Laid back atmosphere with great food and Amazing prices! BYOB! The service was impeccable, very attentive without being annoying!

We have been waiting for over a year to try this exquisite gem of a restaurant in the Bisbee hamlet of Warren. Either it was closed, or our schedules didn't work. It was worth the wait, and our only regret is that we hadn't prioritized trying it sooner. Everything was magical, from the laid-back, hippie atmosphere of the street it resides on to the experience once inside the establishment. What makes this even more notable, and further enhances the experience, is the lack of similar dining establishments in deep southern Arizona. One can find fine dining in Tucson, over an hour away and far too far for a simple evening out. That's not to say there aren't decent or good restaurants in Cochise County. However, none excel in all aspects of an evening out experience, from greeting to service to the quality of the meal. We had a reservation and were seated immediately at the only table open in the restaurant. That is a plus for their table management. Within two minutes, our waiter appeared with water and bread. Expressing our joy at this proper start to the meal is impossible. In eight years of living in southern Arizona, we have often observed management and wait staff at other establishments taking five minutes or more to arrive at the table. That delay typically foreshadows a lack of basic service that follows. The bread basket featured freshly baked country bread, accompanied by a small plastic ramekin of butter. We would have enjoyed the butter served more elegantly, but that is a minor matter. The bread was excellent. We had heard that the restaurant's appetizers are a highlight and decided to try three: a fresh bacon, apple, arugula, and beet salad, Mussels Meuniere (which were specials), and Arancini. The salad was beautifully composed with just the right amount of dressing to highlight the flavors of the ingredients. The Arancini may have been the best I have ever had. Perfectly fried balls of tender risotto set in a delicious tomato sauce were an unexpected treat. The mussels, unfortunately, were the low point of the meal. Overcooked and rubbery mussels in a tepid sauce that lacked depth and flavor were a major disappointment. Still, that was the only disappointment of the evening and didn't detract from the rest of the meal. We chose two specials for our main course. My wife selected the Salmon topped with a deconstructed Clams Casino. I opted for chicken cutlets topped with eggplant and a dollop of pesto, served in a rich Roman mushroom tomato sauce. The Salmon was incredible. Perfectly cooked and nestled on a plate expertly nappeed with a sublime sauce, it alone excited the palate. But when topped with a well-made clam casino mixture, the dish became an epicurean delight. The chicken was masterfully prepared and was highlighted by the silky-textured eggplant that topped it. The Roman mushroom tomato sauce was well made, my only minor comment being that a different choice of mushrooms might have taken the dish to another level. That said, I would order it again, and probably will if it's on the menu when we return. The dessert selection had me wishing for a larger stomach. Every item on the menu and the specials board looked enticing. We settled on a Basque Cheese cake with blackberries and bananas. We could not have asked for a finer way to end the evening. Perfectly cooked, silky cheesecake in a subtle white sauce and topped with dollops of fresh whipped cream provided just the right amount of sweet and tart to end the meal. The pig resides in Warren an outlying community that is part of Bisbee AZ. Very unusually they are closed Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays so they're only open four days a week and tough to get into. I wangled a reservation for one for a Sunday evening. The chicken scallopini was recommended an excellent, a little side dish of broccoli, carrots and mushrooms complemented the excellent entrée well chicken was tender and flavorful and came on a bed of homemade spaghetti. Note, the desserts at the pig look excellent including a chocolate soufflé, but I was too full to partake. This is a very well run restaurant. This place is a nightmare. I understand that any food you find in Warren can only be compared to road kill, but I think road kill might be better. Under the pretense of fine dining, you get some rather poorly prepared dishes. My dish was so hot with jalapeño that no fire hose cool me down. Yet the waiter assured me it was mild.... Nope. And my wife's dish was just bad, cut up chicken drowning in marjoram. So we asked for the chef to re-cook th dishes but they had fled the building. Yes, the chef left and we were stuck with awful dinners. The waiter suggested we cover it with cream to mask the flavor and even brought out a bowl of cream... can you believe that? I'm surprised he didn't suggest we spray it with Lysol to improve the taste! So we thought, maybe desert will be better. OMG, no. The bread pudding was like a sugar soup with ready whip on top. I have no idea what they were thinking. This was NOT bread pudding. My wife had a chocolate cake-like substance that was better than a melted Hershey bar. Coffee? Oh yes they make a fresh pot once a week and you can tell. Save yourself a buck and go to Safeway. read more

First off, we had no reservations and the little place was pretty busy, but they found us a table immediately. The restaurant is very cute and elegant, but fun at the same time. Our waitress (the owner) was amazing and made our special anniversary night even more special! It is BYOB and we didn't know that, but when I asked about wine, she found and brought us out two glasses of white wine, no charge! She explained the food expertly and with passion, the food all came out delicious and the cheesecake was fantastic as well. If we weren't just visiting Bisbee, we would be here often! We really enjoyed the food and service at this unique spot just outside of Bisbee in the town of Warren, Arizona. Great flavors on the fish dishes we ordered; parmesan crusted, tuna with Angel, hair, pasta, and veggies, and grilled tilapia and shrimp with Angel, hair, pasta, and veggies. We got Arancini appetizer hot out of the oven. It was delicious with their fresh bread and butter. For dessert, the basque cheesecake w/raspberries was amazing! The service was also excellent. So glad we were able to get a reservation at the last minute. Be aware, they are only open a few days a week and only from 5 PM to 8 PM. read more

So lovely! An absolute culinary gem hidden in south Bisbee. If you had told me we were in a major city, being fed by an nationally recognized chef, I would have eaten up every word (pun intended). We walked into the restaurant on the later side for a Sunday (close to 8pm), and although they were at capacity, they made space. We very much appreciated it because we had been traveling most of the day and were fairly desperate at that point. The server/owner was perfectly thorough while guiding us through the menu. We had arinici to start, the pig trio for an entree, and the Basque cheesecake to finish up; plus, a solid, perfectly prepared portion of complimentary sourdough bread and whipped butter. My only complaint is we do not live in Bisbee so we can't go back and experience it regularly. read more

Food here is wonderful as is the service. Prices are reasonable for the high quality of the food. The only negative is the truly awful art work on the walls. PLEASE consider changing that as it is NOT what I would like to look at while eating. It turns my stomach. Is that a good thing in a restaurant? We have a home in Bisbee and we went for my birthday. I recommend making a reservation. It's very popular. This place is so quaint, and the server was very friendly. We like that they are open Sunday through Wednesday, which is great for the locals. We both had the salmon dish, and it was cooked in a way I have never experienced. It was delicious. It's BYOB, so we just brought a couple of beers and they gave us a nice glass to put them in. This is such a fun place. I highly recommend going. read more

Wow, not even sure how to start this review this place was so amazing. If you like Cafe Roka- then you'll like Copper Pig! My family all lives out of town and we came here with our family friends per their recommendation and wow we LOVED IT. It is BYOB- bring your own beer (or wine) A short distance away, Bisbee has great selections of wine to pickup on your way here. This restaurant sits in Warren. Portion size was amazing! Everything the table had was delicious. They do start the table with bread and butter. We also tried some appetizers - the soup starter and the salad starter which were delicious. The ambiance is just on point. If you're looking for a romantic evening with your significant other or looking for a lovely evening with friends and family this is the place! The ambiance is definitely more relaxed, romantic vibes- definitely more on the fine dining side I would say! Service was equally amazing, this server specifically remembered our family friend's names (they have been there before) but I think that is just so nice and says a lot about a server. Courses were severed in a reasonable timely fashion one after another with some time in between. It was timed absolutely perfectly. We also had a large group of 8, which they accommodated. I HIGHLY recommend putting in a reservation. They're open only specific days and hours and this is not a big restaurant, so I highly recommend putting in reservations ahead of time! I don't know how we got so lucky! We had never been to Bisbee, but my two daughters surprised me with a day trip for Mother's Day. We planned to grab dinner before heading back, not thinking we might need reservations. We showed up right at 5:00 when they opened only to find out, they were completely booked for the night, but, they happened to have just gotten a cancellation so we were able to be seated immediately. So lucky! After we were seated, the restaurant quickly filled up and stayed completely full the entire time we were there. Our server was so warm and welcoming, went over all of the specials, answered questions, gave suggestions, and we decided on the jambalaya, the pork medallion special and the tilapia. While we waited, they served delicious bread and butter. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quirky, but upscale and lovely. Then the food arrived. Perfect portions, not too much, but definitely substantial. My jambalaya was seasoned to perfection! I appreciate that you can control the spice level. My daughter's tilapia with the angel hair pasta was light and flavorful. But, the star of the show was the pork medallions! I realized that I don't usually care for pork because I don't think I've ever actually had really good pork. This dish was excellent! Rich, delicious, the pork was tender and flavorful. We all agreed our dinner was collectively one of the best we've ever had. We ended the meal with the Basque cheesecake, and it was equally as delicious as the entire meal had been, light, creamy, not too sweet. Everything about the meal was perfect! The service, the ambience, the food. Highly, highly recommend! Again, I don't know how we got so lucky because we did not have a reservation, but, if you happen to he in the area, I would definitely recommend making a reservation and trying it out, it's so worth it! read more

Very tasty Atlantic salmon with vegetables and noodles served piping hot. You can BYOB which many people did tonight. Peach cheesecake was bland compared to the delicious sauces on the other food. Memo did a good job of serving us by getting the food and drinks out quickly. The room is very dark which usually I don't like because it can be claustrophobic, but it was nice not to have the glare. The place is small which is why you need to have a reservation. Decor could use some work on cohesiveness. It was quiet except for the explosive laughter from people having a good time. Making reservations is essential. BYOB they provide wine glasses. Open Sunday through Wednesday. This relatively new addition to the Bisbee food scene was an instant favorite with locals. The Copper Pig has delicious food, friendly staff, charming ambience. Thankfully, while I personally don't eat pig, they have many fabulous choices for a fish or veggie lover. My pork eating friends have loved their meals. They graciously accommodate Vegetarians. I particularly enjoy the appetizers and salads. I really love the space and the art, it has a very European feel and they have a charming chalkboard with the specials listed. Had another great dinner last night at The Copper Pig! Cream of broccoli soup and pasta primavera! All four at the table loved their meals and the service. With seating for about 36 people, this is a sweet place to bring friends. We were also able to bring our own wine (for a small cork fee) which made the meal even more enjoyable! Only been in Bisbee a few days in my life, but wound up eating here twice. Both times were phenomenal. Fine dining at its finest. Menu is well thought out and has something everyone will enjoy.
