So I decided to try this place for the first time as I was hungover and hungry! I wanted something other than a burger or bar food. I was greeted at the door and seated immediately. The host actually went over the daily specials, explained some menu items, and pointed out where the restrooms were. Exceptional service. My waiter came over soon after and took my drink order and brought the drink right away, and then took my food order. I was really hungry so I ordered the CFS skillet, and holy hell this was a ton of food. I ordered my potatoes extra crispy and that they were, they were hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious, and there were plenty of them. My dippy eggs were absolutely perfect and beautiful to look at. Also hot and delicious. The CFS definitely tasted processed and pre frozen, but it was huge, and it was ok. The gravy was ok but could be more flavorful. The toast was rye toast and it was fresh and tasty. Overall this was a solid meal, and I would probably get it again. Now be advised if you order this before 11:00am it comes with hash browns, after 11:00am it comes with fried country potatoes. I recommend this place if you're in Tombstone and hungry. read more

We stopped in for lunch while walking around Tombstone and really liked it. It's right in the original town area, and even though the building itself isn't original, it still feels like you're stepping back in time, which was fun. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. And they have A/C!!!!! We had no wait, service was great, and the food was fresh. I had the Cobb salad and my partner had the taco salad, and both were really good. Only things worth noting outside of the great food and service is that the bathrooms are for customers only and there's a 3% add-on if you use a card. Before dining at Tombstone's Longhorn Restaurant, I read the varied reviews. I'm not sure if the dining experience differs due to the increased weekend crowds, but our weekday visits (yes, plural) were positive. Freshly arrived from checking-in to our nearby hotel and thirsty from the 8-hour drive, our party decided to grab cocktails and a bite to eat somewhere along Allen Street. We quickly realized that most shops and businesses close around 5 o'clock (which was approaching), so choosing the Longhorn, with its extended hours and large menu, was a no-brainer. We started with a couple of Bloody Marys and a blooming onion appetizer. The Marys weren't particularly spicy but were well-made and traditionally garnished. For an extra charge ($5.00, I believe) you could even purchase a souvenir glass. The blooming onion was also prepared well - not greasy - and came with a tasty dipping sauce I also used on other foodstuffs later. For dinner, my wife and I split the Dunkin' Burger (with french fries) while our friends ordered the New York Steak, baked potato, and a salad. I, personally, didn't think the dipping au jus did anything for our burger since the Angus patty was flavorful and the Texas Toast was soft and crunchy, so I opted to spread some of the onion's heretofore mentioned dipping sauce on it, instead. No complaints from our friends on their steak, which was still sizzling upon presentation and came with a large dollop of garlic butter. Do note, the Longhorn charges a plate-splitting fee, but we were informed of this in advance. We waddled out stuffed and satisfied. The following morning, we found that most businesses didn't open until 10 o'clock; so, being early risers, back it was to the Longhorn for breakfast! I was really blown away by the Country Fried Angus Steak and Eggs I ordered. Hefty, thick yet tender, and topped with a rich country gravy, the steak took up the entire plate (leaving room for the eggs only on top of it all). My wife's simple order of French Toast and bacon paled in comparison, though it was equally to her liking. It was a great way to start our long-anticipated day of exploring Tombstone's shops and attractions. The restaurant's decor beckons diners to explore Tombstone's history through the period photographs, artwork, and artifacts that adorn the walls in the two main dining areas. The backlit stained-glass murals are beautiful, casting a golden glow throughout the interior, and the furnishings perfectly reinforce the town's western motif. Another praiseworthy facet of the Longhorn Restaurant is the staff. Our two servers, Melissa for dinner and Shelby for breakfast the following morning, were so sweet. Melissa, learning we had just arrived into town, offered to snap several seated photos of us, and Shelby gave us a variety of suggestions for points of interest, attractions, and events that would be taking place the day we were there. Our sincere appreciation is extended to both these friendly, hardworking ladies! In all, we really enjoyed both our visits to the Longhorn Restaurant. Prices were actually cheaper than what we anticipated in a town relying largely on tourist dollars, the food and service were on point, and the overall vibe fell right in line with what a lover of western history would expect. The waitress really made our lunch amazing. We had a party of 6 and got seated in the back - a cozy spot where we could hear each other well. Then we heard that 2 more were coming so the waitress added chairs- and then we heard that there would in fact be 10 - upon which our waitress gladly added a two top table! And then we heard that three weren't coming after all - so she removed the two top and was all smiles and pleasantness and - well, she just made us feel so welcome despite all the craziness we introduced. Probably the best restaurants on Allen St. Definitely not the hype of the old west like the others but it is real food unlike the fried bar food. The server was an absolute hoot! He joked and laughed and we really enjoyed his interaction! Obliviously you have to try the Tombstone IPA. Too bad it's not a draft. The meatloaf and country fried steak were absolutely delicious! My family and I had a good time here! Our server was a very sweet lady named Margaret. Started with the blooming onion, chili cheese fries and potato skins for appetizers. Our favorite was the potato skins. The Blooming onion was fried to perfection, but I didn't care too much for the sauce as it is a mixture of ranch and salsa. I'm used to more mayonnaise based dipping sauce, you know me - lol - i LOVE my sauces!! We ordered two full racks of St. Louis ribs, and they were good, but may have been cooked earlier in the week. Their barbecue sauce made up for anything that was lacking there, so that was a total win! We splurged on chicken quesadilla , sourdough bread and also ordered a cup of chili for the Hubby, which is the same chili they put on the fries, but I guess he just had to have it ! My boys enjoyed the root beer and of course they serve alcohol. One of my son's even ate his entire pulled pork sandwich! There's lots of art to see, and the tables are also decorated. Surprisingly the bathroom was really pretty! We dropped almost $200 with tip and had a great time, there was no music to speak of, but there's plenty of space and we were sat quickly and were served quickly. I have rambunctious loud boys and didn't feel any sort of way at the laughter and the good time that we had! Here's my tip - order an appetizer before you even get settled. Have been here a few times in the past for convenience, despite the mediocre and overpriced tourist-trap food but today we were treated so poorly upon reception that we (party of 6) had to walk out, as did the unrelated party of 5 behind us. When the scowl faced waitress/hostess finally acknowledged all of us whom were patiently standing inside she said it would be a 10-15 minute wait "to clean off a table" and she would "put our names on a list" but we "all had to be present" which we told her we already were. She then told us we HAD to all wait outside in the 90 degree plus heat. Since there were only a total of two occupied tables that looked almost finished and numerous empty and clean tables and space visible, it was clear she just didn't want to seat us. We saw one other waitress, so apparently two tables total with maybe a total of 8-10 patrons for two waitresses was too much for them. We may not have minded waiting had she not been so surly, rude and dismissive but it was especially unnecessary and ridiculous to expect us all to unnecessarily wait outside in the heat on the sidewalk. The restaurant was large and virtually empty! We left, as did the other party behind us who said "We don't have to put up with this shit". Our sentiments exactly. Came with my 14 yr old granddaughter for a overnight trip in tombstone. Parking is a nightmare if your handicap. We got here on a Tuesday evening. Did not have to wait to be seated. Service was ok. Nothing special. I had the pot roast special which was pot roast over Mashed Potatoes with a sluce of texas toast. My granddaughter had a chicken wrap with fries. She did not care for gers. The wrap was tp sweet and she spit out werid pieces of chicken $11.99. My pot roast had a decent flavor but some of the pieces of meat had a weird texture. Traditionaly we prefer Longhorn over Big Nose Kates (whos food is consistantly below par). Today however Longhorn reached a low for us. The "Grilled" Ceaser Salad: Even after specificaly making note to the waitress to tell the kitchen to NOT have the dressing "swim" my salad it was drenced and the precooked breast was above room temperature. The Fried Chicken Salad: Came out sliced pink and underdone. When asked to take it back for a fresh breast it then came back with the same chicken that had again been deep fried to render it done and it was laying hot and greasy on the lettuce. Went here for dinner yesterday, we were there for the Helldorado days. The event itself was really fun. Would recommend going for that. Stopped in here, I ordered the fish tacos & husband ordered steak & eggs. My fish was super cold!! Also, I asked for fried fish & it was grilled. I askes for lettuce instead of cabbage & got cabbage. They have a very wide variety of food. The scenery on the inside is pretty cool and obviously western themed. The waitresses are good about refilling drinks and checking in on you. However, it's kind of overpriced for what it is. Then again, it's at a tourist sight so it's kind of expected. The portions are pretty big. The steak was really good, cooked to perfection, and seasoned beautifully! Their guacamole is really good and their regular fries and especially sweet potato fries are super good. The quesadilla is ok. There was a lot of breading and a bunch of chicken was falling out. It was still pretty good. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone visiting Tombstone! read more

Let me start with the food is good, plentiful and tasty. The wait staff is NOT THE BEST. We were in for breakfast this morning. Very simple, eggs, toast, bacon and hasbrowns. We were seared, no silverware offered. Waitress, offered us coffee and we asked for water too. Coffee arrived, no water. Waitress failed to bring our water, I went to the bar and got two glasses of ice water. During our order, we asked for one of the toasts to be WITHOUT BUTTER. So, when the food was delivered my toast was buttered. Grrrr We started eating our food believing toast was on the way. I finished my meal, still no toast. When the toast finally arrived, I complained to the waitress that it took to long and her response was - YUP - the cook took to long to make the toast ! ! That's two meals in two days were the wait staff blamed the cooks ! The owners need to look into why the wait staff arbitrarily blame the cooks ! A very eclectic place with a lot of character and interesting history. We were comfortably seated upon arrival, and the place was crowded. There are a couple of rooms and the atmosphere is casual and easygoing. There was a raucous group celebrating a birthday in the next room, but, hey it's OK. The menu has good choices and I originally opted for what looked like an opportunity for a fried chicken dinner, but was told there wasn't any available. One of our party told me that seems to be the case everywhere there due to the avian flu. Oh well, I then chose the Diablo Burger with fries. The burger was Angus beef with lots of extras, including jalapeno bacon, jalapeno slices, avocado, paperback cheese and chipotle mayo. YUM! The burger was well prepared, tasty and had just the right amount of kick. The fries were fries, nothing special. Overall portions are large. Someone in our party got the meatloaf and it looked amazing, and a huge amount of food. Service was friendly and very swift and on target. Everyone seemed on top of their game. Prices are a bit on the pricey side, yet not out of reason. I definitely recommend this place. Just remember that they do 'pull the sidewalks up' early in Tombstone. read more

Did a road trip to Tombstone. Decided we needed lunch and decided upon Longhorn. Very easy to find (right on the main street), lots of choices (steak, ribs, burgers, chicken, salads, breakfast). We were there on a Sunday noon in the summer, we were able to get right in. I have been here several times in the past and we usually had to wait 10 minutes or so. I had the ribs and there were ok. They were a bit tough for my taste. The green beans were decent. The menu say half rack was 4 ribs but I had 6. My friend had breakfast with the chicken fried steak skillet.
