Best service with top quality SNS dip powder ! I am so so happy to have found a good salon here that I can visit when I am in town! Can't seem to find quality salons who do actual healthy dip powder where I am at in SD but seems like they have plenty here in Washington! Crystal Nails and Spa has quality services for a good price. Services: They seem to offer most services including the SNS dipping powder (no light required)! The services I did were SNS dip powder nails and regular pedicure, along with removals of previous set. All in all I paid about 140 with tip for everything. Michelle is a top tier technician! Without even breaking a sweat,she was training a new tech who was doing my pedicure - Thi(?) I believe was her name. Michelle even did a French tip with dip which most places can never do for me bc it's a bit hard to do with just dip! I am allergic to any gel/acrylics so I haven't been able to do any design in a while and really appreciated getting a French tip :') Michelle was efficient, used an efile so it was more gentle on my nails than hand filing, and had such beautiful clean work! Thi did my pedicure and although still seemingly to be in training she did soooo well; she has the most gentle touch even with scrubbing my calluses, this may seriously be the best pedicure I have ever had. It took over two hours for a simple acrylic fill. They cut my cuticles multiple times with the dremel, they are painful the next day! I showed them what I wanted, sparky black with the under side painted. They immediately said yes they can do that no problem. My nails look awful. They did nothing to prep the bottom of the nails and it's splotchy with spots not even painted. The bottle of polish was basically empty too. My nails are all different lengths and not even smooth they are catching on things. She cracked 2 nails using the wrong tool to trim them. Only replaced one and insisted the other one visibly cracked was fine. Guess what's broken the next day?? They are so thick and not shaped correctly... I was so speechless I just paid and left. And they charged more than the website I booked with a price. I will never go back and neither should you! read more

I came to this salon on a Saturday and got a dip manicure and by Sunday 2 of my nails were chipped. I came back on Monday to have them fixed and by Wednesday the coating they put on was coming off. I came back to get them fixed at 3:30 during business hours and they're closed. I tried calling and when they call me back they say they're closed and to come back tomorrow. Having two young children it's hard enough to find time to come in let alone to do it several times because the products they using are clearly not up to par. In response to the owners reply: No, it was not $35 i was charged. I was charged more, and no I didn't tip because the service was not good. My nail tech missed spots and did not take care of my in-growns. So no, it was not worth the price charged as it was a sub par service and I was charged more than what was on the sheet that I agreed to. With an attitude like that, of blaming the customer, I should have turned around and left rather than keep my appointment, but I wanted to respect the nail tech who had to do the service. I made an appointment for a mani-pedi and waited 10 minutes after the scheduled time to be seated-- Understandable considering they were very busy, except a different customer was helped first despite arriving after me. I initially wanted ombre tips (dark blue fading into my natural color) and was informed acrylic tips were needed as my nails were too short. I was the last customer at this point and didn't want to extend the appointment so I requested the style pictured (had it done with regular polish in the past) but the manager said it had to be done with shellac-- Not a problem, it was my fault for incorrectly scheduling a manicure. I was just glad they were willing to accommodate. Smack talk was to be expected, although unjustified when the results look like this. P.s. Had to correct the technician for painting only 2/3 of a nail on three of my toes. read more

I came in to get my acrylics removed and they didn't soak them. Just yanked them off and used the electric nail file. Michelle literally put a fake nail between the acrylic and natural nail to force it off. It took her a whole two minutes to pull them off and i was just having so much anxiety, I didn't have a voice about the situation while i was there. So i let Michelle finish, paid and ran out of there. I left with thin and flimsy nails. Waking up, my nails are SO sore. I don't know why Michelle didn't soak them like every nail salon I've been to. If its cause it was 4:45 pm, maybe thats too late for them to do a soak? Maybe it takes longer for them?? I don't know. But that is not the proper way to take them off. Anyway if you like to keep your nails in healthy shape, I wouldn't come here. read more

Well where to begin? First I honestly don't write tons of reviews. But if a business is absolutely hideous OR is incredibly amazing; I do try to comment. I visited Crystal Nails today, after reading some reviews. But the positive reviews are complete polar opposite of the service I received. I went in for a full set with a soak off of my old acrylic set. The soak off went good. When Michelle asked what shape I wanted I replied, "I want them to look exactly like yours." Michelle had a perfect set of square shaped acrylic nails. Unfortunately what she gave me was not even close. They were uneven square, each with a big bump of acrylic at the tip of the nail. I paid, quite frankly, because I was beyond mortified!! I immediately found another nail salon, to have those freshly applied acrylic nails removed and a new set applied. So basically, I spent over $160 on my nails today!! Of which, $80 was spent on one of the worst set of nails I've ever had! I speak the truth, I've been wearing acrylic nails for 30+ years. I went to Crystal Nails today and had the best work done on my nails. I have been shopping around getting my nails done here and there and was usually pretty happy with the work. I booked an appointment and lucky me I got Vivian to do my nails. I ask for difficult designs and I only like the dip product. I have naturally long strong nails so the dip overlay works great as it lasts a long time. Vivian saw my picture and explained that her acrylic would work better for my ombré french nails. I had the worst experience today.. i would give ZERO stars if I could!! I went in for a fill (on my acrylics obviously) and the girl took CLIPPERS to my acrylics!! Of course I said "uhmm what are you doing?! You know I want a fill right" and she said YES but she continued to clip the rest of them, shattering most of them in the process and ruining them!! The owner Michelle FINALLY stepped in & took over after that (she didn't make anything better..) She tried to salvage them even though they were way shorter than I wanted them and at this point looked like shit!! Now At that point she SHOULDVE taken my nails off and given me a new set .. ( I mentioned it a few times!) she just started putting the powder on my screwed up nails regardless of how they looked or what I thought! A couple of them were super short and a little narrow and crooked they obviously didn't look presentable. I HAD to TELL her to take the powder off and put new tips on a couple of them so she starts picking the hard powder off the nails so she could put new tips on... She acted like she was annoyed with me! I can't believe the way she handled the situation! She knew I wasn't happy I made that very clear but I was still polite about it. When she told me she was the owner my jaw dropped!! Not to mention She was sick and coughing non stop! (Thankfully she was wearing a mask.. ) After all that She had another girl finish painting my nails and then She had the nerve to charge me $45! Definitely won't be going back!
