I began a review of this business and can't find it. So I am redoing it. Two days ago (40 hours) I went for a mani-pedi. This was the worst manicure I've ever had. First the nail tech was very rough on my feet. The file was obviously filthy and so aggressively used more skin than nail was removed on my toes. Another tech was doing the manicure at the same time. The toenails were trimmed very poorly. The finger nails were shaped OK. But I was shocked to see the polish was not brought down to the cuticle. This is a photo at 40 hours! I went back to the salon to see what the manager would say about why they left so much space on my nails that at day one it looked like a week long grow out. She said if they polished to the cuticle it would be "uneven". My cuticles are very oval and even. I told her no one ever cut the polish short like that. I will never go back to this salon. read more

I was hesitant to write a review because Lilly and Tree were wonderful, but my experience is as follows. I had an appt for pedicure and full set of Acrylics. I was greeted by Lilly ( who was very kind and professional) which she brought me back early to get me seated for my pedicure. She asked if I wanted gel, which I stated I did not, and she gave me the sample colors to choose from. The pedicure tub had a disposable liner which gave me a good feeling of cleanliness. Tree did my pedicure. She was soooo pleasant, I was certain I would be returning to this location. The work she did was wonderful, as well as her information about an upgrade for future pedicures was very informative and I was certain I would be doing in the future. After my pedicure, I was moved to Tina for my Acrylics. I sat down with her and said in a low voice to her how I have had many experiences getting Acrylics, but once I got a start of fungus under an Acrylic that wasn't sealed very well, but that particular shop painted something on my nail which resolved the issue, and does she have anything like that to prevent such an instance. She replied a bit louder to me, that she doesn't carry anything like this and she can already see I have fungus on my nail, she can see its yellow. (I would like to say I work in the medical field and am very familiar with fungus and my patients having it or not. I do not. ) Tina continued to say I have thin nails and I shouldn't be getting acrylics because I will get fungus from the Acrylics not adhering. She told me I need to get a different type of nail cause they are more natural looking and thinner. So I said how much do they cost? She told me fifty, which was more than I budgeted, but I said ok. She went to work on my nails. She told me to relax which I thought I was, and then she said my nails are flat and this is causing her difficulty. She appeared to be rushed for time, and asked what color i wanted from the samples she gave me for the different type of nail. They didn't have the one I had originally chose and wanted, when I sat down in the pedicure chair. So i chose a pink. After her telling me to relax about the fifth time, i asked her if she had the yellow color I really wanted instead of pink. She said "no, those colors are for Acrylics. Do you want Acrylics or not? " I said "can you do Acrylics even though you just started?"She said " yes. But you need to stick to one thing, you are making me take longer with all your switching around." I said " i will do the other nails if you want me too, but I wanted Acrylics in the first place." She then said stuff in her own language to Lilly and Tree. Which made me feel unsettled. She continued working on the rest of my acrylics, when a girl came in and sat down. Tina asked her if she could help her and the girl said she had a 1:30 appt. At this point it felt like I was getting a even more rushed job. Tina asked what yellow I wanted. I showed her the yellow I chose from the non gels Lilly had given me. She looked at the number and went to find it. She came back and asked if the color she had, was the color i wanted. I said " i don't think so. Does the number match? It is right here. " then she came back and said " how about this one?" At this point I realized their numbers must not be accurate, and since she was rushing to get done I said " that looks good. " then she proceeded to paint my nails and put them in a uv light. She said this was to dry quicker and make the nail color last longer. ( after googling, i suspect it was a gel color) When she was finished she said for me she would charge 70.00 ( i was shocked because I thought I had two services at 30.00 a piece) I left this place wondering what I paid the extra 10.00 for. Taxes weren't that much on 60.00. I felt so unsettled I was afraid to ask for a receipt. I also was contemplating coming back and requesting to have Lilly, or Tree do my work, since they were pleasant and relaxing. But I was so embarrassed by the work done, I wore gloves and kept my hands in my pockets till I could get my nails fixed later. I have since had them filed down to fit my nail bed, but the bumps on top of nail have to stay until next fill, or the polish will be ruined. They look better now, but still look like a press on nail. After thinking about my experience, I decided to not take another chance at this location. *A brief outline of things; 1)Prices on street do not match. 2)Was told I had fungus, but proceeded to do nail application and not sterilize. 3) was charged extra 4) rushed job and inferior workmanship to other salons I have used in the past. Please see photos. 5)complaints about nails and how difficult they were to work with, that other salons had never mentioned before. 6) condescending treatment 7) the color you choose, is not what they can find. read more

I love this place! Lyly has been my go to since i moved here from Las Vegas! The quality she does is AMAZING and prices are reasonable! Not only does she rock it out for my nails, she's my eyebrow guru! I'm EXTREMELY picky on who touches my brows but she does it all!! Totally recommend this place, she's such a perfectionist and if you've ever seen how she works and gets clients in and out... SHE'S SUPERWOMAN, she works 7 days a week to accommodate all her clients! Awkward, poor job on the nails, won't be back. I got a full acrylic set, she used SO much acrylic that my nails were crazy thick-it was awful. When she was painting them, I asked for another coat because I could see the paint was thin, and striped/could see the brush strokes. She argued with me, telling me "that your skin", when I was not asking for my skin to be painted, I just expect full coverage of color. It was weird and awkward. I was the only customer, so it's not like she was in a hurry. Never coming here again, I'll drive the extra miles to go to my favorite place, Bon Spa in Bothell. read more

Imy appt. was for 11:30 am. They put my feet in water and left me there for 40 min!! Then after they did my fill they put me under the dryer and it blew acrylic dust all over my freshly painted nails!!! The salon is not clean!! Very impressed with this salon!! Walked in a perfect time with no wait. Had a mani and a pedi. So many colors and brands to choose from! Prices were good - spot on. I had shellac nail manicure and a regular pedicure. Very clean establishment. Everyone was super nice and friendly. Plenty of parking out front. Loved Tina! I've been looking to make a change from my regular place, and I'm so glad I did! Lyly took time to explain the differences between acrylics, dip powder, shellac, etc. I decided to go with dip powder as the acrylics I had been getting were very damaging, and my last salon always made my nails too thick and long no matter. I also took their suggestion of adding a pedicure, which was very relaxing, and my toes look great as well. My nails look exactly how I asked for them to look, and they look so natural and healthy now. Right now there's a special for new customers of 15% off, and they have a "punch card" for earning future discounts. Everyone that works there is so nice and I had a great experience. i walked in and it was only me and one worker there. i showed her a picture for inspiration and she said that she didn't think that was a good idea for a design. she told me the charms i wanted would probably end up falling off. so i ended up showing her an alternative and she said i should go with it because its more popular. mind you its also $20 extra for that design. she stared pushing my cuticles back really hard and it was painful. then she began to do my nails. she started cutting the skin from my cuticles and caused me to bleed, which led her to tell me that it was going to bleed because i "have a lot of skin" she didn't try to start conversation, i had to make an effort so it wouldn't be awkward. she was extremely rough on my nails causing 3 of my fingers to bleed. when she shaped my nails it was super painful. i have never had it be this painful to get my nails done. she then put alcohol straight onto the cuts which stung horribly. she ended up charging me $60 , when on their menu it says what i asked for should only be $45. i will not be returning here again. read more

At first glance I would not have considered this place. It's a very small non-impressive looking shop next to a 7-11 and Sabor. But I haven't had a better pedicure. Lyly always took good care for me and did a wonderful job on my nails. I got a chip in my polish so I went back yesterday to ask for a quick fix . I was told they were too busy to help me ( not by Lyly or Tina) I wasn't asked to wait or come back later, so I was just sent away with no resolution. I've been a good customer and a more than fair tipper. I don't think I deserved that kind of treatment. So I won't be back. So the low rating sadly reflects the poor treatment I received yesterday. As a follow up Lyly texted me and apologized for what happened to me. Said she will talk to the employee that wasn't helpful to me. So I am adding to my review and changing my ratings. I've been wanting to try this place for a while since it's less than 5 minutes from where I live and I'm so glad I did! Was happy with the shape, without me letting her know what shape I wanted she could tell by the shape I already had (coffin). Other nails salons I've gone to usually make the nails look bulky and sharp and this place met beyond what I expected. I've been wanting a natural color and she knew exactly what I was referring to. The place is average, but the service was not great. The younger of the two technicians was pretty rough and caused two of my fingers to bleed. She didn't apologize or say anything but put alcohol on it. She kept the same towel from the last customer, who luckily happened to be my mom. I had to request a fresh one. She also didn't spend a great deal of time cleaning the tools. My aunt also went, and she was serviced by the older of the two ladies. She was much better and took her time to do things properly. I went in to get French tipped acrylics. Nails turned out great. I'm giving it a 4 star because I didn't feel relaxed during my visit. The nail technician didn't give me much eye contact or asked me much through out my visit. Another lady (I think was the owner) was lounging on the pedicure chair watching a movie, didn't care about me either. The atmosphere didn't feel "spa-like" I would come here again because it's close to my house only if I needed a quick fix. read more

Love this local nail saloon. My mom and I love getting our nails done here! By far the best manicures and service in the Mukilteo area. Each nail artist is talented and very nice. I have been going to Tina for 7+ years now. I've had my nails done by the other girl, the older one (I can never remember her name) & she does a good job, just takes longer. TIna is awesome! She always asks how my kids ( 6 & 4) are-they come with me alot & they are always very patient w/ them-they've known my kids since before they were born ;). It can get a bit busy as there are usually only 2 people working so wait times can be long-they will usually advise people of a better time to come back or that they'll have to wait, but I've never had to wait more than 15 min's w/ out some sort of heads up. I've had acrylics, pedicures & shellac done here as well as eyebrow wax (Tina did a nice clean up job for me-just a few strays that had grown in). For a hole in the wall nail place they do great work & their massage chairs are comfortable. I have moved out of Mukilteo (this place was right down street from where I used to live & I still come back here from S. Everett because they always get my nails right ) read more
