Mr. Kevin Ma called and explained the quotes to me and his explanations really helped me make the decision whether I should file the claim with my insurance company. I took the car in on Friday July 17th and was told the car would be ready on Friday July 24th, the latest. I was so happy when they advised me the morning of July 22nd that I could pick up the car at 4:30 that afternoon . The damages were completely fixed and the car looks like brand new. We initially brought our 2018 Mercedes E-Class in June for some scratches and dents, not fully aware that our insurance might cover these repairs. It was the shop owner who informed us that we could file a claim with our full coverage insurance, promising that he would take care of everything without needing us to pay out-of-pocket. After we filed the claim, the insurance initially approved $4,100 for repairs. Following the shop's go-ahead, we rented a car for the expected nine days, as our insurance didn't cover rentals. However, during that time, communication was virtually nonexistent. After nine days passed with no updates, we finally heard back; the shop informed us that the insurance amount wasn't sufficient and advised us to file another claim. We were in a tight spot, having already incurred rental expenses, and their offer to let us borrow a car wasn't really generous, considering the dreadful condition of the loaner (unsafe and falling apart.) The saga continued as an insurance adjuster came in, leading to an additional estimate of $6,500. By this point, the shop owner was still pushing for more claims, which escalated to our insurance declaring the car could be totaled, even though it was in excellent condition. Ultimately, what was promised as a nine-day repair turned into a 47-day nightmare filled with poor communication and frustration. Today, when we finally went to the shop to pay the remaining balance and to pick up our car, the owner refused to give us the keys to our car, despite us showing proof of payment through Zelle, including screenshots. We were left in such a distressing situation that we almost had to call the police to retrieve our car. To make matter worse, they wanted us to pay $300 for the loaner car wash. Of course we refused to pay that because that's an insane amount of money so we paid them $40 which was not deserved but we just wanted to be done and get out!!! This experience felt like a scam; the promises made were unfulfilled, and we were made to feel uncomfortable and distressed throughout. If you value integrity and honesty in your auto repairs, I urge you to stay far away from One Stop Auto Collision. They did not meet many of their commitments and left us feeling taken advantage of. A true nightmare that I wouldn't wish on anyone.
