. It sounded like he would be okay and struck an agreement. Looking back now, I should have done more research. The only things they did correctly were the lights. But now I'm going to have to replaster my pool and re-clean the tiles they were supposed to clean. They also left bits of cement on the plaster and left the pool empty far too long and it ruined my plaster. Instead of trying to help fix the issues, they threatened me with collection.
