Very cool saloon located in the historic Tombstone Arizona. The bar is what you'd expect to see in the old Wild West; modern amenities excluded. The bar is an amazing example of a period watering hole and is quite grand. We stayed for lunch and wasn't over impressed by the food. Cool atmosphere though. read more

FYI, this place is CASH ONLY. The atmosphere is lovely. The beautiful full length bar seems original to the building based on pics on the walls. Less quality than our favorite neighborhood pizza place at home. We ordered the 16" with pepperoni, sausage, black olive. Almost no sauce. Very little topping. We came here during the pandemic ( January of 2021), and saw most patrons not wearing masks, even though there was a sign on the door that stated they had to. Nobody enforced it, which was really unfortunate. The bar was still too crowded, and people are rude here. Plus there is the matter of the food, which was merely passable. Nothing really special, it was just bar food that was served 45 minutes after we ordered it. That said, the service was terrible, the people who hang out here were rude and terrible. The food was only passable, and served late. We ordered drinks that got mixed up and even when they fixed the issue, nobody came to provide us with refills afterwards. What a terrible place this is. That's unfortunate, since it came highly recommended by some friends of ours who went here several years ago. Not going back anytime soon. read more

After living in Arizona for nearly 25 years, I finally had an opportunity to visit Tombstone! We were there 7/22/17. There are many places to eat on Allen Street - we decided to give the Crystal Palace a try. We were seated very promptly. Our server was Elsa, and she was fantastic! She was very attentive to our needs - she brought our drinks right away, took our orders promptly, and checked on us frequently throughout our meal. The Crystal Palace burger was great - the Texas toast "made it", in my opinion! Fries were hot & fresh - no complaints! Their menu is extensive - they may actually have too many options, but that's just my opinion. My only suggestion to them would be to offer a children's menu, especially since this area is PACKED with little ones. We ended up ordering sliders w/ fries for our 6-year old. That worked out okay for him. My only complaint was that the bathroom was small, and not very clean. Paper towel dispenser was not working, and they just had a roll sitting on the counter. Great food and drinks. You'll find more locals than tourists here. You won't find overly loud "themy" music blasting here but you will get great food and excellent service. Crystal Palace Saloon has been open since 1878 and has been under the current ownership for nearly 20 years. The walls are covered in history and artwork to keep you busy while you wait. Food is great and decently priced. Ribs are recommended by the owner and I would agree. There is upstairs and balcony seating where you can overlook the main street but during the week there is only full service downstairs. On weekends and peak season you'll get full service upstairs and on the balcony. TIP: CASH ONLY!! If you want a more touristy feel go to Big Nose Kate's. read more

We weren't sure where to eat but my husband remembered the Crystal Palace from the movie so we decided to check it out. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad with no croutons and it was mediocre. My dad mentioned that his chicken was rubbery, not an adjective I like to hear when talking about food. They don't have a very good kids menu and gluten free options were somewhat limited, especially since they were completely out of pizza. Not sure how that happen but apparently it did. The food itself earned a two star review in my book however the historical value and environment earned the third star. Not on my list of "places you have to try" when in the southwest. read more

My wife and I arrived in Tombstone on a Tuesday evening in March. We tried big nose Kate's but they close the kitchen at 7 so we walked over to the Crystal palace. The bar is cool and it is a great old west bar with lots to look at. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my wife got the Duke burger and asked for green chili. The waitress was all over the place, she took my wife's order then walked to another table bussed some items and had a short conversation with the other patrons. Then she came back to our table and took my order. This was a common theme the whole evening my wife ordered a drink the waitress walked away comes back 10 minutes later with her drink, then she looked at me and asked what I wanted. The food came out quick which was nice as we were hungry. The wife's Duke burger came out with no green chili a non existent patty covered with pulled pork. No big deal they were a little busy and it was close to closing time. I love chicken fried steak and I eat north of 100 CFS's per year and is kinda my got to. This CFS has entered a realm I don't think I've experienced before, one I could not tolerate to finish. It was terrible, there was plops of oil and grease all over the plate, it was so soggy with this oil the breading just fell off into a soupy bed oil slop. The waitress never asked me what I wanted for my two sides so I got what she chose for me. My sides were mashed potatoes and corn. The instant tasting potatoes were covered in the same flour infused gravy that covering the breaded steak/oil/mush concoction. Zero flavor. The corn was from a can. We love to eat out try new places and almost alway prefer mom and pop locations but Chrystal Palace you failed here. Chrystal Palace use this as an opportunity to remedy some of these issues. read more

Yes!! Food, atmosphere, friendly people everywhere. This is a great place to sit, eat and drink. We knew we picked the right spot when the actors came in and ate there. Great hangout spot. We ordered sliders, beer battered onion rings, salad and chili. Can you say delicious?? Everything was so good. 3 sliders with fistfuls of fries, hearty healthy serving of chili. The salad was in a tortilla shell and so much of it. The bartender was very nice and allowed us behind the bar to take pictures. My brother and his friend did a few shots of the oldest whiskey still in production. Can't remember what it was, but they enjoyed it so much. We celebrated my husbands birthday here tonight. He had the Cowboy Burger and I had a honey mustard chicken sandwich. Everything was very good! My husband ordered onion rings with his burger. They were huge! My chicken was juicy. I love the Texas Toast it was on also. After we stayed for a couple of cocktails. My husband ordered the jacks crystal punch and I order the prickly pear margarita. They were delicious and refreshing! The only reason why I did not give it five stars is because they were out of a few things tonight. You're walking in to a old wild west saloon with a beautifully restored bar and a cute little stage for live entertainment (No Live entertainment while we were there on a Sunday evening) We visited Tombstone on a Sunday evening and missed the crowds and ended up being the last two people in the saloon talking with the bartender Roman and learning all about the fascinating Tombstone history. I have to give credit to Roman who was extremely knowledgeable and taking our experience here up a notch. All in all, Drinks were great, friendly service and atmosphere, and a gorgeous historical bar. Cant say much about the food as we only ordered some chicken tenders. We had a wonderful night here and would definitely come back next time we visit Tombstone! read more

I don't usually feel inspired to leave negative reviews but my experience at Crystal Palace was quite inspiring. The service wasn't awful but it was very negligent. It took forever for our waitress to come take drink orders and even longer for our food to come. The food itself was ok at best. They managed to make pizza spicy (without spicy toppings) and the menu lacked diversity for people looking for a lighter meal. As of the ambiance, I loved all the Western decor and the posters in the hallway to the bathroom. That being said, the immersion is totally broken by tacky balloons, radio commercials, and a giant TV. This place is far from cozy but serves its purpose as a place to eat if you are starving. read more

We were happy to find a great place for lunch that was also pet friendly. The open faced roast beef sandwich was fabulous. The Duke burger was thick and juicy with shredded roast beef on top. If service seemed slow,don't be concerned as the servers were moving fast despite the large number of patrons. Be patient. It's worth the wait. Sp vial shout out to Emily!! We were traveling with our pups and we were made welcome inside the saloon area. We also had option of the outdoor patio but since it was not full and the weather was hot we choose inside. My wife, her best friend and I went into the Crystal Palace just before 8pm on a Sunday. It was pretty empty but our server was friendly and attentive. The Steak and pizza were good, but the Onion rings and Golden fried Shrimp are plus they gave us some free cake to take back to our room. Food here was a solid three stars, service probably a four, gave them an overall bump up in rating for accommodating our dog which was super-cool. Many restaurants in Tombstone don't, and I understand why due to the laws, but Crystal Palace was cool about it and let us sit by the door with our dog. This place is alright. I came here twice. The first time I didn't order any food, just the Sarsaparilla. Second time I had the Country Fried Steak. Each time we were greeted and service is alright. Nothing about this place is a "WOW" factor. I wouldn't recommend bringing children in. The ladies dress the way you think a Saloon would dress their servers. Plus there are some paintings on the wall that are a tad PG13~ R. Pricing is fairly average for a tourist town. I spent about 10$ on my meal. If I went back to the area, I probably would return to this restaurant because it's familiar and they have a bathroom! read more

Time Traveled back to the Wild Wild West for some great food & beer !!! I made sure I planned my family trip to make a side stop for lunch at one of the few historic Saloon at Tombstone and I chose Crystal Palace Saloon base on all my Yelp & Tripadvisors research. The bar was really historic and you can see the stage where they use to perform and all the waitress and bar tenders was in full Tombstone historic outfits to give you a feel of the bar. The food was really good as we had the 'Shroom Burger , the Home on the Range Burger and the fried shrimp . As we was about to leave , I saw all the Ok Coral's actor taking a break here too. That's is a great sign that even the locals was coming here . Check out my photos - I really felt I time travel back. Everyone in my family was happy with the decision to have lunch here and enjoyed our food very much. Service was not fast but acceptable and waitress recommended a local beer that I really like (ask for the local beer - Unfortunately I forgot the name). P.S. We tried to stop in twice in one day. Both times we stood and waited to be seated and no one ever came to us. We even asked the bartender if we had to wait to be seated and she said yes. Meanwhile other people came in right in front of us and just grabbed the news and sat down. Finally one of the waiters came by and we asked him if we needed to wait to be seated and he said yes. We said we had been waiting over 10 minutes and nobody came to us and his response said well we're busy. There were at least 6 open tables on the ground floor.
