The more I try other nail salons, the more I appreciate coming to Sisters Nails. Sam and Katie, the owners and nail techs, only take appointments by phone. Strictly no walk-ins. I know that this could be a bummer to other potential or existing customers, but for me, this is one if the things that I like about them. They take their time and do quality work to each customer. My daughter has always gotten acrylics by Sam and I usually get no chip mani and pedi by Katie. They have always done awesome work. The place has consistently been quiet, clean, and relaxing. The best thing about Sisters Nails for me is that Sam and Katie are both quiet. They were always very polite and respectful. They have always replied to questions or made small talks, but overall, they have always been just quiet. The one thing that has always turned me off from other nail salons, was when all the technicians would talk loud with each other, in their own language. I speak my own native language too, but I personally feel that it is rude to talk (or laugh) with each other, in front of other people (customers). I also liked that the salon seemed bright with lots of stations. Also a plus, Dazzle Dry manicures were available. A basic mani is $21, with an additional charge of $10 for Dazzle Dry. These prices are in line with what I've experienced. They asked me if I needed my brows done. I said no. They asked me again. Again, no. I am familiar with Dazzle Dry manicures. I also have the products at home. The polish remover was not Dazzle Dry. Neither was coat #1 a branded DD product. I know the polish was DD, because it was on the label. I could see the top coat was DD. The tech rather roughly removed polish with the non-DD remover. Then she left to do a pedicure. Another tech took her place to complete the manicure. She asked me if I wanted my brows done. No. She repeated the question. I started to feel quite self-conscious. Do I have a Frida monobrow? Eugene Levy brows? My nails look nice and I was overall pleased with the service.

When I got there, there were like 3 or 4 workers just sitting and only one client, so it didn't look busy at all. But the moment I walked in, the way they looked at me already felt kind of off. I asked for a simple manicure, nothing crazy, just my natural nails. And they straight up told me "we don't do that." Which... confused me because it's literally a nail salon. I even showed them my nails and explained again, like no acrylics, nothing extra. Then they switched it to "we don't have time." That didn't make sense at all. They weren't busy and it was still early, they close later. The whole thing just felt weird and honestly rude. I don't like throwing this word around, but it really felt like I was being treated differently for no reason. I left feeling uncomfortable and kind of offended. I ended up going to Sofia Nail Salon right next door and they took me right away and were super nice, so I would definitely recommend going there instead. Just didn't feel welcoming at all here.

I went to Bunny Nails to treat myself to a manicure on a trip I was taking and the ladies took excellent care of me. They added some gel extensions to my nails, did the design I asked for and I couldn't be happier. No one said anything condescending about my nails which was a huge relief. I felt relaxed and at ease the whole time. In other visits, there seemed to be some disorganization where things weren't in the right place, or some confusion to the nail art I wanted so I had to sometimes settle for what was offered. I also don't know much about nails, gels, designs, etc so it could be me not knowing what to do. I would definitely come with a picture to show the staff. I haven't been back in a few months but I will be making an appointment shortly for another vacation I am taking.

However, I noticed the one doing my nails was in a rush and wasnt as through as I wanted the experience to be. She kept looking up and at the clock. As for the nails, it was nice at first. My big toe and 2nd toe on my right foot were not polished that well as you could see in the pic (couldn't tell til I got home and inspected everything). There is also some bubbling on the big toe. She also didn't tell me that one of my nails was almost coming off on my left foot. Lastly she didn't shape my left pinky toe well. It was a straight across and the left corner was pointy vs slightly curved. I was quoted $30 for the Pedi over the phone but I guess they added $5 to remove the no chip? Not a big deal, just stating for info purposes. Unfortunately I won't be returning.
